[Q] SU permission

I have rooted my phone with Suoer1click and have the SU icon. Then I installed the Barnicle Wi/Fi thether program. I ran the Barnicle program and it stops saying it does not have SU permission. How do i go about granting it permission? I thought the SU would do this automatically.
Normally SU should ask you automatically if you want to give the app the permission...have you already tried it after restarting your phone?

I get this every once in a while. I have seen it being a simple communication thing, where a reboot clears it. But I have also had app's be bad from the market and not communicate. I fixed it by getting the app on applanet, it was probably in an update that broke it. Also go into SU and check all the settings to make sure it allows stuff and give notification.
Can Anybody help ?

[Q] Super User issue

I keep getting an error message when trying to access any program that needs super user permission.
"(process com.noshufou.android.su) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I have cleared application data, no luck. I have tried uninstalling the SU update, no luck. I have tried downloading the SU Fix from the market, it says all is good, but if I try to force fix anyway, I get the same SU error message and it will not let me go any further. I tried using Root Explorer to find the file listed above, but of course I need SU access to open Root Exporer.
I am now lost on what to do now. CRAAAAPPPPPPP!

Please search before opening a new thread. This has been covered many times already. The latest su has issues and you need to revert to an older one.

[Q] Setcpu denied superuser access, help?

Setcpu is denied superuser access everytime I open the app. Opening superuser allows me to see that it's been denied in the "log" tab, but doesn't allow me to force superuser to grant access. It doesn't show up as denied in the "apps" tab, or at all for that matter in that tab. Is there a way to force superuser to grant access to setcpu? Any suggestions on how to get superuser access granted to setcpu would be appreciated. BTW, I'm running tweaked 2.2, 0524 pbj, solidICS theme.
Does clearing data from superuser work?
You have one of two things set. Either you told Superuser to deny all apps that request root, or you told Superuser to always deny SetCPU. Make sure that you have it set to prompt when root is requested, and that you don't have anything stored for SetCPU for auto-allow/deny.

Did that, unfortunately superuser is denying access to everything now. I rooted and that didn't fix it, still denies everything.

I have superuser set up to prompt on request. I just downloaded setcpu today and have not been able to get it to allow access in any way. Superuser hasn't given me the ability to auto-allow or deny setcpu. It only displays in the log tab, which doesn't allow me to click on it and dig deeper like it would if it were in the apps tab.
Got it to work for setcpu and everything else that was being deny after clearing superuser data. I reinstalled superuser from the zip in recovery and now it's allowing superuser access as it should. Thanks for the the suggestions.
I had fixed this but uninstalling and reinstalling the update from the market.

[Q] Superuser Issues

Hey, Ok so i updated my Huawei u8650 to android 4.4.2 and something went wrong with my root. I can open superuser and it shows my binary and all that and it says im rooted but when i go to a app that requires root access like terminal emulator for example and i type in the command su. nothing happens it just goes to the next line. and i tried to mount my SD card partition in link2sd and it said that the script cant be created because its not allowed to su.
I thought it could be that superuser just wasn't allowing permissions but i open superuser and theres no apps, no logs or anything. I checked my settings and they're all fine and i even tried to use SuperSU instead and i still got the same thing. There's no prompt to allow access either. I dont know if the apps are just not trying to get root access or what? No app can get root permission and i need to get this fixed so i can fix some bugs on the rom. Please Help.
Thanks to all who attempt or do help. Ill be sure to hit thanks for u.

HELP!!

I rooted my phone with kingroot and while i was using the extra rope, i hung myself. The settings.apk in my phone has become somehow damaged, and will not open. The .apk still exists, but every time i try to open settings (directly or otherwise) it closes with a pop-up saying: unfortunately settings has stopped. I also tried to replace kinguser with superSU and failed leaving myself with confusing root access that is only revealed when certain apps like varied root checkers tell me i'm rooted.
I cannot install non market apps because when settings became damaged, the box was unchecked. All i need is to be able to fix the settings.Apk. I don't have a computer and i can't update superSU binary. I have factory reset my device and tried to find solutions onlinen to no avail. I can access the hidden menu and terminal emulator without root. I need to be able to enable non market installation some how. Can anyone help me?
