No, but there is a change that you'll get a bootloop thus you need to reflash an ftf file.
i did not had any prob like bootloap or erase.bt wen my frnd unlocked his xperia sp's booloader his internal storage got wiped and also a factory reset.dont know why that happened
Thank you both for your reply, that is the reason I asked in first place. Have heard both versions before, some have had no issues whatsoever some had to re-flash their FTF while some had their internal storage wiped and phone reset.
I will post my results in this thread when I'm done with unlocking. Mind you that may take a while since I really have phone setup perfectly with no bugs and good battery time. Rooted and still on 15.0.A.2.17 but as I said everything works like a charm and I am one of those people that subscribe to "if it's not broken then don't fix it" theory. Thanks again.

I will be getting a Sony Xperia E from Immix (with a SIM Card), and I am wondering if I am in the correct section of the forums. I have a few questions, since I had an HTC One V before, about the current status of this phone:
Has this phone been S-Off'd yet?
If not, is TWRP at least released for this phone?
I think that's it. I'll update with more questions as I get them
Thanks in advance,

S-OFF (unlock bootloader) in Sony terms is can be done by visit http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com and follow the instructions. make sure you test by enter *#*#7378423#*#* on dialer and then, tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.
dunno if someone already build TWRP for Xperia E, but there is CWM for Xperia E

Sorry, in [HTC One V] terms, S-Off not only requires the bootloader to already be unlocked, but then you can also edit the boot, radio and other partitions that are still locked while the bootloader is unlocked.
And that phone number is very helpful, thanks! I'll have to test it Wednesday, when my phone is supposed to arrive
And about building TWRP, I'll do it. I've built several pieces of software for my previous phone, aaaaand I hope it's the same process LOL

You've had a One V? Cool, there's one in the family, still stock, of course.
I think the radio and stuff can be changed even when the bootloader is locked , using Flashtool to flash the firmwares in flash mode. [citation needed] At least the baseband can be changed easily, probably other stuff too.
TWRP has been built for CM10 (actually it's a dual recovery; both CWM and TWRP) by hsr0. Others have been built too, but since our phones have no recovery image, the recovery has to be built into the kernel, and this is the most stable CM10 kernel, I recommend this one. Not sure if there's a stock TWRP, though.

LOL, no. I've just started my first project, and hardly anybody here knows what it is.
Before unlocking your phone's bootloader, be sure to root it (many guides to root it with a locked bootloader here) and backup the TA partition: this partition has some DRM keys that are removed once you unlock the bootloader. I'm not sure what they do, but you can check whether the DRM keys are there or not, so if you take it to Sony, you can reflash TA, unroot, and they'll honour the warranty.

Yes.
And also make sure, you've got a few ftf files.
In case you want to know in HTC terms: FTFs are like RUUs, but safer to flash - so much that we've been using Xperia E dual's FTF files on the Xperia E single.

You know, I've been liking you (and a couple of other forum members) more and more, as I read your (and their) posts.
Another tip: don't, ever let the battery level on your phone go down below 15%. Because when the battery goes down to 0%, it's pretty difficult to wake it up - I just had to wake up mine.

It is reversible using flashtool
However, it still will not restore TA partition so it can be seen if you have unlocked.
The only way to completely reset to factory conditions is to restore a TA backup, but the only way to get that is to root before unlocking

I do not want to talk about warranty's.
All I am saying is that in order to restore your phone to factory settings you need a stock TA partition. To restore a stock TA partition after unlocking the bootloader you need a backup of a TA partition taken from your phone. In order to make that backup you need root.

Again, as said numerous times in this thread, if you could be bothered to read the links or a quick read of the forum you'd know.
In my opinion, if you want to "mod" a phone, get a Nexus or a HTC One M8. Sony phones going all the way back to Xperia X10 are rubbish with custom Roms and "mods"
Right now, you cannot return completely to stock.

Anyone already tried restoring DRM keys? Is there no problem with it? As z3 got root just a while ago, I'm still a bit afraid to loose all the stuff sony gives. I have successfully rooted and backed up, so the question is only about restoring them.

No can do.
Google 'restore drm functionality' or find it here in the forums. Afaik when the drm keys are gone, they're gone. But you can get almost all of the functionality back (PlayStation -play everywhere or whatever it's called isn't there yet)
I have Rooted AND Backed up. I'm talking directly about restoring them. It is working on other Z devices, but is it on ours?

I've been keeping myself pretty informed on this...But haven't flashed it yet. I'm an ex-Samsung user with experience flashing tho.
Afaik the drm keys can not yet be restored for the Z3, just functionality. Older models, yes, but not ours yet.

I have not done it, but there are reports in that thread that it does. Why not give it a shot yourself.
Root on the Z3 only came in the last few days, you need to give the OP time to update....

It worked everytime.
So, don't worry.

Hi there,
It's sad to say, but I don't think that your issues depends on that (TA-Partition). I have unlocked my bootloader and installed L' version, and there' no issues at all.
I'd like to warn you - don't even think to flash any other person's TA-Partition, otherwise you'll face a unrecovable hard-brick.
Which ROM do you have pre-installed on your device?
If it's stock, give a try to flash any CUSTOM Rom, for example, Validus, Ressur., CM12 or any other.

use flashtool and your mobile's ftf and restore it to stock state with flash mode, if you don't know how a simple google search can fix this, however no, TA keys are only for bionz, x-reality, etc. they are nowhere near remotely close to your problem sad to say.. and no TA partitions cannot be repaired, however firmware can be.. your TA partition will automatically be rewritten aswell if you use an FTF with TA files in it, but to fix the DRM issue you will need the DRM patch.

I rooted my Xperia L c2105 with rootkitXperia(L) about 7 - 8 mouth ago, after a few days my device started to freeze and then restart. The worst part is reset loops. Opening and (I guess) check the wifi/bluetooth hardware (because of the hardware don't respond then restart again). Using the phone was not possible, so I flashed CM11 but my problem wasn't solved but the good thing is no more reset loops. I used my phone about 2 -3 month without wifi/bluetooth and sent it to the service. They said we solved problem and everything working well. Again I root my device with rootkitXperia(L) and flashed CM12 with ThunderZap 4.13. It is worked properly about 3-4 day and then the same problem realised again. I think this not a hardware problem. It may related with TA partition. Because in TA, there is info about Wlan/Bluetooth.
Also I find this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1252019

did you try through the flashtool ftf instead of through recovery? cause keep in mind FTF's reflash baseband/radio aswell, I'd also suggest if yes - to try flashing a cm 11 or cm 12 rom and see if the issue persists, if it does your problem may be hardware related, but not all hope is lost yet.. if on CM11/12 it works then i'd suggest just flash a stock ftf again over it and try again, also i'd try another FTF to rule out software issues aswell, It can even be regional issues.. what exactly does your wifi/bluetooth do, just not switch on or does it provide errors? if your on stock and haven't unlocked yet, don't forget to backup TA keys first though before jumping to cm.. [Edit] sorry i did not see your previous post, I don't honestly see how it could be TA related, if this was the case, restoring your DRM keys or even flashing an FTF with the TA files in would solve the problem, maybe you could try that, in my experience, Customized_UK version has TA in, this can be downloaded in flashtool aswell.. fyi just a sidenote, restoring another phones DRM will hard brick your device.. and personal experience tought me this one. lol

@HMZGUPUR another thing you can also try that may work, once you got an FTF with TA files in it, flash it once with UBL, then relock the BL and flash the FTF again, see if this helps.. if it works, you should be able to safely unlock again.

I didn't try to flash ftf throught recovery but I tried many versions of cm11,cm12 (nightlies, betas, milestones). Also I tried stock ftf for my country, europe and others. Nothing changed. It is very strange because sony service can repair without any hardware changes. But I can't.

I can't say i have ever owned an xperia L, the 3 devices i have are Z, Z1 and Z3, However it looks a bit strange mine generally has 2 TA files it flashes and i don't recall seeing simlock as one of them, The only direction i can point you in is that if you feel its the TA partition, I know that flashing an ftf with TA will reflash your TA partition over but wont restore your DRM keys though, However i have unlocked and wiped mine a few times over and upon flashing a full FTF i saw the TA is active again (so that the DRM patch could work again since i recklessly unlocked without backups), I doubt Sony service center would do anything special except do the very same thing, and that's flashing a full FTF over so that it reflashes TA/baseband/radio over and /system gets repaired, then they relock the BL. sorry mate best i can help with.. with the Z series TA is only responsible for bionz, X-reality, etc and i have worked without TA for a long time as im mostly using CM12, but i would say the rootkit sounds like it does something with your phone its not liking very much, I'd rather suggest that if you do get it repaired, try to flash TWRP/CWM and use the supersu-update.zip instead of rootkit to root your device, i assume you've backed up your DRM already so i don't see why a rootkit would be necessary..but i could be wrong too.

Thank you mate for your kind responds. I guess, I am going to give my phone to service again. I did not deal with it . Again Thank you.
I also experience this problem and i want to install @underd0g back up TA cause my friend can flash other backup TA, i don't want to take the risk but in other side I want this problem to be finished soon
Have you tried to flash ftf with reset customization option checked? I think it did something in TA values. But I'm unsure if it will fix your problem.

I tried everything with/without customization option, many different stock/custom roms, kernels, cwms nothing changed. I know it is very common problem about Xperia L. There are many complaints about that on the Internet. I don't know what I am going to do except Sony Service
i have the same problem and still can't turn WiFi on
please people help us :crying::crying::crying:

First of all, thank you for your respond, I tried but It says insmod: init_module '/system/lib/modules/wlan.ko' failed (No such device)
What is this mean ?
