Hi, long story short, i need to unlock my phone which is an Lg Flex from Tmobile, i have the code already, i know how to open up the menu to do the sim unlock, but problem is phone is cracked and there's about an inch right in the center of the screen where the touch is completely dead.
And the box where i must input the code to unlock it is located EXACTLY where the dead spot is so i just cant make the keyboard pop up to input the code and unlock the damn phone.
Is there any app or 3rd party keyboard that is on screen permanently? that way i could just enter the unlock menu and type the code.
My only thoughts are using an external mouse but i dont know how to do it and i guess i would need root.
any help appreciated

Ugh... I'm having no end to issues trying to get the right unlock setup that I need.
I'm using the default lock program because I need something that prevents powering down when the end key is long pressed. But now it's unlocking whenever I open the keyboard. This is a problem because the keyboard often get bumped a bit when I take it out the case.
Anyone know how to make it so it doesn't unlock when I open the keyboard.
After a lot of searching and a bit of luck I found the solution... It wasn't that the keyboard was opening, but rather that the Magnets of my belt holster were moving against the sensors enough to simulate a keyboard open, which was unlocking the phone. Either way it was still a problem, but the solution was to make a small change in the registry to not unlock on a keyboard open.
If anyone else is experiencing the same problem you may want to follow that line of thinking.

Couldn't one simply put a pattern or PIN lock on the device?
So I have the LockBot Pro on my HTC Hero and was loving it over the last few weeks as I have start customizing my phone (Non-Root.) I have been using the option to swipe and then enter a 4 character numerical code to unlock the phone.
Today I happen to notice that when I bring up the lock screen where you either have to swipe and/or enter the code, instead of doing either, if I just hit the call button, it bypasses it all, therefore making the purpose of the lock screen pointless. I wanted the lock screen with the numerical pin code for security purposes, and hitting the call button to bypass is not acceptable to me.
Do I maybe have an option set incorrectly that is allowing this to occur or is this a bug in the program?
Can anyone recommend me a good, sorry, a great Lock Screen APP (Preferably) one where you can set some kind of code you must enter to unlock the phone?
Thank you,
Whiteice
i have an htc fuze.. i lock the keyboard and have to slide to unlock.. i dropped the phone and the touch screen doesnt work anymore.. so now keyboard is locked and i cant slide the unlock thing on the screen to get to phone.. is there a way to unlock the keyboard without using touchscreen so i can use phone?

Get ceregeditor, connect to a pc and run it. Change the 'enabled' value for hklm/software/microsoft/shell/lockscreen from 1 to 0 and soft reset. I think that's the reg key you want.
You can also use MyMobiler.
It's a program that allows you to control your phone from your computer. Should still be freeware..
So i got a new ROM flashed it correctly.

About the CHT lockscreen:
The CHT lock screen does not support any PIN code or password protected unlocking.
Remove any unlock codes before turning on the CHT lockscreen or you will be permanently locked out of your device and you'll have to do a hard reset.
If you are using a gsensor app to automatically rotate the screen and you have it to always rotate, you should add the class "CHTLockscreen" to the exception list.
If you don't have the rotation app set rotate everything, but only a list of desired programs, then you don't have anything to worry about.
If you need to lock the CHT lockscreen externally, you can do it with this: "\Windows\CHT_Helper.exe -lock"

Thanks for replying dandana

I still use the standard ROM with HTC Sense. The only thing that annoys me, is that I have to unlock the screen by dragging the ring into the middle of the screen.
Is it possible to unlock the screen by pressing some key?
Cyanogenmod for example offered to unlock the screen by pressing the menu key - this was so much better.
No possibility?
I tried to install 3rd party software like "Locker Master", but all of them seem to be 90° rotated.
I am searching for the same thing, there sud be some way to unlock phone and open menu from keypad instead from touch screen, isn't there any custom roms available we can use for this ???
