can anyone help?
I just bought this phone, it has specification as:
- MT6592 1.7GHz Octa-Core ARM Cortex-A7
- 2 gb internal storage.
- 12gb phone storage.
- android kitkat 4.4.2
- kernel 3.4.67
- build number: blaupunkt_v1.57W (updated from 1.56W).
my problem:
- can't find the button config for entering the download mode.
- the recovery mode doesn't have install option, only update, so when i tried to install supersu.zip, it failed.
- tried rooting using apk and windows applications, failed (kingoroot successful, but gamekiller unable to run as root, other apps able to run as root).
- what to use to resize internal storage <--> phone storage.
- how to backup stock rom and recovery mode.
thanks

Hello, for rooting ur blaupunkt x1 u must install cwm recovery first
To make cwm recovery u can backup ur rom with mtkdroid tools, and u get cwm recovery..
Install recovery cwm with spf tools and then install supersu.zip
Good luck

You can't flash any update zip in your stock android recovery. You need custom recovery for that.
You can't get your warranty back because you rooted your android using KingRoot app and it unlocked your bootloader.
Most of the manufacturer voids warranty if you unlock bootloader and rooted.
So, you can't get warranty back by flashing stock recovery if your android manufacturer voids.

So, the situation is I have moto g xt1033 with :- unlocked bootloader, rooted, stock rom 4.4.4 kitkat (i mean no custom rom). and fastboot flash mode 41.13 2014-06-16 and philz touch 6 clockworkmod v6.0.4.7
I want to know how to update to lollipop with official OTA update (not manually or sideloaded)?
Why I am asking this?
I got the prompt of official OTA available on my phone and then i clicked yes and downloaded the update. But when i clicked on install, it went in bootloop. It boots on the philz recovery mode and then nothing happens just restart again whatever i select.
As of now, as I backed up, I recovered to the before state of the phone. Do I need to lock the bootloader again or what? The official OTA update is not for me? Then how to get lollipop? I read the soak test etc threads but why not official update ?
Locking the bootloader won't do anything,so don't lock it
Ota update requires:
1.Stock firmware(unmodified and unchanged or tampered)
2.unrooted
3.Stock recovery
That probably happend becuZ your KitKat firmware was modified and you have custom recovery,root..
So just reflash the stock firmware
Do that on your own risk as failing this might brick your phone
Thank me if I helped
Thanks mate for reply.
1. I have stock firmware KK 4.4.4 (though xposed framework & few modules are installed currently)
2. Rooted
3. What is stock recovery? (m noob here)
And i guess reflashing the stock firmware wipes out all user data & apps, right?
Any other alternative which does not wipes out my data?

Actually there is no other way you could do it
i tried everything i could to stop the wipe procedure but it obviously wiped everything
you just backup everything you have got on your internal and external sd card ..
1.Stock Recovery:: Android devices come with Google’s recovery environment, which is often referred to as the “stock recovery.” You can boot to the recovery system by pressing device-specific buttons as your phone or tablet boots or by issuing an adb command that boots your device to recovery mode. The recovery menu provides options to help recover your device — for example, you can reset your device to its factory default state from here. The recovery mode can also be used to flash OTA update files.
2.Custom Recovery::A custom recovery is a third-party recovery environment. Flashing this recovery environment onto your device replaces the default, stock recovery environment with a third-party, customized recovery environment. This is a bit like flashing a custom ROM like CyanogenMod — but, instead of replacing your device’s Android operating system, it replaces the recovery environment.
what you have to do is:
Find the Kitkat official update on the internet accrouding to your [Build number],[model number] [system version] you can get this information in about phone....
If you have asia retail then follow this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2700502
ok Here what i am planning:
1. Uninstall all modules & xposed framework
2. Unroot using supersu
3. Restore/reflash stock recovery (just recovery not whole firmware as I already have stock rom)
4. Install the update either manually via recovery or using auto install.
Am i on right path? Pls help me on step 3, any link or step-t-step guide? I couldn't find one, every post is abt restoring whole firmware.
TIA. Cheers !!

Sorry I can't understand what you want to say.
I think you want to install CM on your phone
Backup all your stuff before doing anhthing
To do this at first you have to unlock the bootloader of your phone. To do this download the adb/usb driver of your phone AND adb, connect your phone with PC and in the adb shell type the following
Adb devices
Fastboot oem unlock
Fastboot format userdata
That's all
The next step is to install Custom Recovery. Download the CWM Recovery for your device and flash recovery by Odin. Now the next step is to install Cyanogen. Download the file, place into the SD Card, boot phone into recovery mode and wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache, wipe data factory data reset. Now come to the main menu and select install from zip. Navigate to the file and thats it
Hit thanks
Hi!
I would like to know if it is possible to restore the 4.4.4 kit kat backup on a 5.1. lollipop system. So basically i would like to update to 5.1 but then I may want to revert back to 4.4.4 with the back up of recovery's 4.4.4 (which is stored on a memory card) Is it possible? Is there a root out for 5.1 yet? please help me if you can.
EDIT:
Here is the solution how to root and install recovery on .368 firmware:
http://techbeasts.com/2015/09/18/ro...ria-z1-compact-android-511-146a0368-firmware/
This is how you create your own FTF firmware with XperiFirm and FlashTool:
http://www.xperiablog.net/2014/08/1...re-files-using-xperifirm-and-flashtool-guide/
This is how you make a pre rooted, flashable zip:
http://techbeasts.com/2015/07/26/how-create-sony-xperia-pre-rooted-firmware-prf-creator/
I hope everything is clear now. I followed the steps above and it is working fine.

you can update to 5.1 but use a prerooted firmware with recovery included, don t flash official cause you will not be able to root it and install recovery.
i reverted between kit kat and lollipop many times myself,no prob.
as long as you have a recovery installed i don t thing you will have a problem.
of course make a back up,in case you want back.
now i noticed you post in the wrong section, should be moved in questions and answers

that´s wrong - you can root LP FW with that TOOL from our genius dev @munjeni.
You only had to unlock the bootloader.
Do I need a custom recovery for flashing the new 5.1.1 firmware? I mean do I need the specific XZ Dual Recovery or can I use the recovery which was installed automatically after rooting?

you say that you made a backup of 4.4.4,right?
you entered recovery so you did it either with TWRP or CWM.TWRP and CWM are both recoveries.
you can flash pre rooted firmware and restore backups with both of them,i just prefer better and suggest TWRP.
remember that if you want to restore your back up you need to do it with the same recovery you made it,i think that TWRP cant restore backups made with CWM and vice-versa.
anyway, you can easily find what backup you have if you find the folders named TWRP and CLOCKWORK or CWM in your external or internal storage, back up files is about 4gb size.
how to install now:
1.reboot your phone and when your led light blink press volume down key to enter TWRP recovery.if it gets you in CWM reboot again and when led blink press volume up,so you enter TWRP recovery.
2.now you are in TWRP you press WIPE on the top right box.then drug the slider at the bottom SWIPE TO FACTORY RESET
3.press back button annd shoose install
4.find your prerooted zip,on the top centre under SELECT ZIP TO INSTALL,is STORAGE internal or external sd card
5.install zip:good:
PS:make a fresh backup before you start
Thank you so much. Finally someone explained it normally.
Can someone give me a link where I can find pre rooted 5.1 Rom as a zip file for my Z1 compact? It would also be important to be central europe, unbranded or telekom. Thank you in advance!
You can do one yourself.
I don't have URLs till hands but those are easy to find on forum.
Here is the solution: http://techbeasts.com/2015/07/26/how-create-sony-xperia-pre-rooted-firmware-prf-creator/
Hello,
i would like to install a custom rom to my china smartphone coolpad 1S with CPU: mtk6592T (armv7 processor rev4(v7l). instruction set: armeabi v7a)
I found many custom roms for my device (for example, the MIUI V6.0),
but i didn't find a simple guide to flash the rom to my device.
I found only that , to install the custom rom, i need to install a recovery TWRP or CWM.
And i found that i need to create the recovery.
To do this, i found that i must use one of the following tools:
MTKdroid tools, to generate/install the CWM
or
EasyMagic TWRP, to generate/install the TWRP.
I would like to know which of the above is the easiest and safest to be used for my phone.
And, finally, if to install the ROM i need a tool, or if i simply can flash it booting my phone in recovery mode.
Thank you!
I'm not aware of these tools but go with TWRP recovery it's simple and easy to use. and once you got recovery you can flash ROMs in the recovery
please need help

No, you can't flash any zips without custom recovery or root.
You'll have to build a recovery for your device based on the series of MTK CPU you have.
There are guides all over the internet for building or porting recovery for MTK devices.
