Navbar in 5.1.1 disables themes - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've had aosp style navbar and disabled the hardware keys whith the app "soft buttons" from google play since I got this phone (rooted straight away) and it has worked flawlessly with 5.0.2. There were some UI glitches in a couple of Samsung apps as been mentioned in other threads but nothing major. But now with 5.1.1 a big drawback has been encountered. When trying to apply a theme from the theme store I get a massage that I have to remove the cover keyboard (none has ever been used on my phone) and even when I apply a theme and then after enable softkeys the theme will revert back to stock. Seems like softkeys trigger a theme failsafe. Has anyone else encountered this? And can we disable something or force themes in some way so that it works? I really like to make my phone as close to aosp as possible with both navbar and material theme
...edit...
This thread helped me and should help others with theme issues similar to this. The workaround presented there will do for now

MiLocker MIUI Themes not switching

Hello all. I am running the latest Tsugi rom, and I installed MiLocker as well as multiple milocker themes. Something I have noticed: I can use locker themes where the unlock function is a pull down box, but when I switch to another theme that uses a different unlock function it does 1 of 2 things. Some themes wont even switch at all. It will say it was applied succesfully, but the unlock theme is exactly the same as before. With another theme, the background will switch, but the button will not switch to a different kind of button (in this case a 5 way radial button, or something like that). It will remain as a pull down to unlock box, albeit with a slightly different look.
This is incredibly frustrating, as I pretty much cannot switch the themes to anything I like. Someone want to help me out?

Occasional launcher freeze on unlock

I have a brand new Nexus 5 (not refurb, not 5X) that runs beautifully under 4.4.4. It runs even better under 6.x.x, except for one serious problem. Upon unlocking the phone, maybe 4 in 10 times, the launcher is unresponsive.
- notification shade still works, I can pull down notifications, tap a notification to launch an app, etc...
- navbar buttons work fine
- power button menu works fine
- no launcher functions work. Icons don't respond to taps, can't swipe between pages, nothing works.
- problem has occurred with Google Now launcher, Nova Launcher, Arrow Launcher, and CM Launcher. Doesn't appear to be a launcher bug.
- hardware/screen problem seems unlikely as well since the notification shade and navbar buttons work
Any suggestions as to how to further troubleshoot this? I've search high and low and have found nothing indicating this to be a known problem.

How to move the NavBar in the back using SmartKey and having a fullscreen display?

Hi! I'm pretty new here.
I was wondering if it is possible to move the navbar buttons in the "back", using the smart key (single press for Home, double for Multitasking ecc.) and so, by using another tweak let the Navbar disappear getting a fullscreen display? Obviously by rooting.
Anyone got some idea?
Hi there. I've done it. You need Android M with root+twrp and xposed.
Then you just need two xposed modules.
1. xposed additions- allows you to map actions to physical buttons. I've set the FPS button to: 1 click=back, long click=home, double click=multitasking and tripple click=torch on/off Worked like a charm.
2. gravitybox- allows you to make changes to the UI. Designed with AOSP launcher in mind, but some functions work with EMUI. In navbar section you can change the size (Setting heigth to 75-80% makes it look quite good, 0% will hide it - i preffered the first option, as having the navbar on was handy when the phone is just sitting on the table etc. Maybe there is a way to make it come up and disappear on demand, but i couldn't be bothered to investigate this.)
The only issue is that xposed has a little issue with emui. Sometimes the dialer crashes when trying to make a phone call. A reboot makes the issue go away for a while, but eventually it's back. I haven't found a solution to this anywhere online.
If anybody here knows how to fix the xposed & emui compatibility issue, or has a method that doesn't require xposed I'd appreciate this information too.

Light/Dark device theme not working correctly?

When I set the theme to dark, as opposed to automatic--- it is ONLY changing the quick settings tiles and volume control.
I swear that when I did this back when I got the phone, it also changed the google "discover" feed to a dark/transparent, and also all of the settings pages to a dark/transparent.
But I can't get that to happen anymore.
It MIGHT have something to do with me no longer using stock launcher, as I have switched to Nova.
I've seen other posts of people getting stuck on dark theme also.
Why can't google just get this stuff correct in the first place?

10.3.1 Navigation Button Does Nothing/Colours Have Changed

I updated to 10.3.1 this morning and now I can't use the navigation button which normally opens a list of my currently open apps so that I can switch between them/close the apps.
I am using a different launcher, Nova Launcher and I restarted it but it didn't fix the problem.
Is anyone else having this problem, or know how I can fix it?
My other problem is that I didn't use the "default" colour mode that was on the previous version, I used to use the alternative but now when I choose the alternative, it makes the phone almost black and white. The default colour mode looks too saturated and bright.
Any suggestions on how to solve the colour problem?
Download navbar apps.

do clean flash, something might have gone wrong
