Hi, sorry if I shouldn't have created this thread..I just don't know where else to look for help.
I have had a very stressful afternoon reading about radio's and baseband versions. I have confused myself even more.
Basically I bought a Nexus S from a UK second hand store, I can't remember what the baseband was when I bought it. (Sorry)
I then proceeded to root the phone and flash a copy of Hellybean. I then instantly had signal issues and was never able to use 3g.
The highest connection I get is GPRS. Mt carrier is 02 if that is any help.... I then flashed a copy of CM to see if that changed anything, no luck!
The model of my phone behind the battery reads GTI9020. The baseband in the about phone section reads I9020AUCKF1.
Is this the correct baseband for my model or should I flash another?
Any help is much appreciated..thanks
Nick

Hello, I know there is another thread about this but couldn't find what I need. I just got my OPO from China yesterday and flashed CM11s. It works good but the signal is week and keeps going up and down. Like good signal and then almost nothing a second later. What can I do?
Would flashing another ROM maybe fix this? (Like regular cm11).

OK. Great. Thanks. Would you mind explaining this to me...I'm a newbie. So when I flashed cm11s...this doesn't effect my modem, I have to do this seperatly?
Which version of 11S do you have? I mean...25R, 30 or latest 33R.
33R has well enough modem but...it maybe doesn't work for your country.
First... You should to unlock bootloader, then install custom recovery. After that you will be able to install alternative modem from custom recovery.
You can read all information about that in the nearby topics.

Chinese models don't work with LTE networks in USA, may be the same in Canada. Also there might be a problems with 3G networks. This was descriped in official forums

Can unlock them, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-unlock-aditional-bands-qualcomm-t2877031
I know that can be unlock but I think that it is too risky. Any way may be he has nothing to loose

Anything you do flash on XDA is risky though. Its a chance you take just loading the web page.
But yeah, be very careful if you do unlock it. It's not hard but requires a lot of reading and paying attention

I don't think you can still check sadly...
Maybe the boot.img doesn't change through the firmwares but i'm not sure about this...
I would suggest you to do a rollback to get to the stock firmware
But wait, maybe a more competent person will have a better solution for you.
By curiosity were on Android 6.0 or 7.0?

Android 7.0. Will doing a rollback wipe data?
Yes, doing a rollback will wipe all your data...
I guess your phone was up to date?

It was emui 5.0 and Android 7.0, so yes.

Ok. So try this one and tell me if it worked

Didn't work :/
Sadly, I expected it a bit...
What you need to do is to find the latest firmware for your phone (supposingly your phone was up to date) and then extract the boot.img with HuaweiUpdateExtractor.
Otherwise you need to do a rollback and get back to stock firmware...
Also you can wait for someone with better acknowledge than me to help you.
Good luck!

Hi:
This is an old post, but just curious about the firmwares for frd-l14 at romfirmware.com. Is it a trustworthy site? Seems a little sketchy. Wanted to make sure before I download anything.
Thanks
So I know this is the wrong area but s6 forums are dead so I was hoping someone could answer a question here. What I wanted to know was that I am on nougat right now and I was thinking of installing a custom rom that was a lower android version. I am rooted and know all the steps to do it but was unsure if that would brick it by having a different version on it. And in case you wonder why it is because I wanted to use unlimited hotspot and have not found a way to do so with nougat but many ways to do it on older versions plus I could use foxfi. So please no bashing just a guy looking for answers is all. Thank you for your time.
Last thing I am on metro pcs but it is a tmobile version. I also do the stock 6.0 version to flash it
Anyone
Why don't you just try it if the worst comes to the worst just flash your latest Android version with Odin

Hello everyone, I'm a new member. I got an error when I upgraded to the latest firmware of SM-R895U. Since upgrading to this version, when I flip my wrist, it doesn't turn on the screen by itself and the sensor light under it stays on, I suspect it's a firmware error. Can anyone give me the firmware version of this watch 4 classic? I thank you all.

When you're thinking about reflashing/downgrading to GVK4 you're data will be lost anyhow.
So did you think to do a factory reset first?
AND it might not be possible to downgrade if bootloader has been changed when upgrading. Did you check that?

I also factory reset it but it still fails, I think no need to downgrade to GVK4 if someone has GVK6 firmware let me give it a try.

now I understand.
You want to reflash the same firmware.
Well I just searched for it using Samfirm_reborn and Frija but both don't find anything so Idk where to get it from.

You tried allready Factory Reset?
And for stupid test to check if Standalone makes same "phenomenon"... you know this?
To eliminate if some Apps or Settings or Phone or other Sowaftware creates this sideeffect...
Best Regards
