custom recovery S6 Edge
i have sprint galaxy s6 edge with custom rom rooted and custom twrp recovery there is a download for s6 for twrp and it works i have sac rom installed working just fine no crashes had it for over 2 wks w/ V3
Custom recovery....
I'm not too concerned regarding a custom recovery right now. I'm definitely going to update and root 5.1.1 though!
Works great!
I installed the OF7 tar over my rooted 5.0.2 and got 5.1.1 unrooted without losing my settings/files. Then I employed this rooting method and it worked like a charm. Thanks!
Should we expect a version that won't trip Knox?

Custom Recovery
I have seen conflicting answers to my question. If I install the 5.1.1 update as in the post and I already have TWRP Recovery installed will I lose it or will it stay?

You will lose root and twrp. You will be able to reroot, but no TWRP is available yet
Private mode....
When using this root method, I can't seem to enable Private Mode. When I go to turn it on, it says 'Failed to enable Private Mode'. Anybody have any ideas as to why this happens? I can flash back to the stock kernel (which unroots), then it works fine again.
Private mode...
Private mode doesn't work on the OF7 or OFE after root. Any ideas on how to fix this issue folks? I also have the night clock issue as well. I never tested it on the unrooted OFE, so I don't know if it is just a root bug or something.

5.1.1, Rooted, Custom Recovery...All seems to be working like it should.
Line removal from kernel
I'm going to try the V5 Kernel now, but I haven't removed any lines from my previous ones either and haven't had any issues. I'm still a little hazy on why we need too, but I'm going to look at the thread regarding it tonight.

Home Button remap
I chose your rom, not because I saw it had lollipop and has a bunch of features, but because you look like you respond to many questions and inquiries that are asked. Besides that, I had a question of my own, hence this post that I cannot post because I have less than 10 post. Anyhow, so I like most of the customizable options in the setting. I cannot, however, find a setting to remap my home button, which I could in my old rom. So, I looked it up and found out that I cannot get xposed framework on this rom because it is 5.0 and there isn't a version yet. To make things short, how can I remap my home key button to recent apps button.
Thanks in advance,
Travis Tran

May I know how did you flash?
My one also! I can follow the steps and OK. However, in the CWM cant find my TF card! After flash the 5.0 rom NO WIFI at all.
(I'm a Taiwanese, and my English isn't fluent, please forgive me.)
I'm now already in 5.0.1 with CWM.
But there is a problem.
I can't take screenshot, can't take a photo with camera, and every time when I download something by Google Chrome, it always failed.
I guess it's due to the permission of sdcard0 can't be overwritten.
And the permission couldn't be changed even use Rootexplorer.

Hey all,
New to the S6 Edge. What root methods are currently available for this thing? I'm on OL1 and am not too concerned about tripping Knox, but if it could be avoided that's fine by me.
You can root using modified stock kernels with built in SuperSu. This one is most updated:

You can't use backups to go back and forth between Marshmallow and Lollipop. If you want to use this rom you need to go over to the unlocking bootloader thread and follow directions to update your bootloader to QA1 the flash this rom and your hardware keys will work
I figured it out. My backup was that of 5.1.1, when I upgraded to marshmallow i updated the bootloader. Anyways, I flashed this perfectly as I was on marshmallow firmware and bootloader. Hardware keys working and all. Thanks man.

Anyone else find that QA1 results in excess battery drainage?
Reinstalled it a couple of times and found the same thing. Had no issues with PL1 and reverted back to it with the same Data and the battery usage seems fine again.
