Any help would be appreciated...
Im a Sprint customer and my contract ends in May, I have learned to hate it... I want to change over to the AT&T Tilt phone... I been reading a lot about mods and unlocking this phone, etc. I understand that unlocking the phone allows me to use it on different networks but how does that really affect things.. what other service providers would support this phone? How does unlocking the phone and using it on another network work in relation to internet access, etc. Would it be that all Im doing is just giving myself the option to use this phone but with a plan from another company? Should I even worry about unlocking it? Just looking for some clear explanation of things.. thanks in advance
an unlocked tilt will work on any gsm network
and internet will work depending on the network both sittingwise
and speedwise
Hi I'm noob to this site and I don't know anything about modifiying a phone so I need some help I bought a Korean samsung galaxy s3 shv-210l
I have service with red pocket but I only get data on G no 3G i don't know how to get it to get 3G or to show the calling numbers and have a problem with texting too I don't know if my settings are incorrect or is there anything else I need to do I was thinking may be if I root the phone than I may have better luck but I have no clue how to do that either so if any body have some sugestions I will really appreciate it very much.
Hello friend,
I just like you found my self with the same issue. I bought my phone over ebay and I'm pretty sure they seller knew that the phone was defective. At any rate I've read 8 similar cases in the internet about our phone not being able to connect to 3G, I went overseas and it was even worse it wouldnt even register in the networks.
from what I understand its a defect, and you like I are unlucky enough to have it. If you can return your phone I would recommend you do it, as others here have no issues with theirs. If you do happen to find a solution pls post it here I will spread it around to those affected. I no longer have the handset lost it in a trip and bought a note 2.

Thanks alot in advance!!:angel::angel:
Hi guys, this is my first post to xda dev forums, but I hope the information here goes on to benefit anyone else that might be having this same problem.
I have a Sprint HTC One Max, and I refuse to pay for Sprint services at the current customer rate, or even slightly discounted rate while they are going through this merger/network restructure or whatever they're calling it now. I see my friends with T mobile and MetroPCS using their phones data with no issues, where as with Sprint, it switches between LTE and 3G so much that the data services wont work at all unless switching to 3g only which at these times the data is so slow, that it may as well not even work.
That said, why can't I take the phone that I just paid full retail for (no contract), and switch to a carrier that the phones hardware can support? They don't want to release the phones lock code, much less perform the sim unlock task without sending you to the international support group. I refuse to waste my time with these people and their workaround equipment (Airave), when I can just pay a smaller bill for semi-ok service somewhere else.
I have read over this topic front and back, and I'd like to think I know something about the differences with CDMA and GSM technologies, but this one has me stumped. I have successfully rooted the phone, but am unable to perform S-off task. Receive an error stating that rom has blocked attempts from firewater, or something of that nature... other instructions walk through renaming the HTCOMADM_SPCS.apk and HTCOMADM_SPCS.odex files, so that I could write new ones for the unlock attempt, but the root explorer (es file explorer) attempts to rename the file, but doesn't actually change the filename, and I'm unable to write the new files to copy them to the root directory., I've even gone as far as attempting a custom rom flash to the device, but that's not working either...
Understanding it wont flash a different rom, I dont know if it actually took the recovery firmware or not, or where to troubleshoot from here., and beg of someone for a little help. I know your time is of value, and would rather pay someone to help me do it myself, vs these "hole in the wall" unlocking places around here (da funk, TX). Yes, my phone has that much value to me, vs the metro PC's cheaply manufactured phones. I fully understand that this network isn't fully recommended for high end data users, but I'd rather get what I pay for, If most to all service providers in my area are that crappy anyways.
Can anyone help from here?

Hi there
I have attempted to contact verizon and as usual they are wan*ers...
I was listening to the radio and they advertized this site "freeradioonmyphone dot org" and as I am now living in the US I remember all my other cheaper smart phones from NZ had the FM chip enabled.
Because in the US there is an emergency broadcast system that goes over the air on the FM frequency I would never hear this if I am constantly having to keep data on etc...
is there a way I can do this on my mobile? I haven't rooted my mob before whether it be this one on for eg my samsung 550 or LG mobile I had but have alwasy wanted to but again not sure which rom would be a good stable starting point.
Please any help would be appreciated, my wife and I and step daughter all have the same mob and I want to get this feature unlocked but again verizon are dicks, they say it can't be done and wont let you talk to anyone high up than the CSR but sprint mob don't lock this down.
thanks again.

Sent from my Nexus 5
Hi,
I have an unlocked T-Mobile Galaxy S5 which I purchased in USA. After back to India and started using India SIM, often I get signal problems and only in streets or public area I get full signals. In office or home it says "No service" or "Searching". When I read articles and forums, I came to know that certain frequencies might be locked and I need to enable it. But I am not a developer or techie guy to root my device and perform it. Is there any alternative way to solve this issue? I am trying to resolve this but could not. I tried getting my phone to a authorized service centers. But they are about to charge huge money to check and fix it.
Appreciate anybody's help.
Regards,
Muthu
