Hi Micromites ,
After a lot of challenges i finally an testing the new build avatar rom for this amazing device..
As of now this is based on stock Android 4.4.2 version which is highly customized to look alike lollipop and multiple ram management and performance tweaks which makes this room buttery smooth.
This is based off philz touch recovery and some additional tweaks from xposed framework.
Will be sharing the link and await your feedback soon!! Stay tuned..
Now working on porting lollipop rom to our device and so far looks good..

Developers better know what to include and what not..I can't suggest on that but only thing i can say is that the ROM should be better on performance and battery....
And plz include one thing if u can OTA(over the air) and provide long term support
I advice just go through Lewa ROM by @mufti.arfan once and u will find ur answers....:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

If u are working for 4.2 ROM then u require to port kernel From 4.2 ROM from other device.
U can try by changing API level i.e.
One way is by compiling it from cm10.1 ROM . Other way is to try porting ROMs from canvas HD.
For 4.2 based rom , kernel modifications are required . This is possible when we have kernel source codes available for MTK6577 chipset by MMX.

use 4.2 based rom if u want latest on your phone..
i am using micromax mega rom + 4cly turbo script with my own theme...

I am amazed to see that there is NOTE III ROM for Xolo Q800. Can it be possible to port the same for our A110. I know xolo Q800 in not famous in XDA but outside there are lot of ROMS without bugs. Ans always my thanks and salute to the Devs for making our phone so smart.

It is not working @AlphaDroid . Could you see whats the problem and modify it for A116 ? Is it MTK compatibility. The other icon packs which anand_mmx had posted is also not working in A116 CHD. It is not working in A117 as well. Pls help dude

Put the zip he gives and place it in the sd card
power off your phone
Then to go into recovery press and hold Volume + and power buttons together till you get into recovery
Then select apply update from sd card option
SElect the zip
then you are done
then select reboot system

How to backup my existing rom without rooting it. I have micromax canvas hd a116
I am afraid that if my android get bricked anyhow by rooting then what will i do. There is no customer care of micromax near my city.

Now there are 2 ways of making a Nandroid backup(rom backup)
You can use a app called Online Nandroid on plays store (requires root)
Or through a custom recovery like twrp or cwm here is a guide to flash custom recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2179097

No my friend
I didn't root my phone till now coz i am not fully sure whether my phone will root safely or not because if it get bricked anyhow then i don't have any other mode for internet.
So i am viewing for full info of rooting my phone. Rooting is not my first opinion but it is my need because i have to do battery caliberation. Thanx a lot

The issue I am
having is when I receive or send a call, my connection seems to pause. This also causes web pages to not load and the 3G or E icon
goes away from the Status bar at the top of the screen.
Does anyone know of a way for me to have the data connection continue when a cell call comes in?

Your device is canvas HD right then framaroot does work for you Use the Boromir, Faramir and Barahir exploits only
If that doesnt work then Option 2
Have you flashed a custom recovery If yes then flash this through it http://download.chainfire.eu/324/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.30.zip?retrieve_file=1

Ya i am very very very very thankful to you. I rooted my phone and also cwm recovery.And i can't believe that the whole process took only 2-3 minutes. i mean i can't believe this.
Any way again thanx.
But my main problem for which i rooted my phone isnot solved till now. The problem is sudden battery drop. My battery directly goes 100 to 14 when reboot after full charge. i used battery caliberation app too. But it didn't help. Now i am feeling irritating because of all these i have to charge my phone 4-5 times a day.
Please help me.
