[Completed] [Q] 99 problems...all lg sunrise - XDA Assist

Hey guys. First off I wanna say you guys do a helluva job here. This is where I come to research any Android related problem I have and I usually find the answer. So I bought a phone at Walmart called LGL15G LG Sunrise from straight talk. I got it home and tried to do some research on it and couldn't find a thing anywhere about it. I actually had a few questions. Instead of coming home and buying a prepaid plan I didn't do anything to it does that mean its locked or unlocked? Do I need an IMEI unlock or a network unlock? I want it unlocked so I can go through somebody besides straight talk and I can't find a way to check to see if its locked or unlocked right now. Also I decided I was going to root it Over wifi which I was successful at using the newest version of Kingroot, the only one click root that did work the only 1 click root I did work. Since my phone is rooted now is there any way to get around the locker? Is there an app I could get or am I gonna have to pay for the codes? I know you guys are borderline genius is that's why I came here instead of trolling the internet for answers for another 4 hours I hope you guys can help thank you for your time

[Completed] Need Help Rooting, Reward Offered

Hey guys, I recently bought a Verison Galaxy S5 (SM-G900V) and im not any sort of expert at rooting. I rooted my last device with Geo's Towelroot but my device isnt supported now. If anyone could walk me through the steps of getting this S5 rooted ill be more than happy to pay you a small fee for the help. I would really like to get this thing rooted today so I can get rid of all of this bloatware. Ill pay through Paypal or however you would prefer within reason. Ill need someone to pretty much walk me through this step by step using skype or some other way of communicating. Phone call would work aswell. Id greatly appreciate some help with this. I will be monotoring this thread until I get someone to help. Thanks for your time mates
Hi,
I suggest you read as much of this thread on the subject as you can. Specifically the opening post perhaps and the last several pages to read the latest discussion on this,
> Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 5 > Verizon Galaxy S 5 General > Status on Root/Custom Recovery/Bootloader
You can join that discussion as well.
Any more questions on this device can go in your devices Q&A section, here...
> Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 5 > Verizon Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
There's many other threads in that section asking about root methods, you should have a look.
And please, don't offer money for help on XDA. That's not what this site is about. It won't get you quicker, better or easier help.... It will likely just get your post flamed. ?
Good luck!

Hey, thanks man. My offer still stands though. Thumbed through that thread and as of right now im not sure it can be rooted or what and i hate searching and searching through forums to find stuff, so if anyone has a 100% sure way of rooting my device and can walk me through it, there is a reward^^
You can ask in the section I linked last.
And you can offer a reward, but that's not what XDA is about, and some may pass you by based on the very notion. Just some friendly advise.
Thank you, thread closed.

Hi,
This seems to be the best place to ask about your device,
> General discussion > Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking > [GUIDE] [ROOT]NTT Docomo Fujitsu Arrows X F-02E Root
If that doesn't help you, you can ask here,
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!

You guys dont make it easy where to ask or post things. maybe simplify the site better as im not the only person who gets told or trolled for posting in the so called wrong spots.
but thanks for the advice

You did the right thing. You posted here in Assist, we pointed you in the right direction. That's exactly why XDA Assist was created.
Yes, There's hundreds of devices on XDA and Non device specific sections, so XDA Assist was made to help people get to where they need to go.
Working pretty well I'd say. ?
Thank you. Thread closed.

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. A quick search enabled me to find this thread
[INDEX][FAQ][Q&A][ALL-IN-ONE][ATT][SM-G900A][Jul.01.2014]
Look specifically at question 6 and I think you'll find what you're looking for.
For future reference you can find your specific device forum here:
AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5
Bookmark that page and make sure you subscribe to that form, that way it'll be easier to find later. Within that form you'll find a dedicated q&a section here:
AT&T Galaxy S5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
When you have a problem or question that's the best place to ask, just make sure you search before creating a new thread because anything you could want to ask has almost definitely been asked and answered before right there.
Good luck with your phone!

[Completed] [Q] HTC Desire 826 Root & Lillipop ROM

Hello!
This is my first post and I'm a total noob so please bear with me
I need advice on how to root my HTC Desire 826 safely. My friend purchased it for me from China and it came with a whole bunch of stock Bidu apps and bloatware (in Chinese). I just want to root the phone safely and install a ROM that somewhat resembles Android Lollipop.
I came across this website: (system says i can't post any websites, please google "how to root htc desire 826 tutorial"). It looked legit, and I thought this was too good to be true! And then I read some of the comments from the users and it seemed really fishy... None of them had proper English grammar, which is not a big deal, but they had names like Gary Matthews, Pete Boyle, and James McAllister...
Then, I've also read somewhere that some people might want you to install their custom ROM because they've encoded some spyware which could steal your information, and then I got really paranoid.
What should I do? I don't want to brick my phone, and I certainly don't want my security compromised. Your help is appreciated!
Thanks,
Thanks for investigating Bryanrd05! It looks like it might be a long wait

I made some investigation and it seems like there is not a confirmed working root process (or at least not by some XDA member) for your phone yet. It's have been launched recently and only in Asia markets so it might take a while. Just be pacient. About the site you tell, you can actually try, it uses Framaroot (a recognized root procedure for other devices) but i do not recommend it at all, at least until someone else with more knowledge to fix their phone in case of some damage tries it.

Welcome to XDA Developers.
First, please register as a user, here > http://forum.xda-developers.com/register.php
After you have registered, you can post questions on the forum and respond to questions from other users.
If you are running Lollipop, there is no work around. It's a new, anti-theft security feature from Google.
While there is no specific forum for your LG Tribute (sorry about that), you can go to the following forum and post your question, maybe one of our experts can help you > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2257421
Good luck.
