Hi, I'm have been using CM10 the last official version for pyramid which i installed using Clockworkmod until recently when i tried to install CM12 by ivanich
i couldn't get it to work using cwm so i installed 4EXT and everything worked, i was so happy seeing the all new lollipop, i took a lot of time installing my apps until i decided to reboot. I had a problem, i was stuck in recovery my 4EXT displayed a flashing screen written "preparing to boot" so i read a few articles and i fixed it by flashing the boot image, but when it booted my wifi was not working so i tried re-installing the rom but this time my recovery had changed to Cyanogenmod recovery and still i got the wifi problem so i thought the rom had a problem so i got the new CM12.1 and it changed my recovery to TWRP and during setup my wifi was perfect until i rebooted. this is when i realized the problem is not in the rom but my phone
my wifi only works when i do a factory reset, after the reboot i get an exclamation mark and the wifi turns on and off continuously even in aeroplane mode.
So please help me, how do i make sure the wifi works after reboot

Installed cm920130120p505.zip and gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip
The cm9 install went well. Rebooted well. Everythings appears to work fine, make and receive calls, WIFI & G3 works. Turned off the phone and it would not reboot. Just a blank screen. Tried to reboot into recovery. Won't work. Removed battery and waited. Tried recovery again. Won't work. Tried again, this time it rebooted into recovery! I then went ahead and flashed gapps thinking maybe it needed gapps. Turned off phone and it will not reboot. I sweet talked the phone into recovery and went back to Gingerbread 2.3.4.
I did the normal procedure for flashing. Wiped and formated, cleared the cache and wiped battery stats. Flashed the rom, rebooted. Everything looked great. Turned off the phone and tried to reboot into recovery and got the blank screen. You have to try rebooting into recovery by removing the battery and reinserting it and try the boot process maybe 2 or 3 times before it will work.
My Phone Stats: LG-P505, Android version 2.3.4, Kernel version 2.6.35.7-perf, Build number GRJ22, Software or Base Band version LG-P505-V20f - I am unlocked and rooted.
I did install the wrong gapps at first but I figured I could just reflash the correct one afterward and it would get rid of the old gapps. To make sure, I cleared the ROM of everything and started over from scratch 2x. Same result.
Hello,
i had an old Custom Rom on the Desire HD from my girlfriend and now I tried to flash cm-11-20140916-UNOFFICIAL-M10-ace.zip. I had an old version of 4ext and tried to flash the rom. Did not worked, so i used the 4ext recovery updater to update to the newest version (v1.0.0.6 RC2). I tried to flash the rom again and it worked. I did the customisation at the beginning, that appears, when you start the rom the first time or do a factory reset. After that i installed all apps and shut down the phone. I tried to restart it and get stuck after the HTC Logo. There is only a black screen, that is lightened. I have to remove the battery to shut it down again. Tried it some times, but it did not worked. So I did full wipe and flashed cm-11-20140804-UNOFFICIAL-M9-ace.zip. I got the same problem after restarting. Does anybody know how to fix my problem?
btw, I also flashed GAPPS 4.4 PICO.
EDIT: This time I tried it without gapps and it did not work, too. I flashed CM7 and there the reboot works fine.
Hello everyone, I need help with my Galaxy Tab p5100.
Few days ago, I switched from CM 10.3, to SlimKat. To do so, I had to install the CWM 6.0.4.5. I did this through recovery mode (I had an earlier version and flashed the new version through the older one) and it worked just fine.
I unlocked the root feature, installed some apps, including the Xposed Module, Greenify and BootManager.
Everything was working just fine til yesterday. Before sleeping, I turned off the tab.
Today, and all of a sudden, as soon as I turned the tab on, it keept on rebooting every two minutes for no apparent reason. It just starts, boots into Slimkat, then it reboots.
At first I thought it might be a malfunctioning app, so I booted into safe mode, it stayed a little longer than 2 mins without a reboot, then it rebooted again. Tried that more than once.
I did a factory reset, wiped cache, cleared Dalvik and formatted system from the mount and storage section. Still the problem was there, and surprisingly all my apps and personal data was still there!!
Tried the back up and reset option from the ROM itself, while on safe mode, and still nothing happened.
I tried to flash CM 10.3 back via the CWM, it tells me that it succeeded, then I reboot and SlimKat is still there!
I tried to install the TWRP via Odin, and the Odin said PASS. Then when I rebooted into recovery I found that CWM 6.0.4.5 still there!!
I tried to flash the TWRP via the existing CWM, and again it says operation is successful but when I reboot into recovery I find that CWM is still taking over.
I even tried to flash the official JB 4.2.2 ROM via Odin, and it FAILED. (the P5100XXDMH1.tar file)
I feel pretty helpless and I don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Update 1: I can delete an app or two before the tab restarts, and when I did and the tab restarted, the apps were restored!
Hey Guys,
so i got a wierd bootloop problem and for now i didn't find any solution here on xda or somewhere else,
not even a thread where someone has the same problem.
I'll try to give you as much information as possible in a chronological order.
First of all I got the international model (G920F).
So like 2-3 months ago everything was fine, my phone was rooted, got TWRP working and was flashing Roms with no problem what so ever. TW-Roms like Noble Rom and also AOSP/Lineage OS.
One day I wanted to flash UltImAtE NoUgAt A8 Port and that is where the trouble began, dont think it has something to do with the rom but maybe it helps.
So i flashed the Rom(wiped everything except int. storage), flashing was no problem but it didnt boot.
I know first boot always takes some time but after about 20-30 min I forced a reboot (Power+Vol. Down for 7sec).
After that the phone got into a Bootloop(always rebooted into the "first bootingscreen")
I let this process happen for about 15 min. and then tried to enter TWRP via hitting the buttons between the boots which didn't work. I then did "force" a reboot(Power + Vol. Down) which strangely resulted in one final reboot and turning the phone off after the first bootscreen.
So with the phone finally turned off I was able to boot into TWRP and reflashed the rom but the result was the same.
I did the same procedure again to get into TWRP and flashed the Stock Deodexed TW Rom, flashing worked but then the Phone directly rebooted into TWRP. Rebooting out of TWRP or booting the phone from beeing shut down both resulting into booting to TWRP.
So to get my Phone working again I had to flash stock ROM which in my case is G920FXXU5EQDF_G920FDBT5EQD1_G920FXXU5EQCD via Odin.
That worked but of course root and TWRP were gone so I then flashed TWRP via Odin(both newest Versions at that point)
aaaaaand phone straightly booted into TWRP again all the time. I tried different combinations of older versions of both twrp and odin but the result always was the same.
So at the moment I am on Stock, the phone works which is nice but i really wanna get TWRP working again and i have no idea what to do.
I hope someone can help me with that.
Cheers Guys

You do know that if you flash TWRP, you need to use a kernel that has dm-verity disabled or you need to be rooted. Flash TWRP then Flash Magisk through TWRP

As it seems I did not, good thing that its written right at the TWRP download page...
Can't remember doing this when I installed TWRP first but as it seems I did.
Everything is working fine, just flashed Nexus OS and it booted.
Thank you so much dude
So I installed Renovate Rom 13.0 three days back and today suddenly the touch stopped working. I had to use my mouse to browse through my phone and found that I lost root in my phone as well. So I guessed this has something to do with the screen being unresponsive.
I uninstalled substratum completely with all the overlays and rebooted my phone and the touch was working fine again. Next, I tried to open the recovery mode from the power menu in order to flash supersu, the did boot into recovery into TWRP instead it booted the system and the touch became unresponsive again.
I decided to reset my phone, tried the button combination to go to the recovery mode, the notification lighted up as blue but it didn't take me to TWRP instead rebooted the system. So I assumed the TWRP was somehow gone/ corrupted or whatever so my only rescue was to flash the stock firmware via Odin. I flashed the stock Oreo firmware and the touch was working again.
Now when I finally thought the problem was fixed and decided to flash TWRP again to root and flash custom ROM, the flashed TWRP and the touch again stopped working in TWRP. Now before doing anything further and trying to figure out whats wrong, I want you guys to help me out with this problem.
This is a really strange problem which I have never encountered with any of the phones I have ever owned.
