I have a galaxy core 2
Android 4.4.2
Quad-core 1.2 Ghz
800 mb of memory ram
4 Gb internal memory
Now my problem is... i formated by recovey mode, doing wipe data and factory reset, then my phone restart like new, i noticed a update and then i accepted to update my phone, everything fine, when finished download my phone's update, it was asking me to install that update files, so i accepted again... and my phone restarted, installing update files, everything seems to be fine and then it fails, like 95% of the progress, installation was aborted and it reboot and stay like that, like a loop, i got that bootloop, just for updating by my phone... can anyone help me?
@LeoONeon Download the firmware an install it via Odin, http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
sorry, i should said before... but i tried to do that, unfortunately won't work
i look for 3 roms of my phone, all official, same model, and none worked, odin always fail when try to setup connection. But before, when my phone was fine, a driver (SAMSUNG Mobile USB CDC Composite Device) fail to initiate, just in download mode, when i connected my phone by its system all drivers worked fine, only in download mode i had problem, like i have now, but now i do that: unninstall that CDC driver and disconnect my phone, then i reinstall samsung usb drivers, when finish i reconnect my phone, only when i do that works... i don't know if is because of that odin always fail to setup connection, odin is my only option? I wanted to use recovery mode, but when i try my phone reboot without showing that mode
@LeoONeon Take the battery off, and pu it again and try it, for now Odin is the only way to flash the official ROM, try in a different PC, may be that is the problem
I tried to take off the battery, all night long, yesterday, and still boot to that update screen. And about trying a different PC, except my pc, i only have a iMac here, but i'll try, and another PC from some lan house. I'll back here to say if worked. Wish me luck :fingers-crossed:
@LeoONeon Good luck bro! the tell us if works

I've tried a few other forums but haven't got any replies, I guess since the Galaxy 5 isn't such a popular device. I figured if there's anyone who can help me they will be here though.
I wanted to put CWM on it so I could get a CM7 port on. Unfortunately it's just about impossible for it to get detected on USB. I've installed Kies (and even the generic USB drivers found in the SDK). In 2 days I only got it to connect once, and then I went and bricked it.
The one time it finally connected I ran Odin and tried loading CWM onto it. It still hadn't finished after half an hour so I figured it ended with an error that was never displayed. So I unplugged it and as expected - brick! I can get into download (upgrade/firmware) mode so I think it can be fixed if I can get CWM on it (and just install the CM7 port I had originally intended to put on).
Problem is I cannot get the darn thing to connect! to my computer I've tried two separate PCs, one running Window 7 x64 and another running XP x32. Is there a a certain process of connecting things? I haven't ran across anyone making mention of one.
Has anyone else experienced USB problems like this with Samsung phones? Would it even be possible to flash CWM on after it's been bricked like this? When I boot (normally) all I get is an image showing a phone and a PC with and exclamation error connecting the two. Please help!
Try to look for stock firmware on the forum.xda-developers.com and flash via ODIN. You need to be able to put the phone into download mode, so maybe get an USB jig. That should do the trick. Odin has to recognize your phone. First of all right click on the ODIN executable and select "Run as administrator" on windows. Plug the phone in the DL mode and wait until it appears as active in Odin. Then flash the ROM and pit file. (Don't use ODIN one click). If ODIN does not recognize your phone try a different USB port or reinstall Kies. The Kies trick was which I used and it was able to recognize my phone.
Thanks, martin0176. I can still manage to get the phone into download mode - it's getting recognized by a PC that's the problem.
Could you tell me more about the pit file? I only have an ops file.
Try a different cable. I was having the same problem on the Samsung Continuum and it turned out that the cable was working for power, but not for data.
hi, I tried to update my galaxy gt I5500 m and unplugged the usb cable by mistake. my phone boots up normal but the screen only uses half the display wifi dont work nor can i install apps anymore. the phone will go into download mode and recovery which gives me an option to hard reset which i did many times or install update.zip which i downloaded. when it tries to install i get error saying that update.zip isnt signed and it aborts install. i cant get it to connect to the computer it just doesn't recognize the phone any more. the phone will charge from computer but thats all. i tried on win xp and win 7 with no luck.i would be happy just to get my phone back the way it was. i would really be greatful for any help thanks.

try read this:

I simply remove the internal memory and flash a custom phone image, it usable but without external memory.
If you cannot connect to the odin3, use Fastboot mode
Hi,
Figured id start off by explaining the history on my Samsung Note N8010
A while back i installed Hyperdrive Rom RS8 (i think), no problems, flawless. However it did change my device id to an N8013, not sure why.
Recently i wanted to use SkyGo Tablet app, however root cloak and Voodoo does not cloak SkyGo Tablet app on this specific rom so i figured id revert back to the original 4.1.2 stock.
I used Mobile Odin, grabbed the zip/tar from the Sam-mobile and hit go.
On reboot, it would not load in, stuck on the Samsung Note 10.1 splash. I do have access to download mode and recovery mode, but it's labelled Android System Reocvery <3e>.
It is worth noting that USB debug did not work on Hyperdrive, so currently no matter what computer i connect this tablet to Odin, Kies or anything will not see it.
When trying to "apply update from sd card" i get E:\ mount problems, it pretty much fails every time.
Any suggestions?

The original issue is probably one of two things. If you downloaded the rom directly to your device its Likely a bad download. DID YOU CHECK MD5 Before flashing. There are also limitations to Mobile odin.
What i would suggest is to uninstall Kies . Make sure you have no other android devices installed on your computer .Download the older version again from Samsung website. Install on your computer. Download odin again i think you want the one a version back as well NOT Latest.
Reboot into download mode. Run odin. if it still does not see your device check Device manager and see if its showing up with a yellow mark. Look for a post i made last week explaining how to correct usb driver for windows.. Download mode should work with out usb debug on if i remember correctly..

Hi, cheers for the response,
I have tried all of what you have said but unfortunately no PC will see my device, not even an "unrecognized device". I have access to android system reocvery <e3> and Download mode (Odin) but the pc just won't recognized, tried new leads and so forth, nothing.
I have a rooted S7 with TWRP recovery on it and i recently deleted my OS by accident as i was just trying to reset my phone to factory settings. Now the only thing i can do is boot into recovery mode and download mode, or i can just get stuck at a boot loop.
I have googled and googled and seen so many ways to try and fix this issue but nothing has worked for me. Heres a list of the issues i have and what i've tried so far. [Using Windows 10]
Installing Odin (3.12.3) and stock Samsung firmware from here.
Installing the necessary USB drivers from here.
My PC wont recognize my samsung device in either modes (recovery/download) and Odin wont recognize my phone either, as well as i cant find anything under "Device Manager".
Tried using ADB to transfer files to my S7 but when i activate ADB in recovery mode it just loads for a couple of seconds until it displays an error with no explanation.
I even tried downloading ADB drivers and necessary tools i got from this guide.
I also tried wiping Dalvik cache and cache.
I have tried three different USB cables on all available USB slots on my desktop PC and the one USB slot in my Surface and nothing works.
I have tried rooting previous phones but I'm still new to this rooting thing and there's a lot i don*t understand. Perhaps i downloaded the wrong USB drivers, or maybe I'm just unlucky. I just really need some help to understand how to fix this. If it can't be fixed is it possible to remove all traces of rooting on my phone?
The phone needs to be in Download Mode to use ODIN
The only sign it is connected is a COM port lit up at the top of the ODIN window
Add the .MD5 ROM to AP and hit start
