thanks for help
Get ceregeditor, connect to a pc and run it. Change the 'enabled' value for hklm/software/microsoft/shell/lockscreen from 1 to 0 and soft reset. I think that's the reg key you want.
You can also use MyMobiler.
It's a program that allows you to control your phone from your computer. Should still be freeware..

I am wondering if there is a way to lock the phone automatically and unlock without a pin but a different unlock key( the default is "*")
What type of smartphone do you have? On the T-Mobile Shadow, there is an option for a manual lock that turns on everytime you slide the phone down.
I am on HtC Vox S710. I wonder mortscript will do what I wanted?
So i got a new ROM flashed it correctly.

About the CHT lockscreen:
The CHT lock screen does not support any PIN code or password protected unlocking.
Remove any unlock codes before turning on the CHT lockscreen or you will be permanently locked out of your device and you'll have to do a hard reset.
If you are using a gsensor app to automatically rotate the screen and you have it to always rotate, you should add the class "CHTLockscreen" to the exception list.
If you don't have the rotation app set rotate everything, but only a list of desired programs, then you don't have anything to worry about.
If you need to lock the CHT lockscreen externally, you can do it with this: "\Windows\CHT_Helper.exe -lock"

Hello! Long time user, but noob on a windows 7 phone, It has some problems.... when you type on the on screen keyboard, you cant type a message properly, its like there is bad calibration issues, but when you try to ring a number, all the numbers work okay, is there a way to calibrate the screen? also calculator works okay, also some options you cant click on say for instance, the logging into windows marketplace, you cant enter your email address but can enter password??? WTF HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
Your primary Windows Live ID (the one used for Marketplace) is set and locked when the phone is first run. If you messed up then, you'll need to hard-reset the phone and start again. Actually, you may want to do that anyhow.
I don't know any user-accessible way to calibrate the touch screen on an HTC phone. It shouldn't need it, though. Note that the on-screen keyboard does have some tricky predictive stuff that means it may occasinally think you ment to hit a key next to the one you tapped. You can turn this off in Settings. However, it should never hit more than about half a finger-width from what you actually tapped, and I very rarely see that much. Tapping squarely on a specific key should always work. You can also make the keys larger (most of the time) by putting the phone in landscape (rotate it).
I still use the standard ROM with HTC Sense. The only thing that annoys me, is that I have to unlock the screen by dragging the ring into the middle of the screen.
Is it possible to unlock the screen by pressing some key?
Cyanogenmod for example offered to unlock the screen by pressing the menu key - this was so much better.
No possibility?
I tried to install 3rd party software like "Locker Master", but all of them seem to be 90° rotated.
I am searching for the same thing, there sud be some way to unlock phone and open menu from keypad instead from touch screen, isn't there any custom roms available we can use for this ???
Hi, long story short, i need to unlock my phone which is an Lg Flex from Tmobile, i have the code already, i know how to open up the menu to do the sim unlock, but problem is phone is cracked and there's about an inch right in the center of the screen where the touch is completely dead.
And the box where i must input the code to unlock it is located EXACTLY where the dead spot is so i just cant make the keyboard pop up to input the code and unlock the damn phone.
Is there any app or 3rd party keyboard that is on screen permanently? that way i could just enter the unlock menu and type the code.
My only thoughts are using an external mouse but i dont know how to do it and i guess i would need root.
any help appreciated
