Discharge your battery completely. Recharge it to 100% without breaks and without turning it on. Dont remove the charge, turn on the phone now. After you see lockscreen, diconnect the charger and you'll be fine

Use the app battery calibration or wipe battery stats, when your phone is completely charged

Use zepelinrox's battery calibration script.

On phone so can't.
Search xda or google for:
-v6 supercharger
-zepelinrox
In v6 supercharger thread, download section, you will find Battery Calibration.pdf file, yes says pdf but it's script file.

I bought a moto g and it arrived on Thursday. I set up all configurations and, normally, battery over. I charge during the night and everything OK.
Yesterday I played a little and battery stay on 88%, and I turn off the phone. But the phone is for my girlfriend and I only give it today.
Everything right, she played and battery goes to 60%, few hours (1h or 2h) battery gone, and phone shutdown. I turn on again and only have 1%, but this 1% lasted more than 1h and she played games and have wifi on.
I think it's not normal. What you think?
Thanks, and sorry for my English.

Try factory reset your device

Seems like some Gs are getting out of the factory with wacky battery calibration issues.
Charge it to 100%, do a factory reset, run it dry, charge again and use it normally through a few charge cycles. If the issue persists, contact Moto.
You can read about the problem here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545553
it seems to happen only once for a device

Thanks all, I will try and see what happen.

I have a strange battery issue in my phone. My phone switches off at 5% or sometimes even at 12%. When I restart, It shows 0%. Anyone else also facing similar problem?
Anyone with a solution?

Hell yea!! Even i have the same problem... It goes off at 5% and restarts with 0% battery remaining....
Maybe v should both try a battery calibrating app from play store..
It is completely normal to happen. Depending on the surrounding the phone is kept in it switches off automatically to conserve battery drain, so it can happen anytime when phone reaches low battery or critical state. It is the device's method to prevent battery drain as a draining battery can completely destroy the battery and the mobile, so dont worry make sure power saving is on and keep your phone charging

Yes!
The level at which the phone will get off depends on how you are using and your nearby surroundings, if its too hot or too cold it will go off soon, also if you are using net and gps or any other battery consuming operation it will be off sooner than you think, I am too on stock and sometimes it does happens and sometimes not....
PS when you switch on your phone, it consumes some % of battery just like it happens when you start a car so it will go down a little bit.
Oh! I see!! Thanks for d info....
Thanks mate. That was really informative.

Lol, battery is just not calibrated. It just takes a few charge cycle to start reading the battery accurately.
