[Completed] [Q] Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (SM-T237p) - XDA Assist

So I've rooted this device several times and only once.... have I gotten the wifi to stay on.
But I decided to turn off the device and after that next reboot, the wifi was no longer allowing me to connect.
Attempting to turn on the wifi will freeze the device. I have no idea why it's doing this nor how I got the wifi to stay on previously.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem?
I have successfully rooted many devices and this is the only device that has given me this much stress.
I do not want to go back to stock again, KNOX over heats the tablet and Samsung devices are known to have
heavy bloatware. I just want this device running on wifi and block the mobile data option but that requires root.
N O T E : >>>>>> Any form moderator reading this please... please ...PLEASE DO NOT re-direct me to a form
that has not given a specific answer to this problem nor close this discussion, This issue needs a solution. I can not stress the importance on this request. Any time I ask a question generally I get re-directed to another post with in the vicinity of nowhere near the request and only to go back to square one. I just really need this issue resolved as soon as possible.
I have already search on this form
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/general/root-sm-t237p-t2849224/page2
as well as this one.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/development/rom-sm-t237p-rooted-odexed-2015-04-11-t3079083
and still no solution was found.
Again please DO NOT re-direct me nor close this post.
-Thank you for your time.

Hi there,
First of all I think you need to read our sticky threads about the purpose of this XDA Assist Forum. Take a look bellow with highlighted words:
The mission of XDA Assist is to provide basic help to those who have tried searching but can't find what they are looking for and need assistance. This is not a "helpdesk" providing technical assistance but more to point you in the correct direction with your problem. Perhaps you can't find posts on how to root your phone, install custom recovery or maybe you have questions about how to navigate and use features on the site.
Our XDA Assist team will give you links to threads/forums that are relevant to your problem. You may be pointed towards guides and instructions that can be quite complex, so you will still need to read carefully and be cautious before attempting to make software changes to your device. It is essential you are in the correct forum for your device model; what works for one can ruin another.

[Completed] Sony Ericsson W810i faulty power button.

Here's the deal guys. I have a (assumed working) W810i that has a faulty power button that will not budge or push allowing the device to be turned on. I have came here to seek advice on how this device could be 'jump started' and to see it working again would be great.
If i can get it working it will serve as a backup phone should my current device fail some day.
You may wish to pose that question in General discussion > Questions and Answers as we do not have a forum for your specific Device.

The phone in the description seems like it's the same phone, so I believe this method will work. I'm considering on buying one if someone could test it out. They're on sale for $39 right now. Even if not getting root isn't possible, it still seems like it's a good deal. Here's the instructions.

[Completed] [Q] Screen blackouts

My phone randomly (about once a week) hangs in a weird way. The entire device hangs, and the screen slowly starts fading into black, as if the power was cut off. After 2-3 seconds screen goes back to normal, and the phone resumes, like nothing has happened.
Also, sometimes the screen won't wake up. I can use the touchscreen, unlock the phone and reboot it (I remember where everything is), but the screen remains black. No backlight or color.

That looks like an automated reply lol.
Don't tell me that's how Assist works now.
On topic: I really don't know if I should seek help on device forums or if it's a cross device common issue. That's why I thought I should ask here.

[Completed] [Q] GT-N5100: Random apps crashing suddenly.

So, I got this problem with my Android GT-N5100 (running Android 4.4.2). It keeps crashing apps suddenly and randomly. I flashed it with Samsung's official firmware and since then it keeps like that. I know that if I factory reset it, it's gonna be happening the same way.
I was thinking about flashing Cyanogenmod but my device is currently unsupported. That is.. There are only nightly builds available for it at this moment, and it takes too many hacks to do so, then I'm not risking it. I thought also that it could be a memory overflow problem... Maybe.. But every time I open the window manager it seems to have plenty of memory left. I use to kill apps to avoid that, but no matter what... You got it.
Would someone PLEASE link me to a stable firmware free of bugs like that or tell me what the hell is going on and how can I fix this problem??
I'm tired of it... Believe me.

[Completed] [Q] getting my windows 8.1 laptop to correctly recognise my kindle fire2

Second attempt at getting some help, - perhaps first attempt was waaay too greedy for a noobie.
Lets start simple.
I have a bricked kf2
I now have a factory cable that, when plugged in , does indeed power up the kf2 in fast boot.
The pc acknowledges that a device has been connected, but no disk drive or portable device etc appears in "my computer" [xp speak!]
In device manager, the kf2 reports as "Otter2-prod-04"
Can someone please help me connect it to the pc correctly, in order for some of the utilities to be able to interact with it - ie. more chance of unbricking it
thanks in advance
Andy
