Man, craziest thing happened as I was getting off of work (Walmart). I'm passing by the electronics section and there was a customer complaining because he bought a smartwatch and it wouldn't connect to his phone. Come to find out, it wouldn't connect because the watch was a Samsung gear and his phone was an LG G2. They were incompatible. So I told him to get a LG G Watch R instead and explained everything about the watch to him. Next thing I know, he dragging me through the store, looking for a manager to ask why I'm not working in the electronics section lol. I feel good

Let me start off by stating that XDA and all the moderators and users have created something absolutely amazing. This site has allowed and taught me to turn just my cell phone into something awesome and personalized. I'm lovin what you guys are doing so keep up the good work for sure.
The first smartphone I got was the Evo Shift, and fell in love immediately. I very soon after discovered XDA and started rooting and flashing away. I helped a few friends out rooting their phones, but I just felt like the Shift was far better and faster.
I used the phone for around 6 months or so. Unfortunately that's where my happiness ended. My girlfriend decided to snatch it out of my hands one night, and i guess decided that I no longer needed a phone, so she smashed it against the pavement which ended my little buddy. Lol. Well she saw the error of her ways or who know what, but she's going to try and buy me a phone in a day or so. We are both not really "ballin" enough to go throw money on some things. Anyways she only is gonna spend around $40 or $50 on the phone. I've looked on eBay, Craigslist, and other sites and it seems like im sort of S.O.L. I've checked out other phones besides the shift, and all i really care about is speed. But hell beggars can't be choosers lol. Well i decided to ask on here to see if I might get lucky and see if anyone has a decent sprint phone they are trying to sell or get rid of.
Any help is much appreciated and very thanked regardless.
I sympathize with your position but the only place on XDA for buying/selling/trading of devices is the marketplace, and unfortunately you will not have access there due to your account being very new, or by PM with someone and you are both taking a risk which most XDA members are unlikely to do. Or by an external source such as you have already checked out.
I will move this thread to Q&A since you did ask for suggestions, hopefully some members here can think of something helpful to suggest.
I suggest sticking with suggestions related to the phone and avoiding the relationship element please.

I would keep an eye out on Craigslist, and the XDA Marketplace. I've seen more than a few go for just around that price.

I started to laugh and the person gave me the stare down of doom, made me chuckle some more.
And then I asked the CSR if they had cheese to go with all the "wine" they just received... The girl teared up a bit and then asked if I would like to apply for a BB CC...
How does a grown person just "Melt down" @ 10:15 in the morning over a device that's not supposed to be released to them until the 10th?
To all the CSR's that are going to be yelled at, called names, need to get a manager or call the cops today. "We" as in the royal "We" apologize in advance. Good luck and please keep sane today.
My mom is coming in to get a phone. All she knows is that it is big, and she doesn't have to squint to see the text messages when the she doesn't have her glasses on.... She won't yell or scream at you. She won't complain about not having accesories. All you have to do is transfer her contacts and photo's. And show her how to assign ringtones. Please be nice to her

This forum has actually made me feel bad for what the CSR's go through. I've always been more than polite to them (because who wants to help an asshole?) but I've silently resented them for not trying to be more sympathetic. Well I see why now, they put up with so much of peoples **** it makes them callous. I'm sure we have some members on this forum that are CSRs and I would love to hear some horror stories :laugh:

I actually just got off the phone with Verizon to ask about International roaming plan options and asked about shipping date for the Note 3 for the hell of it.
The woman I spoke to was like 'Oh yeah, we have it'
I got excited.
Then she said 'It's available on 10/10 for pre-order'
Sadness ensues.

Eventually police show up because a customer or 5 will call them even if the CSR's won't.
I have dealt with the same store for years now. They try to help as much as they possibly can and the majority of the customers appreciate them calling corp sprint and working stuff out. Maybe because its a corporate store or maybe because of the clientele. But Christ, some people are complete douche nozzles... Without any tack or situational awareness. But the CSR's at this store are definitely very understanding and courteous.
Heh. Any chance this is in LA? I've been on the phone all morning with an AT&T rep who's been calling AT&T stores in the LA area trying to find me a black Note 3. None of them have inventory, but apparently some crazy lady is calling around giving everyone a hard time lol.
EDIT: Turns out they do have the black ones in stock after all. Sorry for the misinformation!

Pasadena Best Buy has them in Black for AT&T also the Glendora Best Buy has them as well...

Damn that sent a chill down my spine... right across from the Beverly Center... I used to work up in that mall back in the day and I waited at the bus stop right there on the corner of 3rd and La Cienega every damn day... miss that time and place... hmmm... small internet

Not sure if you heard the news stories about two "adult" women knocking the crap out of each other at an apple store over the "golden" iphone. There just aren't enough of them so they started brawling. That is just so pathetic, it is a phone, you can order one and get it later on. Yeah I want my phone early, called BB, certainly didn't drive there to day and was told nope, the 10th. I was cool with that and figured it would be the case but hey it never hurts to ask.

Yeah there a few stories of people being .. people...
On the bright side my mom got her device and is a happy camper.Which ever CSR she dealt with was courteous and spent time showing her a bunch of stuff and filming it at the same time. Gave her a copy so she wouldn't forget any of the new things she was shown. She gave a $35 tip for their time. And bought the person a starbucks coffee.

Just like all of us I want this phone, I haven´t got an invite yet but im patient and im sure we will all have recieved one by the end of the month.
The question I have though is if I should buy this phone now or wait for future flag ships?
I currently have the LG Optimus G, its not the newest phone but it doesnt lag and does most of the things I want it to, the main reason why I want to sell it is because I still get money for it now but in a year I wont. (Also the short battery life and bad camera - debatable)
My plan was to sell the Optimus G (on ebay they go for around 150-200€) and then buy the One with that money basically so I would have a brand new smartphone for "100€"
Is it worth it though? The One has killer specs and even though I prefer the LG3, the price blows it out of the water but with 4k screens coming etc, is it maybe worth it to stick with my Optimus G and wait until next year for some new releases?
I hope someone can help me make my decission.

I went to buy a Gear S2 the other day. I went to Best Buy and had to get the guy to check stock. He said "what phone are you going to use?" I said "A Galaxy S7" and he replied "Yeah those should be out soon!" I pulled it out of my pocket and he said "What?!?" I told him the story about how I was surprised too and let him play with it for a minute. It turns out they didn't have the Gear so I thanked him and went across the parking lot to Target.
Same scenario... The watches were in a case so I had to ask for help. The girl asked "what phone are you going to use?" "A Galaxy S7 edge". "Oh, did you pre-order it?" I take it out of my pocket "Yeah I already got it". You would have though that she just spotted a Bigfoot scurrying across the electronics section. Again, I told the story about how I was surprised by the (very) early delivery and she asked if she could see it. After playing with it for a minute I got my watch and went in my way.
I am usually on the front edge of things but I have never been THIS far on the front edge.

This is the real question of the day.
On another note, I had the BestBuy Samsung rep tell me that I can't have my S7E because it's not out. Then I said T-Mobile ships everything early to which he scoffed and said Samsung shouldn't let them The best part was I went there to get a Tech 21 case, and he said they can't sell anything until 3/11, so I asked a BB employee who happily got me one from the back room. I'm using the case as I type this

i went to the lg page for the redemption for the b&o earbuds and it looks like they have moved the date up to the 26th from the 28th. guess they figure enough people already have the phone in hand. can't wait to get these badboys. hopefully the process time goes quickly like the note 7 promos did.
