Enable notifications not saved - Android General

Hi,
I hope, I'm in the right forum with my question, if not please indicate me where I have to place it - thanks. I also didn't find any hint with the search function.
My problem is that the 'enable notification' option isn't saved (e.g. for Tasker or Android Wear or something like this). I can set the check mark and it works as long as the screen isn't switched off.
Is there a way to save this information manually and if so in which file/database?
I'm on a Huawei Mediapad X2 with V5.0 and my device is rooted.
Thanks in advance
Wolfgang

[Q] Tasker 'No Active Profiles' problem. XperiaX10i

Hi guys,
I hope you can shed some light into my problems, i brought tasker for my xperia x10i, firstly i wanted to set it to be able to show notification o missed calls and texts on minimalistic widget, but i have a problem setting it up.
I Followed these guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944981 i followed the guide exactly and done it three times over and it does not work.
I then moved to this guide http://tasker.wikidot.com/add-missed-text-mail-call-text-to-minimalisitc-text-from-tas also followed this accurately and still no notifications.
I noticed that in tasker the profiles/tasks have a check box to the right, i have ticked both, and also clicked apply, the small on/off button at bottom right is set to on.
I followed suggestions that suggested i re-install the application and re-do the steps, i have done this also but nothing has happened, on my notification bar it says Tasker 'No Active Profiles' although on tasker it shows that its on.
I do have TaskKiller installed but have ignored tasker so i dont think that is the problem.
Bellow are some screenshots.
Any help would be appreciated.
please note at the top left of the lock screen there is a slighter dark area, thats where the minimalistic sms widget is supposed to show the missed sms.
Hi,
a profile is only active when a specific situation has occurred.
For example:
Enable WiFi when in a certain place.
Profile is only active when you are at this particular location.

Hi and thanks for the reply,
So i supose in my situation once a message is received, the profile will become active? if thats the case it still says no profiles active.
It says that because your profiles are event based, when that event happens, your profile will activate. Normal profiles that isn't event based will become active, and stay active until the context doesn't match anymore. Basically event based profiles will activate but won't stay activated , unlike non-event based profiles

[how to] disable wifi power saving mode

Having trouble with your wifi dropping out? I was, until i found the 'service mode' dialer code using *#0011#: once you access the field, push the menu button for options and select 'wifi' from the dropdown(popup?) list. In there is an option to disable 'wifi power-saving mode'. It doesn't seem to be a solution for everybody, but it sure helped me! Also, I don't believe this sticks through a reboot. I didn't discover this by accident, I found it on the s3 forum posted by Robalboa, go here and thank him if it helps you as much as it helped me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2271751&page=2
*this in absolutely no way implies i know anything more than reposting a link, use this feature at your own risk.
won't help me cause this phone rocks, but nice find man!:beer:

[Q] Tasker & Secure Settings > GPS issues

Hopefully someone can help me out with this...been reading forums etc. for a while and can't find an answer..
Rooted HTC One m8. Tasker pro. Secure Settings free version. Running 5.0.1
I installed the helped for tasker (or whatever it's called now) and added a new task. Went to plugins >secure settings>gps and set for 'enabled'. When I test the task, it gives me nothing. I trying setting a shortcut to see if that might work and same result as the test. When I go into tasker and click 'test action' it says 'executing action' and it works. However, as soon as I try just clicking the play button, nothing. No clue what else to try, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Same Issue with Llama Locale + Secure Settings

I'm running Exodus 5.1.1 on my OnePlus One. In Llama with the Secure Settings plug in, when I test and activity to toggle GPS to High Accuracy Mode when Maps or Waze is launched, the test works flawlessly. When I actually launch Maps or Waze though, the action never triggers and remains on GPS Battery Savings Mode.

[Question] Need help on HTC U11 normal usage

Dear HTC U11 users,
I'm a newbie here, Just bought my U11 for a last 2 weeks. However, I'm a android user for almost 10 years.
There are something that really annoy me when using HTC. I don't know if we have any solutions for this. If anybody knows, please help me and I really appreciate that. I'm running stock, bootloader locked.
1./ Can we change the brightness of the capacity buttons (back and recent key)? It's too bright, especially in the dark. There is no way to adjust the button brightness.
2./ Can we change the way the home button works? I want to turn off the hold actions, now it always open Google assistant, which I don't want to.
3./ Can we disable the vibration every time we unlock the phone with fingerprint scanner?
Thank you !
1. You'll need a custom kernel. CleanSlate does this. The EAS kernel has it as well(using CleanSlate code I believe)
2. You can change the long press app with the "Assist App" setting. Not sure which category it was in but you can search it in the settings app. It was pretty deep if I remember right.
3. Yes there is an option to disable the vibration in the "Fingerprint scanner" settings category.

Awesome!! Thank you.
About:
Section 2, thanks to Android 8.0, I just need to search for the key words " Assist App" in setting search and get it done. Notice for up-coming readers: you will need to install apps sharing assist app function, or you will not see the option to choose none. In my case, I install the Microsoft launcher to get Cortana. And when you have more than 1 assist app, you can choose "none" in the option list.
section 3, How stupid and careless I am to miss that.
section 1, I will take it as a "no way" for stock users, and due to the U11 is my primary one for work.
Thank you !!!

"Basic Daydreams" feature

Hi All,
Like a number of us, I have been looking for work-arounds for the P20 not having an Always On feature. I have tried the "Always On AMOLED" app with mixed results.
If I go into my Settings->Notifications management, I see an option called "Basic daydreams". It doesn't show up anywhere else, even if I search my phone contents. The internet tells me this is a screensaver function. I am assuming it is disabled in the P20 or we would be able to access it and have an always on screensaver function, yet it appears in the Notifications tab. I tried downloading a Daydreams app from the Play store ("Clock plus") but didn't seem to be able to make it do anything.
Has anyone gotten use out of the Basic Daydreams function, or knows how to work with it?
Thanks in advance!
Same problem here. Anyone find out wtf daydream do not shows up?
Little late, but using AOD on LCD display would just decrease battery and I don't see any point in using it...
