Hi i hope someone can help. My phone has been working fine for 2 weeks, and today it just cut off the network. There is no network problems in my area and I've tried another sim card the problem is it says emergency calls only and won't connect to a network it just says try again later with multiple sims. However with one sim the Internet works but the cell won't make a call or text? Please advise also non rooted g920f

me too its happened to me on 18-July-2015 and my
- non rooted g920f
- IMEI changed to 350000000000004
- simcards not working ( not registered on network )
- i have signal bars without simcard !
- and when i reainstalled rom i found updates about 66mb i dont know because of updates or e have big prob here
any solution plz
Maybe a defective SIM card.
Perhaps a temporary network fault.
Your IMEI is corrupted then you are cut off the network!
If you have EFS (IMEI) partition backup try to restore it , for example by this app and you are done!
If you don't have backup of EFS partition you need to send phone to samusng service. (only samsung can't restore your original IMEI number)

My Samsung s6 sometimes picks up my carrier but when i make a call it goes to emergency calls only ? i am sometimes able to send a text but again it says emergency calls only after the text sends. I have tried many other sim cards and the same problem, I have also checked my IMEI and its fine.

i tested many modem but not worked, do you have another solution??
Is it giving a message when you remove your SIM card from running S6 ? asking for reboot or something like that I can't remember correctly ? If it's not giving the message seems like something wrong with your SIM bay ?

Yep, a borked imei number will not allow you to connect to your cellular network...
I'm guessing that your efs folder wasn't backed up... you can try this...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881162

i had this problem last night where i flashed a rom. i return it to stock and imei showed up.
was having a imei" unknown error" and i backed up now on my computer.
ps ebay sales unlock service for 0.99$ if you didn't buy the code and just hacked it with hex or whatever
mine is already unlocked and it's permanent

But i returned mine to stock many times but the imei number still like this.

The last zero 0 was until now FOR Demo phones. If samsung has not change the rule with note edge i think you bought an Demo phone.... For that to work you need to replace the mainboard and to buy antenna cable)
Hope I'm wrong....

As you wrote - signal lost after update "nv item" - do you remember what you change? back to previous version should help
did you make back up of changed datas?
did you try factory reset?
try other simcard - maybe simcard died?
Hello guyz i have a sm-g920f galaxy s6 just bought 3 days ago second hand its been great i flashed the russian update from sammobile and flashed the custom kernel to root it i used it till today when i plugged it in my pc to transfer a movie and removed it suddenly it tells me "Sim card inserted.Restart" I restarted but it kept saying no sim card
now i tried different sim cards from different operators but still nothing flashed so many other firmwares and still nothing so guyz plzz help me if theres any solution to this problem i dont understand it if it is software or hardware :crying::crying:

could possible be a blocked IMEI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reflash stock 5.1.1 ROM via odin to solve your problem.
I already did that and nothing it just keep saying No sim card

try checking csc via phone info.
Any fix to this?? I've just gotten the same problem on mine! Thought it might have reverted back to the region lock as I am now using a USA sim card and started off with a UK sim card. Just ordered a new UK Sim to see if inserting that one will fix the issue

I had this issue with my first Galaxy S6... I went into the three shop and checked my sim and that worked with another phone, but my phone would not accept any other SIM card. I was told to send to Samsung for repair, luckily I was in my 30 day amazon exchange period so I just sent back to supplier and bought a new one.
Same poblem here.. When i insert sim card, the phone restart and when enter in Android show message... "Error occurred while unlocking network... Network unlock code block".... Its a Japan Docomo network.. U think that can resolve it with a subsidy code? To unlock a sim?

This is what did the problem this sim problem appears days after doing this
1 flashing other rom model on different model like XEF on BTU...
2 updating android OTA failed
3 flashing with smart switch
Its not stolen its the g920f is the problem its sucks dude
If you dont have backup for efs folder and radio folder you need to fix it with octoplus box if you have warranty take it to samsung or if not visite repair place and ask for octoplus compatible with s6 but

1 Working sim
2 signal drops time to time mybe disconnected during calls am sure you get disconnected because i have
3 flashing stock you get stuck in bootloops
And if some one ask you about s6 the answer is dont say s6 its s sucks

I have the same problem, although for me it wasnt that I flashed a new rom, just woke up and my phone wouldn't connect to the network. I have done an IMEI check as I bought the phone second hand and it came back clean

hello guys I need help I have s8+ exynos sg955fd rooted and I ws using custom rom on it . its a dual sim ver day before yestd I was trying with Verizon sim to work on it and now my phone is not able to make any calls , I have tmobile sim as I dial it just goes back to dail screen .
I do see I have service signal and its registered to network but not able to make calls , plzz help thanks.

I tried tht i flashed stock rom still no luck , it looks like its not registering the sim to network , i did goto mbile network and selected manualy the network but still no go, i really dont which file got messed up with 2 sims inside .
Check under status, does it show your IMEI or does it say unknown
