[Completed] My phone is messed up - XDA Assist

Hi there,
I decided to install some ROM yesterday night because mine wasn't working very well.
Anyways, I placed the .rar file on my external SD root folder, then did the up+down+power button thing. The installation turned out to be successful, but by the time I rebooted my phone it got stuck on HUAWEI logo.
With that being said, I don't know what to do anymore. I ONLY can access to the TWRP recovery mode.
Thank you guys in advance.
Actually, I'll give you a solution that a "forummate" found out a year ago.
- Restored original B510 recovery (flash recovery.img and boot.img from the original B510 rom, it's inside the TWRP thread...)
- Added the B132 update to my external SD card. (Create a folder /dload/ and add the UPDATE.APP file to it)
- Started the phone in recovery mode by by pressing volume up + volume down + power
- Updated to B510 again via update.zip in the /dload/ folder
But I'm totally clueless about the first step.

[Q] Boot Loop After Flash

When I got my G tablet yesterday and rooted/flashed to 2.2 Lite, I did it using my G1's SD, but since then I backed up my SD to what I had it on my G1. My question is, can the G tablet naturally boot from an SD card(micro) as long as its named update.zip? I mean so I can do the flash again or is it perma bricked? If it is perma bricked, should I return it to store and start all over with a dedicated SD card?
Thanks!

Necro,
This tablet is 99% unbrickable (I would say 100% because I haven't head of one bricked yet but nothing is impossible). you just need to boot into APX mode and reflash stock firmware
how to get into APX mode can be found here
http://wiki.tegratab.com/index.php/Nvflash_FAQ
you are going to need to download the complete NVflash restore file
which can be found here: http://forum.tegratab.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=18

The download link for the SDK is broken or old. Is there another place I can download it. Stupid google keeps bringing me the PDFs for Nvidia. Nevermind about the SDK, found it on their site. What about the original ROM/IMG? That link is also broken.
Is there a better guide. I'm getting a headache from all the files the SDK dumped onto my computer. Can someone show me a noob proof version of how to do this?
I only undertand the APX mode on the G Tablet. Other than that I cannot get windows to recognize the device even after installing the SDK. Where are the drivers for the APX?
There are instructions on the main post for TNT-Lite for what to do if you get into the boot loop. I ended up having to get to the step where I repartitioned the internal flash and re imaged.
You can avoid the SDK and driver issues and only use the computer to put some files on the SD card:
Easiest way to fix for me was (I had same issue problem with 2.0):
1. Download "Clockwork .8" (links at XDA)
2. Unzip the recovery file and update.zip to root of a micro sd
3. Change the recovery folder's command file to "microsd2" & save it
4. Put the card in the Gtablet
6. Interrupt the boot loop by pressing power and volume up at same time
7. Clockwork should install
8. Power down and restart the G tablet
9. Download TnT Lite 2.20
10. Repeat 2 and 3, but this time extract the update.zip file from TnT 2.20 and copy over the update.zip already in the root directory. YOU WILL NOT NEED A RECOVERY FILE FOR THIS METHOD.
11. Delete the recovery file in the root directory
12. Power down
13. Restart by pressing power and volume up
14. Should be in Clockwork
15. You want to clear both cache and data (two options on main screen)
16. After clearing both, choose install update.zip.
17. The next screen will show the update.zip. Go to its row and choose it by pressing home button
You should auto reboot and be set. You can then install the Folio Flash apk and install Titanium so you can do the market fix.
This is process is what saved me, at least.

Did not work... I might go and return it tomorrow. I even tried flashing to original firmware and nothing.
I got stuck in an unrecoverable boot loop as well. I tried to install TNT Lite 2.2, got a boot loop.
Tried to install TNT Lite 2.2, 2.2.1, 2.3 from microsd (yes changed the line to SDCARD2), always got the giant exclamation mark.
Tried to install the vanilla restore and stock TNT from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9439414&postcount=7 still exclamation mark.
Tried to install Clockwork Mod, still exclamation mark.
EDIT: Finally got out of my bootloop by flashing the ViewSonic G-Tablet Restore file from DroidPirate

Its the only one that worked.

Hey,
I would not create a new thread if I not tried everything that is posted in the Honor 6 forum. Nothing worked.
I tried to unbrick over multi tool and I tried to do the steps above. No luck.
If someone can help me that would be nice.
Daranto
Which version do you have ? H60- .. ?
H60-L04
1- Download the multi-tool & Huawei update extractor
2- Download the B370 & B309 Downgrade packet from http://www.hihonor.com/fr/pages/support#?view=downloads
3- Open Huawei update extractor and extract BOOT& CUST & RECOVERY & SYSTEM and copy them to the Folder 'Unbrick' in the multi-tool folder
4- Open the multi-tool and and go to the fastboot in your phone , then follow the steps in multi-tool for the unbrick (-6 Unbrick)
5-When its done , dont turn off the phone download BOOT & RECOVERY from this link LINK (hxxps://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzujZI5OEVIRWWxyLXNjRGNWb3c/view?usp=sharing
replace xx with tt)
6- Extract the files in a folder then Shift + right click and open cmd in the folder then Type ' fastboot flash boot boot.img' after that type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
7- Turn off the phone and PUT B309 UPDATE.APP in dload folder in SD CARD
8- BOOT device with 3buttons UNPLUGGED from USB and SD card UNMOUNTED , When you get installation screen MOUNT SD card As Far As Possible (sometimes it takes 3 or 4 tries to access the setup via the 3 buttons so be patient)
9- PUT B370 UPDATE.APP (Extract it again , the 1st one will be missing some data) dload folder in SD CARD and BOOT device with 3buttons UNPLUGGED from USB and SD card UNMOUNTED When you get installation screen MOUNT SD card As Far As Possible (sometimes it takes 3 or 4 tries to access the setup via the 3 buttons so be patient) (AGAIN)
and im sure that it works

[GUIDE][NOUGAT]How to go back from Custom Rom to EMUI

Here's a guide for how to go back from a Custom Rom (fe. RROS) back to EMUI. I went through the same process successfully.
IMPORTANT: This is ONLY for Nougat!! You can neither rollback from Project Treble Rom using this guide nor from any other Oreo Rom in the future.
1. Download the file for your device from the following thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/firmware-huawei-honor-9-stf-l09-stock-t3696892 and unpack the rar file.
2. You'll get a dload folder. Copy the entire folder to the root of your SD card.
3. Power off your phone and boot it into dload (Volume down + Volume up + Power)
4. After it finished installing this first file, interrupt the startup and boot into recovery (hold Volume up + Power until it forcibly reboots).
5. Do a factory reset and wipe cache.
6. Remove the SD card from the phone and do the following steps on your PC (you can let the phone sit in Recovery while doing that):
6a. Go into /dload/ folder of the SD card and remove update.app.
6b. Go into the other folder in /dload/ and move its .app file into /dload/
6c. Rename this .app file into update.app
6d. Eject the SD card from your PC and insert it in your phone again.
7. Hold Volume down and Volume up while tapping Reboot.
8. It should start the second installation in dload mode, let it install, reboot and you're done

Download Firmware Finder for Huawei:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teammt.gmanrainy.huaweifirmwarefinder
You should be able to get the files of any firmware. Probably you're even able to go back from an Oreo custom rom to EMUI 8 but I haven't tested that. However I don't recommend installing firmware files from a different Android version than the one of your current custom rom.
Edit: First file to install is the firmware, second is vendor (Nougat).
Doing it on Oreo, second step might not be necessary since it's Project Treble.
Also, as I said, I'm NOT sure if this works exactly in that way on Oreo.

One more question: the oldest version I can get using this firmware finder app is B160. In the thread you linked, B130 was mentioned. Does it make any difference when im on RROS 5.8.5 currently and want to go back?
Edit: I was searching firmwares for STF-L09S and not STF-L09 but I still wonder if it makes any difference which version I use for the dload method as long as its Nougat

It most likely won't make a difference which Nougat version you install. The only thing is that there are several versions where capacitive buttons and flashlight breaks when unlocking the bootloader or/and rooting it. Same with Oreo firmwares but for Oreo there is a fix.
And about the S version, I'm sorry I don't know the difference myself. :/ I actually just made this guide because I wanted to help others with my way of going back to Stock as I didn't find any guides specifically on that when I did it myself.

Try booting to erecocery and see if it is able to download the firmware and reboot. If not, you can try debranding but if dload doesn't work there then tou will get stuck

SOLVED i unbricked my GR5 2017 BLL-L21
SOLVED
I finally managed to unbrick my GR5 2017 (Honor 6x) BLL-L21 after i lost all hope
After countless attempts to unbrick the phone i managed to go back full stock with EMUI,
All i had to do is:
> Get a GOOD sd card 8gb at least, mine was SanDisk
> Full wipe/data format in twrp
> Turn off the phone
> Now go back to your pc and unzip the update.zip file that you downloaded (make sure to download the correct file depending on your model number)
> Create dload folder in the update folder
> Put UPDATE.APP file in dload folder
> Format sd card using exFAT
> Copy dload folder to the sd card
> Put sd card inside the phone and press volume up + volume down + power at the same time
> Wait until u see Huawei/ Honor logo and release all buttons
> Now the phone will detect the package and start updating
> After update is successful the phone will reboot
Here it gets a bit tricky for me, after reboot i had this message "your phone has failed verification and may not work properly", so this is what i did:
> Shut down phone and remove sd card
> Go back to your computer and unzip this file "update_full_BLL-L21_hw_meafnaf.zip" (make sure to download the correct file for your model)
> Now create a folder and rename it "dload" and move the UPDATE.APP file from the update_full_BLL-L21_hw_meafnaf inside the dload folder
> Format sd card using exFAT
> Copy dload folder to the sd card
> Put sd card inside phone and press volume up + volume down + power at the same time
> Wait until u see Huawei/ Honor logo and release all buttons
> Now the phone will detect the package and start updating
> After update is successful the phone will reboot

> setup your phone and enjoy

Honor 6x Hard Bricked

While trying to flash a GSI (AICP) on my Honor 6x, I accidentally wiped system and recovery 2 partition.
I was able to boot to fastboot, and somehow to TWRP. So I took the Nougat firmware, put it in Huawei Firmware Extraction utility, and there was an option to create a flashable zip.
I took this zip and flashed on the phone. This was FullOTA Update.APP that I had flashed from TWRP, and ever since, the phone is not turning on. Nope, Fastboot is also not working, neither is screen turning on.
I brought a one plus 6 for myself, as permanent driver, but I miss the Honor 6x.
I wanted to check if there is someone here who could tell me a way to fix this mess.
Looks like you posted in the wrong section. Anyways, download the Full OTA package, and try flashing it with DLOAD method:
1. Extract the Full OTA package
2. Copy the content (all files in the folder where the UPDATE.APP file is located) of the extracted zip in the "dload" folder on your phone's sd card
3. Put your SD Card back in the phone and hold volume up, volume down and power buttons all together.
4. Your phone will start and reboot once, keep the buttons down.
5. Firmware flashing will start: now you can stop pressing the buttons.
Let me know if this works!
