I need twrp root for my sprint galaxy s6 edge on 5.1.1. All of the twrp recoveries ive tried don't work. And I've searched this forum and all others for my device and to no avail.
Can someone share a link to a working recovery so I can root my device?

Well if you've searched all threads then you would see that currently there is no twrp nor root available yet. They're still working on it. But if you want to help out, you can try this TWRP and report back. And did you mean G925P?

If you are stuck on the boot screen, you will need to reflash the stock recovery again with odin. The one for T-mobile works with our phone. You can get it here:

I'm not stuck on it. I was able to return to my room by reseting

I too can confirm it works.
I can confirm it works. Just did it this morning. I believe it kept my unlocked bootlader too, kinda hard to tell though. The custom sign doesn't show up on startup

Your two options are to use Odin and flash a recovery or use casual. If you have not used Odin before then casual it's more fool proof. If you want to stay true to Samsung root then do the Odin.

OK cool I can do that my boot loader needs to be unlocked to flash CWM through Odin otherwise it will brick my device I used official phone rebels rooting method last time I rooted not sure it would work this time since I'm not on the other boot loader anymore

ive been looking around for information about updating the bootloader in my S3....its unlocked but it doesn't seem to want to flash the latest roms and from what ive been reading it seems the bootloader is the issue
any help would be appreciated
Um you can't update the bootloader on the S3. Maybe you meant recovery? Certain recoveries in the past had issues flashing stuff. Go grab GooManager and update TWRP using that app. Maybe that will fix your issue.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
You can update the bootloader, can you link the thread that suggests that? Usually it isn't needed to run custom roms.

Yes, but you need to have a recovery already installed.

Read the post above yours.
You need a custom recovery installed to do this.

Read the comments after the guide. Not very promising.
And I don't think this is posted in the correct section.
Moved here....Thanks.
I posted it and I've successfully rooted my phone and my wife's phone via this method. Running stock rooted with xposed, greenify, adaway, and several other apps that require root.
Just trying to help out as I searched for quit some time for a quick and easy way to root 4.4.2
I used ioroot25 to successfully root my AT&T LG G2 d800 running stock ota kitkat.
Been that way for weeks.
Now, there is not, as of yet, a way to get a custom recovery on the damn thing. Not without downgrading firmware and rooting first. Basically still limited to loki support for custom recoveries.

There is a way to install a custom recovery on stock KK via autorec:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715496
I rooted via this method and then installed twrp with autorec on a stock out of the box KK device. No need to downgrade or anything.

WooHoo! Bonus!
It works and I didn't have to restore to old firmware first, or screw up anything. No lost data.
Thanks.
I was on d80020c, rooted it with above method and was forced to take the 20k update and kept root!

Just use IOROOT25 to root 20k, then AUTOREC to install recovery. Can't get any easier than that.
