Got a phone from Sweden

Hi guys,
It's my first post and I'm excited about joining to this forum.
Here's the problem of mine;
My friend from Sweden got me 2x Asus Zenfone 4's, 1 for me and 1 for my mom.
I live in Turkey so the phones does not recieve any signal. I'd like to know is there a way to fix this by installing custom firmwares or such?

first u need to root : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2780597
than install a custom recovery : http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-4/general/asus-zenfone-4-philz-touch-recovery-t2999865
now u can install custom roms look for a turkish rom. i think it will work than. or install another modem.prior to Ur country

What do you mean by modem?

This is the software on your phone that Gets your signal but im Not sure.

[HELP] how to update mate8 (been converted from china to international)

hi there. first, sorry for my english i'm not good at it:crying:.
i have mate8 china version(AL10C00B197) and i'v flash International stock ROM.(see http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/howto-load-international-mate-8-t3293619/page4)
it's done well and seems working very fine:laughexcept model name thingy. my model name changed to "NEXT", not L29)
now im running C900B133.
B133 is too old so i tried to update to B180 or above but i can't do that.
i found many uodate full package such as "NXT-L29C185B180(full) - update.zip"
i wanted to use force update (dial "*#*#2846579 #*#*), so i placed UPDATE.APP to /dload in SDcard and i reflash stock recovery, and tried that call No.
system rebooted and update process start normally but it stuck at 5%. it say "incompatible update data" like something.
i tried many other regions update.zips but everyone said same error.
can anyone guide me how to update my mate8?

Change the model from al10 to international seems quite difficult. Can I just download the international rom and just press three key to flash?

Changing the model is a tough thing!

nope, im not chinese.
unfortunately you can not use 3 button method, u must follow those thread carefully.

i think there has no easy way more than that thread.
i recommend you don't try that, if you a not sure what u need to do.
because it can cause seriously trouble.

Stock Recovery for Huawei GR5 (BLL-L22)?

Does anyone have the stock recovery image for the Huawei GR5 2017 (BLL-L22 on the EMUI 5.0 update?I need it in order to restore my phone to EMUI 5.0, as not having HWC on the custom ROMs makes the UI laggy, and I'd rather use that till the OpenKirin project fixes that issue.

Not really answering your question. I have a question myself. Is your phone rooted? Coz i would really love to know how to root bll-l22.

Download the firmware (that is compatible with your device) and then extract it.

I can help you to do it, but if I do, can you please send me a TWRP backup of stock EMUI 5.0? Please I'm desperate.
Here's how to root it anyways:
Pre requisite:
Minimal ADB and Fastboot installed, find it here: https://redirect.viglink.com/?forma...t and Hacking&txt=Download Version 1.4.2 Here .
1. Unlock the bootloader using this site: https://hwid5.vmall.com/CAS/mobile/...ndex&loginChannel=22000000&reqClientType=2023 . You'll need to create a free account with Huawei.
2. Reboot into fastboot after verifying successful bootloader unlock.
3. Download TWRP from here: https://github.com/OpenKirin/androi...ases/download/3.1.1-0/twrp-3.1.1-0-berlin.img and then rename the image to TWRP. Put it in the minimal ADB and Fastboot folder.
4. Install it by opening a command prompt in the folder (you can do this by shift right clicking and selecting "open windows PowerShell window here" and then typing cmd in the PowerShell prompt) and then typing " fastboot flash recovery twrp.img ".
5. Unplug the phone from the PC, and then boot into TWRP by holding power and volume up.
6. Flash a root solution such as magisk from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445 .
7. Reboot and you should be rooted on EMUI 5.0 with your Huawei GR5 2017 BLL-L22.

I can help if you want to debrand to BLN-L22. Don't have the files for BLL-L22 yet

If it was my guide then I will update the files there. And what all files you flashed, 2 zips or 3 zips as available on FF.

I followed your method.
I flashed update.zip and data (1st n 2nd in ff). But only BLL-L22 .......370 is supported.
Thank you all for BLL-L22 oeminfo.
But still my 4g isn't working. I did debranding from BLN-24 to BLN-L22 and BLN-L22 to BLL-L22.... But still I am facing same problem.
* activated 4g twice
* Changed sim
* Tried different service provider
* Debranding to 2 different region
* Went to Huawei service center
Still 4g isn't working. Is honor 6x actually 4g phone ?
Because when I was using USA firmware it showed 4g on signal but never use 4g.

It is a 4G phone. But it was not working on USA version also right?
Put sim in sim slot 1 only.
I have mine in sim 2 slot but working fine even after debranding.

Are you sure you are using 4G. please check your speed and let me know.
Because when my phone was in USA version (L24 ) firmware. All time it showed 4G sign on signal but when i checked my speed it was around 2-3 Mbps. It only shows 4G sign on signal but it actually run in 3G. When i activated 4G on my sim. My cellular provider gave me 2GB date as a bonus for 4G network only. But that bonus i could not use it because i was never in 4G. I called my cellular provider they told me your phone is using only 3G network.
After debranding it doesnot show 4G sign in signal. That's the only difference.

Results are attached. This is the speed we have here on 4G network (various operators have same speed) and i dont see issue. BTW I am sitting in not best network area but cafeteria where network fluctuates much.

Are you sure you are in 4g network. Because this is my current 3g network Speed.

Unfortunately, the phone doesn't boot and i don't know the build number. The phone model is DLI-L22, it's the only thing i know, I hope it'll be sufficient.

It might help if you share the error message. But as a starter for 10, is it an issue that you used the firmware for a 64GB phone to rebrand your 32GB phone?

You have to rebrand to it's original state, FRD-AL00
