Without rooting, I doubt it. Network speed indicators can be found as Xposed modules, but Xposed requires root. Why not just root?

I cant get isis mobile wallet to work it keeps picking up root. I have tried the rootcloak plus also and also rootcloak plus through xposed and isis keeps picking up root, and this was with the isus verizon activity app added to the list to block and there are no other verizon apps on the list to block. Anyone ?
Figured it out working now.

I was using root cloak wrong I thought you had to delete the verizon isis one off the list instead it needed to be left alone and then it worked, just mixed up what I was supposed to do. Just install the app and do what it says and dont remove the verizon isis one on the list.
Just rooted my note 3 an I'm sure I was reading about an app earlier today where I could have data speeds in the notication bar

There are a number of ways to do this, most of which include installing a custom rom to your Note 3. If you want the easiest way to do it without a custom rom, download the Xposed Installer app. You have to enable the firmware and reboot. Then head over to the download tab and search for NetworkSpeedIndicator and install it. Then head back to main screen and click on Modules tab. Activate the network speed indicator module by clicking on the empty check box to the right of it. Then reboot and when phone restarts just open the app for the network speed indicator and adjust settings as desired. Profit...
Thanks got it working.
Some excellent things in that installer

Yeah, Xposed is a great place to start if you want to see what your phone is really capable of doing with mods. If you decide to go with a custom rom to remove all the bloatware, I would recommend Dynamic Kat. It has the speed indicator built into the rom settings and it is a super fast and battery saving rom.
Appreciated think that's my next step.

We all ask a noob question every now and then. That's why I love XDA so much because odds are there is someone who has the expertise to answer what you may not understand.
you can also see by installing app like Internet Speed Meter Lite on google Play Store.
download and configure as you want.

enjoy.

Thats because the only way to get 1080p is to have root. If you don't have root, then you have to wait for Google to fix which probably won't happen as its a long time bug.
Is there a way too hide that your phone is rooted? Trying to use soft card and it doesn't support rooted devices

Any solution to this?
I've modded dpi to 280 using the adb method, im not rooted.
Moto Camera worked fine, after the update it started detecting the swap camera button as a tap and used to take a pic. Had to rollback to factory version and it works fine now.
but, i cant crop images in any app.. it shows only one-fourth of the image and I can't pan / zoom. Crop is broken.
I didn't realize the DPI could be changed in adb, learn something new every day.

I use app settings and change Android system to 270. Everything seems to work. If I find a troublesome app, I change just that app to 320.

I believe it's "adb shell wm density “INSERT_DPI” && adb reboot" I've never had much luck with changing the DPI. Several apps that I really need refuse to install and/or update if I change it.
Have you guys tried this app? I'm on stock rooted and set to 280 without problems.

I'm not rooted, which is why I can't set individual dpi for apps.

Yeah but what about rooting to set and then unrooting? If your bootloader is locked I'd imagine you could do so safely too. I know it doesn't exactly work as you would like, but maybe a good workaround until you did? Just so you can have your apps optimized.

Would be nice, but app settings stopped working with android 5.0 and the developer has abandoned the project....so no dice there. I miss that module TERRIBLY!!

This just edits the build.prop....why the need for an app to do that?

OMG, really?!?!?! Would you please be kind enough to share the apk?
**edit**
nevermind, I found it. Thank you for letting me know!! You seriously have no idea how excited I am to have this one back!!! Screen rotation is absolutely HUGE for me, and I've been having to resort to half-baked root app solutions with more bugs than working parts since the lollipop update.
