Is there any way around it to unlock my bootloader when it says no
if the device was bought from a carrier and is branded and it says no then no there is no way of unlocking the bootloader

I purchased an Xperia Z3 (D6603) in November on contract from Vodafone UK and today I decided to unlock the boot loader. My phone is on contract but I got it SIM unlocked. When I opened the service menu, it says "Bootloader unlock allowed: No".
Is there any way to unlock the bootloader?

your out of luck for time being, however soon enough you will be able to run custom roms as long as the stock kernel is used so its not all doom and gloom.
I just bought a brand new Z5 E6653 "Factory Unlocked GSM".
The phone has a 1298-7314 customization number (Hong Kong region) and the phone has "Bootloader unlock allowed: No".
So I'm guessing every Z5 from the HK region are Bootloader non-unlockable (country restriction probably).
I'm trying to find a Z5 with "Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes".
Your customization number is found in service menu by dialing *#*#7378423#*#*
That will help me narrow down which region offers an unlockable bootloader and consequently buy the phone
from that region.

Edit: I didn't include carrier CDAs in the list as I would assume the phones would be totally locked down.

Are there any other requirements other than the phone needs to be SIM unlocked to obtain a bootloader unlock token from Oneplus? I don't mind waiting for 7 days, but just want to make sure if I buy a used one from ebay, its bootloader can be unlocked and phone can be rooted.
that's all i needed to unlock bootloader , unless somebody already unlocked the bootloader with their account and relocked it i dont know how it would work then , i had same concern buying second hand t-mobile op8
