Xperia Z3 Stuck on boot logo after flashing TWRP Recovery - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I have unlocked my bootloader and tried to flash the TWRP recovery but now it is stuck on boot logo. Sometimes I can open TWRP recovery but the phone is not booting up. Please help me....

What flashed you? Boot.img? Which command used you?
Problem can be, that you flashed incompatible boot.img imho.

You have to hold the volume up key and then hold the power button. It should shut off giving you the ability to restart without issue. I never had a twrp problem but have had that experience more than once.
Generally speaking, unlocked bootloader is for aosp-non stock-roms, all of which have twrp baked in.

can boot recovery from fastboot but can't flash!

Hey guys,
My friend is having some issues with getting twrp on his new oneplus one:
the bootloader was succesfully unlocked and we tried flashing the twrp recovery on it (both the latest version and the previous version) fastboot said that it was succesfull but when we tried to boot the recovery by holding power + volume down the device hung on a black screen and needed to be restarted, and this happens everytime! However if we do fastboot boot openrecovery....img it takes a while but the recovery boots just fine!
what's going on here? can anyone tell me why it won't boot a flashed recovery?
I have the same issue as you, and yet to find an solution. Try using Philz Touch or CWM instead, both worked for me.

Many people don't know the correct procedure to boot into recovery using the button combination, what you need to do is first hold volume down, then hold power as well, the phone will vibrate and you'll see the OnePlus splash screen, after about a second you can let go of the power button and keep holding volume down until it boots into recovery. If you continue to good the power button after seeing the splash screen the device becomes confused and thinks you're trying a hard reset.

i would while booting the device keep pressing the power button to force shutdown the device. immediately after turning off, press and hold both power button and vol - keys for 10sec or more and release. this will get you into the bootloader screen. on that keep pressing vol - to select 'recovery' and press vol + to go into the recovery. good luck

that leaves you only with one option. get into the bootloader screen, and flash the latest stock ROM using fastboot commands. then try flashing custom recovery, custom ROM from the beginning. i would skip flashing bootloader though.

Unable to boot into TWRP after unlocking bootloader and successfully installing TWRP

Hi! Yesterday I unlocked my bootloader successfully. My Honor6X is the European BLN-L21 version. When I bought the device EMUI 4.1 was preinstalled and I made official upgrade to EMUI 5. After unlocking bootloader yesterday I installed latest TWRP from our TWRP-thread. All was successfull but there was a big problem. I can´t boot into TWRP recovery. When I power phone there is always the "warning, bootloader is unlocked" screen. When I press volume up button the phone boots into erecovery but not into TWRP! Otherwise when phone is fully powered OFF, I press volume up and power button at the same time. Then device starts booting and the booloader screen appears again. This time there is instantly the "device is booting now" screen but then nothing happens anymore and i have to restart phone manually.
SO PROBLEM IS: I can´t get into recovery.
Has anyone an idea why i have this problem and someone is able to help me or might know a way to fix this bug/issue?
It would be very nice if someone could help me.
BTW: Is it normal that when I restore/flash full system image via erecovery that the bootloader is locked again?
Best regards, Felix

Rooted 'bricked' stuck in "your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" screen

Rooted 'bricked' stuck in "your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" screen
So I have a rooted unlocked bootloader honor 6x which I attempted to install a custom ROM on. I messed up the installation and my backup was deleted and I believe the stock OS was deleted, also the custom ROM was not installed. I've been going through forms all day learning how to flash the stock ROM using fastboot. I was in fastboot earlier untill I restarted it by holding the power button and I can no longer get into fastboot. I have no more options to go into erecovery and it doesn't register inputs from any button other than the power. The only thing the power does is restarts the phone to the honor logo, then back to the same screen. I have very slow internet and I've been downloading the stock ROM to flash via fastboot since this morning but because I can't get into fastboot I can't fix my error.
Am I totally screwed? Any help is appreciated :good:
Update: I got the phone into erecovery, I can't seem to get it into fastboot though.

Download this: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1279/g104/v82849/f1/full/update.zip
Extract it.
create a folder on your sdcard called "dload"
put the UPDATE.APP file which you got from the extracted zip file into the "dload" folder
shutdown
put sdcard into phone
press all physical buttons (power button , volume up AND volume down at the same time for 10-15 seconds
let the phone do the update
when phone is at 100% and says it will reboot, press ONLY volume up for 10 seconds
phone will boot to erecovery
wipe cache
peform a factory reset
reboot
enjoy!

Thanks bud, life saver. I'll try it later today.
if that doesnt work then request for TWRP backup for your model. If someone having it, can provide. I messed up the simialr way but luckily I had the 15 days old backup so was able to restore

So I've tried the file you sent me, and one for an earlier version and neither work. Both stop at 5% and say '"Sowtware install failed! Incompatibility with current version. Please download the correct update package." I cant do a TWRP restore because everything was wiped. Any advice?
download honor 6x rollback package (7.0 to 6.0) from hihonor.com website. extract the update.app file and put it into the dload folder, better if on your internal storage.
then shutdown phone and press power, volume up and volume down buttons. rollback package should install.
then download android 6.0 update package from the same website and do the same steps again. after installing, your phone will boot on android 6.0 and you can update it to 7.0 via settings.
sorry for the quick message and the missing links but I'm on mobile now. ask if you need.
EDIT: to get into fastboot, even if your phone keeps rebooting:
wait until your screen goes off for reboot sequence.
when the screen is off, and before it turns on again, keep pressing volume down button and connect the usb cable as fast as possible. you should be able to get into fastboot mode because every time the phone is turned on, no matters what, it checks what buttons are pressed and if usb is connected.
good luck
