[Q] Best glass screen protector? - Galaxy Note 4 Accessories

Can anybody re-direct me into buying the best glass screen protector for the Note 4? I purchased one on Amazon for £9 which supported 2.5D edges but it still has some horrible Halo effect going round the sides and isn't full sized at all. Would prefer to buy it from Amazon UK or any other UK store, not really wanting to use eBay. Cheers!

I am liking nuglas. It has some halo but it's not terrible. Some people have reported no halo.

I'm using a Moshi iVisor which I got from MobileFun:
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/moshi-iv...ote-4-glass-screen-protector-black-p51561.htm

Thanks for the help, I don't think I'll drop £30 on one but there seems to be a nice range of options on Mobilefun with good recommendations!

Best screen protector?

Hi, I have had my One X for 3 days and today I noticed a tiny scratch on the screen. What is the best screen protector readily available in Canada? I have been looking at the skinomi one but liquid armor looks great too. I will not be getting a case so edge to edge coverage is important to me.
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
I would go with the Skinomi, much less of an orange peel look to it than Zagg.
If you up for some reading, there's plenty of good reviews/posts here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1620270
If you do decide to get the Skinomi don't forget to use the discount code "Get25" to get 25% off your order. Plus free shipping to US and Canada.
Thank you to those that replied. I just ordered the skinomi.
Hmm i thought the screen was super tough, i tested it myself and stabbed it with a sharp knife in the video link below http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpR306UYNBc
Sand might do more damage though. Check out the video

Whilst Spigen are not now promoting a free screen protector, if you look at the included items with the case, it now states "Front Cover Screen Protector 1PC", so I guess the free screen protector is still included! You have to love marketing departments.....

Before you would have 2 screen protectors in the end. The included one and the extra one (I hope).
You could order screen protectors even and choose a free screen protector too.

Up to the 22nd April, the website did not specify that a screen protector was included other than the promotional tick box. The site has now changed with a screen protector listed as included.

I ordered the Neo Hybrid yesterday and it definitely said "Front Cover Screen Protector - 1 PC" as it does now.
I also see they now have 50% off a screen protector when you buy a case.
In addition it seems the price on the Neo Hybrid was raised by $1.

Also, a cached copy from Google is attached showing no screen protector listed other than the free one. Hope you do receive the two

Just make sure its not fake. A lot of them on ebay are fake.
I hope not.
One reassuring piece of info that may be relative is that they wont ship until may 1st. Possibly waiting for inventory?
I will have the phone before the case comes

Otter box did an awesome job on the GS4 cases thats for sure. Design wise atleast
Same problem here. Get the s4 sat and slim armor may 10. Talked to my Sprint retail store guy and he said to come see him friday before all hell breaks lose on sat and he'll make sure I get an sview case. Retail expects to sell out of the first shipment quickly. Sview cases and phones.

There are some cheap TPUs on eBay that you can order for the meantime. I boughten one for $4 earlier today and it's supposed to arrive on Saturday which is perfect.

just got a response earlier about a question i asked a few days ago... WEIGHT AND DIMENSIONS!
this is what they had to say!
"Thank you for contacting Spigen.com Customer Service Department.
Hi, my name is Hanna from Spigen.com.
Thank you for your recent order with us!
The slim armor will add on about 2mm on each side for the length and about 1.5mm on each side for the width. The case itself will add about 3-4 ounces of weight to your phone.
These are all approximations since we do not have the actual case available as of yet. "
so 3mm added to the thickness approximately, and 85-113 grams on top of the gs4's 7.9mm thickness and 130 grams.
not bad, for a slim case with the best protection! hope i like it, who knows lol
i think the best looking case yet is the iSkin EXO
beats otterbox thats for sure

i ordered mine to get the extra additional screen protector. spigen also sent me out an LCD cleaning kit for free. on top of that, the fake ones are probably jacked up in price just because those are just coming out too. the phone isnt even released yet.
also if you go to spigens ebay store,
http://stores.ebay.com/SPIGEN-SGP/S...5621014&_sid=1118303154&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322
you'd see that the prices arent different.
also note that spigen has a 90-day manufacturer warranty and a 30 day return policy. under these policies, cases purchased on spigens website are the ONLY spigen cases covered.
"Only items purchased from Spigen.com will be eligible for this warranty." quoted from their website http://www.spigen.com/faq/ #6

I need a screen protector asap, is zagg from BB okay?

I'm looking to get a screen protector asap. I ordered some off amazon and messed up installation due to the fact I couldn't keep dust from getting on my screen during installation. Dunno why my room is so dusty.
I don't have time to wait for something off amazon. And there are best buys all over the place. But I think they only carry zag, for a steep 25.
There's also a tiger direct store down there street but I'm not sure if they carry any.

Att store should have screen protectors if you don't want zagg. I'd get the hd version if I had to use zagg brand, though.

A lot of people say to run a hot shower and steam up your bathroom to help with the dust in the air. Personally after going away from zagg on this phone I probably won't get another one of their products.
I have a Zagg HD and I would recommend getting the tempered glass type. If your hands arent oily there is dragging. Annoying while trying to swipe the screen texting.
Edit: If you need one now then buy a cheap one at Best Buy to hold you over until an online order comes through.

Looking to grab a glass protector from aliexpress but since the phone is relatively new, not sure of anyone's experience there. Previously got one for my S4 there and it was perfect.

I first tried ZAGG glass but then I ended up using Galaxy S5 Screen Protector GLAS.tR SLIM Privacy. Both were pretty impressive to me. ZAGG has lifetime warranty for spigen I think you only get 90 days both cost the same $39.99 and ZAGG Glass is $34.99 on the website

Yep, aware of the bigger and more common brands. They are also usually more than 5 times the price of an equivalent one from China though!
Wondering if anyone had experience with the glass protectors from the Asian market?
I have used iLoome and Spigen products before and they do not impress me for the price I pay relative to alternatives at that point in time.

i have different view on this matter. i'd recommend you to use asian brands because they are economical, yet good quality.
i'm using niilkin tempered glass, it's korean brand, it cost me just 14$ but i'm so satisfied with it, it fits perfectly with s5, finger-print resistance, real glass and super responsive. it's what you see is what you get.
hope it helps you
I ordered this one from DX :

Great glass
I am using the Lunnitt 9H (purchased from Amazon), love it and can't say a thing bad about the protector.
Thanks for the suggestion all!
And if you really think that protector you get for paying the overpriced $30+ is any better than the $5 one... The marketing got you good...
I use baseus, got it for about 15$.
I have it for about a month and a half now and it's still fingerprint resistant, very easy to clean, no scratches, and it's glass so it feels good to touch, i can't stand the plastic films.
I don't intend on finding out about shatter resistance though
Got the tech armor one, pretty good and very easy to put on, it was for $15 at amazon
got the glass m
http://theglass-m.com/collections/a...-glass-screen-protector-for-samsung-galaxy-s5
0.2MM thick and feels like the original glass
I got the Hero Glass from Amazon. $15 Awesome! Sorry, can't post a link yet.
Anybody pop off Otterbox defender screen protector and use a glass one? Ive been thinking of trying it but not sure if it will fit. I hate the defender case protector and love the clarity of the glass ones.
Using m-glass. On all devices. Very nice and shipping to Russia cheap. Feel like no protector.

Screen Protectors - recommendations

Bit the bullet and purchased here in blighty.
Managed to get it on an o2 upgrade through CPW for 230. Would have like the 32GB version but 16GB should do (coming from a G2 with on 16GB and no SD).
So first concern will be screen protector.
Have you any recommendations of brands you have used or what you have currently for the phone?
Amazon is throwing up the following brands
Celicious
Brotect
Top Ace
ELTD
iLLumiShield
Will work out a case as well.

I'm hoping there will be some more cases available for this phone soon, amazon currently have a couple but i really want a black one. Been considering the unicorn beetle case but there's no image of the black/black model on amazon, only the frosted/black one.
I'd be interested to hear how the tempered glass screen protector works out though
Never used one so not sure how easy they are to apply, also never bought anything from Aliexpress, is there service pretty good?
Good to know of some other UK early adopters

The problem you may be posting about when you get that is that the screen on our phone has a beveled edge, either the screen protector won't make contact on the edges, or it won't cover the full screen.
It's very likely we won't see a proper full-coverage protector for the life of the device.
I just went with a custom cut one from Geek Squad, $20 well spent. (but still not edge-to-edge)

Just ordered an Xtremeguard as well with that coupon, I got the "Hi-Def Dry-Install" version. First of all, thank you for sharing it! And second, please let us know how it is when it arrives. I'm currently in Germany so my shipping will take respectively longer (18-31 Days was the suggestion with the $5.87 USPS International Shipping option, ouchhh).. But on a positive note, after the 80% off coupon the whole deal, including shipping to Europe, was only about $7-$8ish!
Anyway, thanks again

I have some random screen protector, jeez I forgot the brand....Qmust maybe?
They're all mostly fine anyway
EDIT: Woops I mean it's a tempered glass screen protector.
No proper Screen Protector yet available for MXP. I bought back covers and screen protectors, all ruined in few days.
My brotec (?) screen protector os doing just fine 3 months in.
Seems most aren't the best fits due to curve of screen but covers 98% of the screen when a case is on as well so I'm happy enough.
I recently bought a back cover for my Moto X Play. It is from "Frosted Series" of Nillkin brand. The device is much more comfortable now, thanks to the TPU material used.
Here is the link : http://www.amazon.in/dp/B0173QXAD2
Another case which I considered was : http://www.amazon.in/dp/B015XII0W8
This case is also made of Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).
I don't think I'll bother with a screen protector this time around, it's got Gorilla Glass 3 already and have never had problems with screen scratches previously, with inferior screen solutions.
I shall wing it, apart from my TPU case to protect the corners of the device which is my main damage culprit.
those with xtreme guard applied, could you guys share some pics of your phone? did the film cover the whole screen?
Few weeks ago i installed a 5 euro/dollar anti glare screenprotector and it fits perfect. The edges are rounded so you will never find a screen protector that covers the whole screen.I use the original moto x play flip shell for protection and a screen protector for the anti glare look.
