Im curious to use long time exposure on S6. Root or any modification? Maybe 3rd part app?
Or its just a dream until Samsung himself dont give us this option?

Hi folks,
I recently got a nexus s and I quite like it. However I'm wondering if there is a way to get continuous autofocus like iphone or my touch 4g in stock camera app or any other 3rd party app ? Right now It auto-focuses only after I click shutter button.
not with stock. but cyanogen for example added coninuous auto focus into the nexus one video recording. so the same may happen for the nexus s eventually.

Thanks, how about 3rd party apps that would allow continous auto focus ? Btw I'm not talking about coninuous auto focus during video recording.
Nexus 5 front video camera is dark!
I never posted a thread so hello, but I have a major issue with my Nexus 5. I checked on Google and I couldn't find anyone else with this problem. My front video camera is dark, it's as if the exposure settings are at like -5. That's how dark it is. I also have the camera mod downloaded (my phone's rooted). If you have any answer can you please provide it? THANKS!
Edit: I tried other apps and it's fine, I don't want to use them because most 3rd party camera apps suck. Front facing picture camera is ok too. Therefore it isn't a hardware issue.
Seems like it's the camera mod hack, from the sound of it.
Are you on a custom ROM? It may be interfering with the hack (I'm not familar with the mod.)

I actually took it off to test the actual camera. I was feeling like returning the phone, but ironically the phone fixed itself a couple minutes ago. I have no idea how, don't ask me, but it did. I'll close the thread. Thanks anyways!
Help. I used to show off my camera pictures with my N5, but around tht time I installed CM11, my camera pictures and videos will often times come out really blurry/fuzzy. It also takes a LONG time to focus. Im losing so many precious momments because of this. This is happening with any camera app.

change roms then
Buy an actual camera if you rely on a phone to capture 'precious' moments. Also if you know that you rely on your phone for these moments why install another OS, rather than stock?

There may be a bug on the ROM... Try changing to see if this helps?

Hi guys. I was wondering if someone with a rooted device could answer me this. So, since the A8 has no live focus on rear camera, I wonder if it's possible activating it just by adding the same lines of the selfie camera on the camera-feature.xml file on the rear camera section.
Maybe Samsung could have disabled this. Since like the S8 has just one camera and got the live focus. I don't know, maybe the software really don't support it and I could be wrong.

Oh that's sad. Btw, thanks for the answer. Guess I'll have to wait till someone make an workable GCam for the Android pie.
Hi!
So i got the OP7 pro like 3 weeks ago, and everytime the camera goes up i feel sorry and afraid that some day it wont go up again.
I use snapchat everyday, a lot... So to get the camera to go up and down wont last so long since it is rated to 300 000 times, i know it is only a rating and it wont light on fire or explode the 300 001 time. But however i ask you guys if there is possible to run a command, use a app, tweak a setting, u name it. To make the camera stay open when i am in snapchat, both when i use the front camera and when i am watching stories and chatting with friends. When i turn the camera i want it to go down of course.
Thanks everyone!

Basically impossible I guess, since snapchat only uses the camera api when on the main screen. You would have to mod snapchat to achieve that.

Thank u for answering! So unless snapchat releases a update that makes you turn off/on this "feature" it would be impossible?
Thanks!

Just close snapchat with it using the rear-facing camera, next time you open it will use the rear-facing and not pop up the front-facing camera.
xposed is only way to mod Snapchat

It does this with other apps like Kik as well. Probably need an Xposed module to stop the front cam from popping up unless it needs access to it.
