[Q] Sensation 4G won't power up unless I remove and reset battery - HTC Sensation

I have an odd problem and I don't want to re-flash my ROM until I figure out what it is. Whenever I power down the phone, I can't power it back up again unless I remove the battery for a few seconds and put it back in.
When I press the Power button after powering down (and leaving the phone "dead" for a few minutes), it won't turn back on. If I press and hold the Power button, the soft touch buttons at the bottom (home, menu, back, search) will start flashing. If I try to power up from power off state after the phone has been charging overnight, nothing will happen. The battery in/out trick clears it allows it to power up normally. Other than this the phone seems to work fine.
DETAILS:
Phone: Sensation 4G TMO version
ROM: ViperS C2 5.3.0 (De-sensed)
S-OFF (Juponutbear trick)
Latest 4EXT recovery.
Any thoughts what could cause this? I was running CM11 but decided to go back to ViperS because of battery life. This just started happening with my most recent flash effort. (I do a full wipe each time and install the updated WiFi package thing.)

go to settings and untick fastboot

Thanks! That seems to have done it. Fastboot was OK on other ROMs. Wonder why not this one?

[Help] RCMix3d won't turn phone off

Hi,
I have a sensation running the latest RCmix3d ROM. I know it has some bugs as it's not a stable version yet, but the biggest one is the inability to turn my phone off. Any time I press the power button and power off, the screen goes blank and then does a fastboot back on again. There's no HTC down animation or anything. It's as if I hit the hot reboot button (a full restart and hot restart options do the same thing as power off too).
I can only turn the phone off by removing the battery. I don't like doing this because I'm pretty sure it can't be good for the phone or battery. I have no idea what's causing this and it's very irritating as there are times when I need to turn my phone off.
Was there an issue with the flashing process, or is it a known bug in the ROM? Any help would be appreciated!

Nexus 5 problems turning on

i have a 32gb white nexus 5, fully charged. stock OS, rooted with TWRP recovery. using Faux123 kernel.
what's weird is that i am unable to turn on the device:
- if i power off the phone and attempt to power it on
- reboot the phone (it will shut off like it's rebooting, but won't turn back on)
pressing and releasing the power button, holding the power button for X amount of time and releasing, etc will not turn on the phone.
in order to turn it back on i have to use vol down + power...even then i have to hold it, release, hold, release, etc and by random chance the phone will boot into bootloader.
the power button doesn't seem to be the issue because it works fine turning the display on/off while the phone is on.
i have not figured any pattern or why this is happening.
has anyone else experienced similar issues?
Your best bet is to go back to stock. Stay stock for a bit and have a baseline to know how your phone is. Then after you start customizing it with 3rd party kernels, ect, you'll know if it's the phone or mods you did.

[Q] HTC Desire C CyanogenMod10 - Waking up and then going back to sleep.

Hey, I recently had my friend flash the unofficial CyanogenMod10 ROM onto my HTC Desire C (Non-NFC version)
I am encountering an error where about 80% of the time when my phone is asleep, and I press the power button to wake it, it will flash on and then go back to sleep.
If I press the power button as quick as I possibly can it will still happen, however; if I hold it down it will stay on until I let it go, at which point it will definitely go back to sleep; I honestly don't know what's happening.
It sometimes also occurs when I've taken a screenshot; it has a high chance of going to sleep when I take my finger off of the power button, same as when I hold down to view the power menu. (That shows reboot, turn off, airplane mode, etc.) and when let go of the button it usually also shuts off, what's happening, is this a problem with the ROM, or something I may have changed?
Also this issue only started occurring about 2 days after the initial flash, whereas until the point everything was working nice and smoothly.
This issue is really annoying...
P.S: Would I be better off using the newest JellyTime ROM rather than the vanilla CM ROM on my Desire C?
Thanks!

[Q] Odd Galaxy S3 Power Issues

I honesty don't know how to describe my problem so I guess I will just tell you whats happening and what I know about my phone.
My phone:
Unlocked Verizon Galaxy S3 running CM for recovery, and CyanogenMod 10 for the ROM (Updated with Odin from Jelly Bean).
The issue:
1) Whenever I press the power button the phone completely shuts off. It doesn't just go to the lock screen, it turns off.
2) The phone will not always turn back on.
3) 85% of the time when it doesn't turn on, it boots into the first splash screen and turns off.
4) When I try to put the phone into download or recovery mode the first screen will pop up for about two seconds and then the phone will turn off again. The phone will either shut down on the cancel/download screen for download mode or the first splash screen with the blue text at the top for recovery mode.
5) The other 15% of the time it will reach the CyanogenMod screen, freeze, then shut off.
6) When I put it on the charger, the stock charging icon pops up but then the phone stops charging and shuts off. (It will charge correctly some times)
These things don't just happen if I press the power button. I used a custom app to turn the phone off without the power button and the problems still occurred.
Things I've tried:
1) Replacing the battery.
2) Switching chargers.
3) Leaving the phone on the charger for a while.
4) Taking the battery out for extended amounts of time.
5) Just leaving the phone alone for a while.
No, the power button isn't stuck... I don't think it is
I am aware that the motherboard might need replaced. However, most of the cases I read about involved the phone not turning on/charging at all. If I could get the phone into recovery mode I would clear the cache and see if that worked, if not I would just factory reset the phone. If I could get into download mode, I would flash a stock firmware and be done with it.
This is my second android phone and I've never had this problem before. I did my experimenting with my old Motorola Droid so I could make sure I knew what was safe with my S3 but apparently there is something wrong.
I greatly appreciate any and all help and please do help me
[EDIT #1]
I began hitting the power button against a hard surface and 1 out of 7 times it works. Perhaps the button is stuck.
[EDIT #2]
I am now able to press the power button without the phone turning off. I will still make a back up and sync all of my important media and prepare to have to factory reset and flash a new ROM.

APM, rebooting takes a LONG time.....

Where as If I power off and power back on with the button. Its really fast, avoids the white HTC screen with the red text at the bottom. Is there a reason for this? A way around it?
My setup - HTC ONE M8 VZN with 4.4.3 NuSense Six ROM ROOT and S-OFF
Thanks all

Are you comparing simply pressing power to sleep and wake the phone to a full restart?

Here's what i'm doing. Sorry I should have given more info.
If I power down using the power menu option reboot, it then restarts the device however it doesn't "fastboot" it shuts down then brings up the white htc boot and the DEV jargon in red at the bottom, and the boot takes a REALLY long time.
If I power down using the power menu option Power Off, it shuts off quickly. Then when powering back on it skips the previous screen, fastbooting?, and shows the boot animation. This way is REALLY fast, nice for applying root things.
Just wondering if this has something to do with Xteneded settings? maybe SenseToolBox. While stock rooted, using standard power menu Reboot works great. fast booting past the dev screen.
However i'm on Nusense six ROM, I don't seem able to completely remove xteneded settings, I unchecked it from xposed, then hit uninstall, all settings remained enabled after 2 reboots. And it wanted setup again in xposed after the 3rd, seemingly to have re installed itself.
It should still show the splash screen even if you power off and back on the device
