How to root?

Found a few youtube videos and threads about how to root my new Transformer TF300T, 9.4.3.30.
Tried the "Unlock Device Tool" but it says my device is not supported.
And being visually-disabled, I can't read the fine print that comes up when I reboot with the power and volume key.
Can anyone direct me to the right place and/or walk me through it?

help bootloader unlocking

so i purchased a new tf300t on black friday and i cant unlock bootloader. tool keeps failing. im wondering is there another method of getting the recovery on there? i have already broke my head trying multiple root methods that always fail. thanks.

worked fine for me, you downloaded the right tool correct?

Just keep trying every 15 min or so, you will get it eventually. It took my like 50 tries. Also, you need to be connected to the internet.

I had the same problem with mine , i had to contact asus support , they tell me that my serial number and my wifi mac adress were not in their database so the unlocking tool wont work. They did the necessary and it worked after two days.

really disappointed. yes im connected to the internet and also im using the v7 tool. i dont see why i cant flash recovery via fastboot. smh it wont even recognize my device in either adb or fastboot

Drivers?

so if anyone is having problem getting the tablet unlocked with the unlock tool, it's likely they messed up your serial number and mac address in their file. i know this is true for my tablet because my tablet's mac address does not match the one they have on file. however, they are being a **** and refuse to change it unless i ship it in....sigh...

How to get fastboot... unlock first

Before the tablet can be recognized in fastboot, the device must be unlocked. Only after you unlock the device will you be able to put the device into "fastboot" mode. This is why fastboot does not recognize your device.
Unlocking requires a few things:
Go to the Asus site and download the v7 tool
copy the v7 tool to the tablet
run the v7 tool on your tablet from the tablet GUI
it will install the v7 unlocker application
run the unlocker application from your app drawer
you have to accept a few agreements
click the unlock button
after that, your device will reboot
This is how to confirm that the unlock tool was successful: After your TF300 reboots, you will see the normal ASUS logo in the middle and some very small text in the top left will say: "device unlocked."

This is my first time modifiing an Android device
I have been reading countless forum entries for the past 4 weeks, just to make sure I get everything right and unbrickable
I just unlocked my tablet last night
I am on either .29 or .30 of ICS

Can i root without PC

Hi all,
I just made a replace of Motherboard cuz before one briked.
Now with 4.2.1 Stock and fine with stock recovery, but.... i connect PC ( tried on differents 3 pcs), the Computer don´t reconize TF300t, without success, don´t work ADB, Fastboot, Asus sync , nothing.:crying:
I only need to Root, are there any way without PC and without TWRP recovery?

Yeah, installed and everything with differente computer. It´s unknown devices... Before to change Motherboard a least i can enter to APX mode, now can´t but table working by own.

How to Restore Asus TF101 to Orignal FW?

Hello,
I am looking to restore my Asus TF101 to it original FW, hope someone could help me.
Currently I have a Asus TF101 with Rogue XM Recovery 1.5.0 (CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.8), I have boot into recovery but unable to see an option to restock original FW.
I have also:-
1) Enable USB Debugging
2) Connect my Asus to my PC
3) Start 1-Click Transformer Root 1.1. bat
However it load up it seem to try to install adb-drives with dpinst_x86, even though I have already install dpinst_x64. It then stay on the, without any indication of installing.
"Waiting for device for first step...
If you didn't have derivers then this can take up to 5 mins"

Download the ROM from ASUSs site, flash it from recovery, Im on my tablet right now so posting links is a pain, if you google for TF101 ASUS you should find it

Asus Memo Pad me173x root with broken screen

Hello XDA
I have a Asus MemoPad me173x with broken screen
device is locked and unrooted.
1)I have tried using fastboot to get a custom recovery so i can use a rooted rom.it is failing because of (i guess loced bootloader)
2) Then tried the "Unlocking the bootloader" using Flash_tool.exe and it faild with the following error - "To download code aerea is forbidden in this phone" (6010) MPS ERROR CODE
3) tried connecting a keyboard with otg cable when the screen is turned on because the main problem is that the digitizer is dead i can see the creen but touch is not working - keyboard is not working tried it with a powered hub still failed.
4)superdragonpt thread was removed .
please advise
my final goal is to work on the tablet with keyboard and mouse without the touch
