Looking for a kernel - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm running stock lollipop on 23.1.A.1.28 and i'm looking for a kernel that allows me to use governors like pegasus, elementalx, etc.
Is there any of them that allows that?

I do believe that only the aosp kernel sources are available to build from, meaning that stock would need to be reverse engineered. It's still early days and post lollipop / "M", so give it a while ?

Anyone Here Tried BFS patched kernel yet?

as i am very much aware of the BFS patched kernels aren't exactly strange in android kernel world these days
i intend to build a custom JB kernel for P3100 using the brain **** scheduler and likely some other patches i love in Linux ( like bfq, pf patch or tuxonice). Anyone here has / had any experience with it?

[Q] Can we use any ics/jellybean kernel for any ics/jellybean rom??

Can we use any ics/jellybean kernel for any ics/jellybean rom??? please tell me your opinion
Thanks in advance
Based on what I experience right now (flashed leaked jb kernel) I'd say that you can't but maybe it depends on phones and roms.
No ICS and JB Kenels are different and thus need to be specific to the Android version you are using. The case is slightly different with the verizon GNex on 4.2.2. They are still having to use 4.2.1 blobs since the device tree hasnt been updated with 4.2.2 blobs yet. This makes it to where most ROMs will still use 4.2.1 Kernels with the exception of the GSM OTA Port to the VWZ Gnex until the device trees are fully updated (assumign that happens). Cheers!

[Q] Is 4.4.4 better than 4.4.2?

I use a custom rom (Paranoid Android) which is on Android 4.4.4, but I don't really like it (mainly because there's not a dedicated settings for the PA features), so I want to change, but I don't really need a custom rom, since I use Xposed Framework, so stock Android is perfect for me, but I see that there's still only 4.4.2 available to download.
I've seen the changelog, but I don't really understand how importat are the improvements.
So should I keep using 4.4.4 (but a different ROM), or is 4.4.2 just as good?

CM11 kernel

Hello everyone! Because i was tired of lollipop performance and bugs on our phone, i decided to downgrade to cm11. I found this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/development/rom-unofficial-cyanogenmod-11-t3216484 . But i cannot find a compatible kernel for it without losing wifi, so i have to deal with the screen flickering and subpar cpu management of the stock kernel. Can someone help me finding a kernel or making the newer ones work with wifi?
Have you tried the 4.4 Xperience kernel? Pretty sure, if I remember correctly, that I saw in another thread it doesn't break WiFi and had no screen flicker on L bootloaders.
I have tried the lollipop version of the kernel (XPerience29-falcon-kernel-test.zip) and it remains stuck at the bootanimation(no flickering though). The kitkat version(3.4.104-XPerience-18.zip) still has the flickering problem, it is outdated and has much weaker wifi than the stock kernel. The xperience kernel was my guess as well but the versions that work are pretty outdated.
I need it too, I want to use MultiROM with SlimLP as primary ROM and CM11 (latest build) as secondary ROM, but I can't make it work with Xperience kernel. I don't know which version I have to use.
It will be better if I could run stock KK as secondary rom but it's only a dream.
P.S: I am able to run CarbonROM KK as secondary (latest niropa's build), but I don't like it..there are some bugs

OC on Android 6.0.1

Hey all just loaded Slim 6.0.1 on myTab 2 10.1 tablet. However I'm wondering can I OC the devicelike before when I ran the slim rom 4.2.2 I had stweaks running. Now it tells me unsupported kernel.
I just find the tablet a little slow especially on sites etc.
Any help or input is appreciated.
Download the kernel source which is OpenSource.
Add the OC interface (not sure if previous used code works).
Compile the OC kernel yourself.
OpenSource is great
