I recently update my phone (SPHL710) S3 with ND8 and flashed a clockwork mod recovery. I still had about a quarter of my internal storage left around 4gb. I updated to a newer recovery and did a backup to the ext. SD card. I looked again at the amount of space on the internal storage and it is about 1gb. So I did a clean dalvik cache but ti didn't help. I just am trying to figure out what would take up 3gb of space in such a short time frame.

I have a rooted unlocked galaxy s3 Verizon edition. My internal memory says it is full but when I look up under phone storage usage it says I only have 2 gigs of installed apps and various other things such as android os. But says I only have 500 megabytes remaining. Any ideas
Use a root explorer and check and internal sd card, most chances you just have a bunch of zips in the root for folder of your internal card
OR
You have made multiple backups to internal storage, if thats the case, just clean them up.

Did that help you at all? I have the same problem. How do I know what should be in the root and what shouldn't be?
HELP! Internal Storage Full
Today I got an error that my internal Storage was full. SO I decided to go into recovery, wipe factory/reset. wipe cache and wipe dalvik. Then I installed the ROM again fresh and clean. Well after I get in there the damn thing only has 1 GB of space left. I am thinking that I didn't completely format the internal. Can anyone help me with this?
Much Thanks!
Shane
Hey, I upgraded to a cheap android but it has very little internal memory, it can barely handle its own updates let alone the apps. I have rooted it and installed link2sd to put almost every app on the sd card, but that doesnt help. I also set the stock install location to the sd card. the data is still stuck on the internal and causing a low space error
Phone is a kyocera milano
problem Not enough internal space(would like to link internal to external?)
I have a Nexus5 and I'm taking the plunge on buying this for my girlfriend for cheap...
The question is, it has 16GB advertised as ROM, but out of that, how much is REALLY user available?
For example, I had a Microtek phone which had 8 GB rom, but it was partitioned into system, internal and phone
system had like 2GB, phone had 5GB available for photo storage and stuff, and 1GB for apps... which was really a hit in the nuts.
Is it the same with this Motorola phone? I read somewhere it says 16GB but only 12 User avaiable
out of those 12, are they all real for app installations?
What I want to avoid is installing two games and having an "insufficient memory" window
please help!
Thanks!!
Anyone?
Can you just go into Storage settings and tell me how much memory does it read for Internal Storage and if there's another partition named Phone Storage? or if Internal Storage is the only partition? (other than the SD card), can you switch between SD card and internal for app installation?

That's what I read on my phone :
Internal storage :
Total space 11,65GB
Available 11.25GB
Apps (app data & media content) 270MB
....
There's no Phone Storage folder.

That depends on your rom. If you're on JB stock, KK rooted or Lollipop, you'll surely have the choice between SD card and Internal Storage.

Hello guys.
I have Samsung galaxy s2 gt-i9100. I flashed cm13 on it. Me phone has 16 GB of internal storage out of which 1.9 GB was reserved for apps storage. I tried to increase apps storage partition to 6 GB with odin. Now I got 6gb space for apps but the other 9 or 10 GB internal memory is corrupted now. So basically there is no phone storage left. I can't download anything because default download location is phone storage. Can't open gallery can't receive anything though Bluetooth or share it app.
Also when I connect phone to computer it only shows sdcard not internal memory.
What should I do now?
Please help please!!
Thank you
Hi guys. I just need a quick help. I flashed lineage os 14.1 on my xperia L. Everything is fine but storage. So xperia L has 8 GB internal storage. But after i flashed there is only 3.27 gb internal storage. And there is a portable storage name sdcard0 but it is not an sd card. It is like internal storage is devided. 3.27 gb is usable as internal storage, 4gb "sdcard0" cannot be used for installing apps, also apps like instagram load cache to sdcard0 and i can't wipe it. So help me merge those together and be able to use my 8gb internal storage please!
(Other SD CARD is an actual sd cart

first note that Xperia L has just 4GB of internal storage + 1.3GB system + 1.6GB data partition + 500MB cache +etc ( = 8GB in total).
then try clean installing the latest nightly version again to check if gets fixed. if it doesn't help, backup all of your files in internal sdcard and format it in recovery to check if that extra partition gets disappeared.

Actually flashing stock os didn't fixed either. Sony is DUMB. 4gb internal storage can be used for apps but other 4gb can only be used for data (.obb files, media files, everything but not app). It is like phone has an extra internal sd card in it. When i install large games like 1.5 gb, 30-40 mb gets located in first 4gb part, and the rest is stored in other internal but external-ish sd card. Simply, phuck sony.
