i wiped cache a loooooooot and still the same crapware
yea i didn't think wiping the cache would've helped.... but for some reason it did.. makes no sense to me either
have you done a factory reset? or install a CPU usage meter and track down which app is using up your CPU cycles

Make sure to wipe dalvik cache and battery stats too.
If that doesn't work. Make sure to check your MD5 sums and do a fresh install.

Sent from my ThunderBolt using XDA Premium App
wipe dalvik, cache/system, factory reset, format /system, wipe battery
i use that latest 6275 radio
the initial bootup where it keeps showing the droid pop up will do that for awhile. i was starting to think "god why!!!... whats wrong?!" and then it loaded.
Try a0sp 1.1.1
i went to 1.1 and same problem. i went to run quadrent and it locks every time. ill try 1.1.1, im guessing he fixed the market problem
Hmm interesting, did you once you installed it (after wiping) let it sit for 10 min before rebooting it?
while still in clockwork recovery, wait 10 min? im not kne to rooting just the whole rom/kernel part.

Nope in clockwork wipe, do a factory reset, wipe cache, then do dalvik and system too.
After that, flash your ROM and reboot once complete. While it is rebooting go find something to do. Basically, leave it alone for a few minutes (2-5 is usually sufficient). That allows the kernel/rom to settle.
For extra credit, before wiping, go ahead and use something like titanium backup to backup your apps. The you can restore your apps (not the system data though). Thats how I usually do it.

Don't forget to format the system also. That could be your issue. Go to clockwordmod/mounts and storage/format/system
Hi Everyone,
So recently YouTube updated to version 2.4.4, and apparently, videos launch with considerable lag that locks up the device. I've tried every rom with every kernel and they all behave the same. Maybe Titanium Backup? But it worked before...
1. Anybody else getting this?
2. Any solutions?
Wait I just installed RolleTube (version 2.1.6) and it still lags. Now I'm seriously wondering what's wrong.
something is wrong on a system level. try a fix permissions in cwm

Well, the even weirder thing is that when I just install a ROM, TiBu, and run youtube, there's no lags. Then when I reboot (because of battery or something), the lag reappears. Fix Permissions seems to be locking up in the middle of the process, and I have to hard shutoff to get the device back working. Funny thing is that youtube worked fine like a month ago...

Did that already... Even wiped my internal 16gb. Darkside wipe, fix permission, etc. etc. didn't work - still there.
Also: it seems Go Launcher also has some problems with YouTube's lag... the widget on Go Launcher lags to launch the video on the widget, while twlauncher doesn't have that (as much). Still has crazy device-locking lags though.
EDIT: Oh wow... it seems when I connect my phone to my PC it shows up as a corrupted disk... Windows is asking me if I want to fix the disk. Would that be the problem? And if it is, can I let Windows fix the disk?
I don't think I would let windows do that. It says corrupted or needs formatted?

Ok. Boot into odin and reflash cwm 5.0.2.6. Boot into cwm and format system, then data, the cache and dalvik cache. Repeat 3x. Flash stock through odin. Reboot, twice. Now reflash cwm and then flaah a rom and configure. I don't care what your problem is, that method is a guarantee fix lol

I did this, and I still had lag after restoring TiBu. Lol the look on my face when it happened
But turns out, the TiBu backup of Go Launcher was actually screwing many apps up (including YouTube)... dunno if it was a system issue, but it was the problem. Transitioned to ADW after a full wipe again (without ever launching go launcher) and all was good. Thanks guys.

Don't restore stuff across roms with TiBu. I only use it as a reference of the apps I had. So I always have a clean slate

glad u got it sorted. And while I agree with xcrazydx thay starting clean is best, I have too many apps and not enough time, so thag metgod is impractical. I've never had this ssort of problem though to be honest
Hello my name is Alex and I am from Germany, Bavaria.
I'm new here and would like to apologize for my bad english at the beginning.
Since 2 weeks I'm the proud owner of an LG G2x P999 smartphones.
I've flashed directly with the Hellfire Sandwich v1.9 ROM.
That also works without problems by the good instructions.
Now I have the problem that the battery indicator is always set to 100% and does not change anymore.
Can someone help me here?
Thanks in advance.

Your English is fine and did u wipe ur data factory reset, clear cache partition, and clear dalvik partition because I know not clearing it can cause problems. If not try that and see what happens. Also how long has it been at 100% are you using it a lot too?

Thanks for the quick reply.
Here the order of my wipes:
1) data and factory reset
2) wipe cache
3) wipe dalvik cache
4) wipe battery statistic
The battery charge level indicator shows always 100% until the phone turns of because an empty battery.
If i charged the phone to 100%, i have the same problem as before.
Always having 100% Battery sounds like a good thing to me!!
What version of clockworkmod (how did you flash it), are you running and are you flashing any custom Kernels?
Based on my reading... Dalvik cache is like prefetch files on windows... correct?
I was just wondering, if i have been playing around with, but not keeping, quite a few apps, is it a good idea to clear this out? Will it wipe any important data?? Im on 4.0.4, samsung stock but rooted rom (this one : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1994902 pure stock version)
Ive been having issues with apps freezing up my phone that used to have no issue at all, and im just hoping maybe i can help things along.

it's good to wipe it form time to time
don't worry ...if you wiped the cache and dalvick cache nothing will happen and you will not lose any data
