Hi, im using an Iphone 6 Clones (the brand name is HDC) which has MTK6582 chipset on it.
exciting about rom porting, i found a link of Goophone official kitkat ROM, firstly, i thought that it has very similar hardware,
I've managed to flash it using SP Flash Tools. it can boot up, however the touch screen gone mad, it seems it has different calibration. However, after felt that the ROM was unusable, I've managed to revert back to my Stock ROM, however, the touchscreen problem remains the same.
Im thinking, i was accidentally flashed my touchscreen's driver or something.
does anyone here ever faced the same problem?
PS: i've found some possible answer here, but i couldn't pull my script.bin from my device, because the script can't found any script.bin on my device
sites.google.com/site/fixedandoidtouchscreen/how-to-fix
I have a similar problem on an Alcatel device, Pop D3. I haven't found a solution but i will try yours and see. Is your phone stock ROM kitkat? It may be a problem with sp flash tools.
Hi, sir,
My stock ROM is on 4.2 but, the ROM which i've tried is 4.4.. I have managed to downgrade it to the original ones, but it remains the same..

The pull script.bin program doesn't work for me either. Idk what is the problem. I think this is specifically for Allwinner chipsets though since those devices frequently get this problem. Read more here
Hi, thank you for the response, however can anyone here have idea how to see detailed spec of the hardware, so that I can find the LCD driver somewhere.
or should I use the "format+download" option on the SP Flash Tools software, so that I have clean device first and then reflash it using the stock ROM.
Best Regards.

Hello.
I'm using mini tablet, unknown brand, chip is rk2928.
I flashed two ROMs on the device, none of them with touch.
I guess I need driver or something, but don't really know what to do.
Any help?
Which ROMs did you flash?
You should flash ROMs specially made for your device, not for any other device.
Even flashing a ROM for a different carrier version of the same device can cause serious problems (AT&T Note 2 ROM on International Note 2 for example)
You will need to re-flash the Stock ROM for your tablet.

He is talking about a Tablet with a specific chip, for these chinese tablets, the brand does not matter, its the chipset can flash any roms that are for that chipset only.

your right you have to flash a touch driver, it sucks to try to find it so i am unable to help you though its normal that if the touch does not work you would have to find a touch driver, you have done nothing wrong its just these chinese chipsets suck to develop for.
Hey guys. I tried to port CyanogenMod for my ZTE Blade III Pro ( copy/paste tutorial ) because there is no kernel source for this phone and there are no custom roms for it. It's a MSM8225 device ( 2 cores 1GHz, 512mb RAM, 4" display, 4.1.2 android .... ) I'm a big fan of AOSP and vanilla android so I tried to port cyanogenmod 10(4.1.2) from Huawei Y300. I did all the steps, repackaged the files into a zip archive, installed it with CWM and expectedly ran into bootloop. The phone won't go past the bootanimation. I did a logcat and there are several fatal errors (signal 11) I've searched and I found that this error is being caused because of the kernel (boot.img), and can be solved with flashing the kernel-only after installing the ROM through the recovery. So my question is: What will happen if I try to flash the cm10 kernel made for the phone I tried to flash the CM10 from (Ascend Y300)??? I'm not really sure what will happen, but since they have the same internals (http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=5425&idPhone2=5386) it should work. But I bricked this phone once (different reasons) and they had to replace the main board ( chipset probably ) but luckily I didn't have to pay anything. Will I be able to flash my stock kernel if this won't help booting the ROM??? Is there a possibility that the phone will be bricked that I will have to replace the chipset??? Please help me.
1. Read the stickies
2. You should never flash a port from any device unless you know what you're doing. Even more so if you ported it yourself. You may want to just go back to stock, but since you said there are no kernel sources, I'm guessing there is no way to return to stock, ergo, you might be SOL.

Well, I actually know what I'm doing, and that it's very risky, and I've flashed ported ROMS like this before, and they never worked, so I know how to recovery from a soft-brick(bootloop), but I didn't know what would happen If I tried to flash kernel made for a totally different phone. But you seem to know quite a bit about Android porting, and I wanna ask you another question. Even though ZTE hasn't released kernel-source for ZTE Blade III Pro (my device), it has released sources for ZTE Blade G, which has the same internals as ZTE Blade III Pro, but features a bigger and higher resolution display!!! http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=5425&idPhone2=5620 Can I use the kernel source to attempt to build cyanogenmod or a completely stock ROM from source??? I know how to do this because I've already been doing it but failed when I came to the step to load the sources. But, still, I'm sure that the display wouldn't work. Thanks anyways...
I've ported from the G300 to the Fusion 2, and you still need to use a modified kernel so it works on your device.
You should also note that while the first two devices have similar specs they are from different OEMs so they could be totally different. Also when porting the displays must have the same res.

Hello everyone.
I have an Alcatel One Touch 908F running Android 2.2.2 that I chose to root and install a 2.3 ROM since no official update was released and it had a lot of advantages that I really need. I successfully rooted it with VROOT, install a CWM 5.0.2.7 recovery and flashed two custom ROMs based on 2.2.2 (the one for Alcatel One Touch 908S WIND, and the one for Alcatel One Touch 908Q T-Mobile) just for testing.
Both successfully worked with no problems at all (except the fact that Back, Home and Menu changed their places but it was fixed by flashing a tool that I found on this forum - Thank you so much, developers!) so I wanted to flash a 2.3 ROM, but I didn't realize that it wasn't approprite (It was only for Alcatel One Touch Telenor, and the worst: it wasn't told in the instructions!). I knew it when, once my phone booted for the 1st time, it showed the "Telenor" logo reversed on top, and white lines at the bottom of the screen. So I reverted back to my stock ROM using a backup made with CWM.
I got the stock ROM again. Only now, neither the touchscreen nor the lighting Home, Menu and Back keys are working! Hitting the screen acts like hitting the Menu button!
I tried many ROMs, and it didn't work. Well, the good thing is that I still have root access, USB debugging enabled and CWM 5.0.2.8 recovery.
I'm really desperate. My phone is out of warranty. Is my phone really as useful as a brick, now? I hope it isn't. Can you help me, please? I urgently need my phone to work again because I can't afford to buy a new one or repair it! Is there any software that can bring my only smartphone back to life? Shall I switch to TWRP recovery? Which ROM shall I flash?
Thank you so much in advance for your help!
UP... (Since there was no reply for so long...)
I see, it is not a popular model
I found out that the problem can be solved by flashing the stock kernel which contains the original touchscreen drivers needed to make it work again, but I couldn't find the file. Can anyone upload it for me, please? If this is not the right way,
Does anyone have another, please? Thank you!

Flash everything ( including ROM , boot.img etc. ) created for your device . It will solve the problem .
As a warning, don't flash other device's firmware , until you became a porter or using an Android one :sly:
Hope I helped !

Hello to all community members.
First, sorry for my english...is not very good.
I post this questions here because I searched a lot on google and on this forum and others, and I can't found a solution.
I tell my situation: Samsung S5 clone, on box SM-G900. Under battery SM-G9008. On droidtool MT6571, SM-G900H, LCD Driver IC : 0-rm68171_fwvga_dsi_vdo_tm., UBIFS. And on recovery GT-I9008. Is made in Korea.
Well, in first moment I can enter to recovery, but triying things now is totally dead, no charge, no recovey, no lights...
I tried a lot of things, but i found a rom from needrom it makes the phone alive, but with black screen.
Knowing this:
1. I found another ROM with that LCD drivers (it means in description), but is not for MT6571 and I can't flash with sp flashtool. Question: Is possible to "extract" drivers from one rom to another?? This is "copy" LCD driver from the rom to needrom's.
2. I found another roms on another forum, for MT6571, but any worked. That it makes me think that the chip is not really MT6571, but if I try to flash a 6572 i get "chip not match" from flashtool. I tried to make a backup and the program droidtool creates a scatter for 6572, is strange. Question: is only droidtools the program needed to know real hardware?? Searching on google for that model, i found a lot of roms for MT6572 with all the characteristics from phone, but only 2 o 3 with MT6571. But, the rom for MT6571 is only the one it flash without errors.
3. Where I can find a stock rom for that phone???
I need a way to unbrick the phone, I think is possible, but I don't have an original backup or any file from the original android
Any suggestions??
I think that these questions are in this section, if I should go elsewhere sorry...
A lot of thanks.
I add some new info about this.
I tried to connect the phone to pc, and I can view the folders and files from inside. My question now is:
The phone is running but black screen, is possible to change lcd driver on any folder?? Where are installed lcd drivers on android device mtk???
Please, I need some clue about this...
Thank you!!
Hi all,
First of all: i am new here. And sorry for my bad English.
I have here a Voyo Q901HD with a new digitizer. Everything works fine but there is one problem. The whole touchscreen is inverted... I have tried everything... Change the system.prop, searching for flash again (but there is no firmware to found), reboot, reset.. But nothing helps...
More information about the Voyo Q901HD can you find here: http:*//*en*myvoyo.com*/chanpin*/pingban*/336.shtml or www*gearbest.com*/tablet-pcs/*pp_266237.html [remove the wildcards]
There is no defective with the digitizer: it works perfect and smooth but only in the wrong direction. There should be a possibility to change it correctly in a configuration file? I hope someone can help!
Thanx for helping and kind regards
Also the 'script.bin' is no option! Is not found on the tablet...
Ok, the problem is now totaly different. I tried to install a custom mod what maybe can fix the problem. I have WDM recovery installed. I have yet CWM recovery installed. The only thing that works... When i try to install a custom mod i receive error 7. But when i recovery my original image where i have make a backup from it does also not work... The backup maked with Smartphone Flashtool and MTK Droid Tool hangs on a sometimes flashing ANDROID logo on the screen... I use the Scatter file inside the image.
Hi @haajee86
I have that same Tablet that died on me !
the tablet is on a logo bootloop and there is no info or download tools for this 4G version of the tablet on VOYO site
So i would like to ask you if you are able to send me the stock rom ? or extract it from your tablet ?
i really appreciate it.
Thanks
Yes you can extract rom from tablet using MTK droid tools, then upload to needrom.com and i can modify parameter for you.
