Possibly, its not my area of expertise. Maybe some other people who have already modded walkman apps will do it.
But I can have a look and try, thats how you learn. But its not as easy as the keyboard, I imagine there will be lots of different apps and libs to include to make sure all the features work correctly...

Backup and try it, please report back if it works. I have heard it works on some samsung devices.
Also, if you share it on the S2 forum please link back to this thread.

Nice one, works great on my Xperia V ROM.

Is it possible to port the lock-screen from JB to ICS? I'd love to see that on my phone!

I tried to get that working but after each reboot it failed and reverted back to the original. I will try again over the weekend

Hi all,
Just realised that i dont have DDMS installed on my new works laptop so I cant take some nice screenshots of the swipe in action.
I know i can use the phones screenshot ability to take shots of the keyboard, but if anyone else who has installed this could do a range of SS for me with the settings, different layouts and a pic of the blue swipe I would be grateful. Just post them in a new post and I will link the screenshot bit of the OP to your post and give credits,

on my galaxy s2 4.1.2 rainbox rom doesn't work

Works great on my S3,nice work Greg :good: now voice button too works even better
suggest you to post this on s3 section,best android kb I've used so far

[Omar ROM]SMS not working!

I can't post in the development section so I post my problems here, sorry for that.
I flashed @Omar-Avelar's ROM over stock JB EU firmware but the 4.2 AOSP SMS app doesn't seem to be working for me. After I replaced it with deoxed Motorola's messaging.apk(deleted mms.apk and MmsDependencies.apk in /system/app/ in Omar ROM and set -rw-r--r--/644 permission for the newly copied Moto's messaging.apk at the same place) SMS could work again. Can anyone tell me whether my text messages were sent successfully according to the screenshot? Surely I never received any incoming messages as you see.
I really love the looking and some convenient features of the 4.2 AOSP SMS app but what should I do to have it work
BTW: In this ROM, Google voice search crashes when opened from either Google search widget or app drawer.

Yes, screenshot in the OP shows what happened for the SMS app in Omar's ROM. Stock Motorola SMS app works like following screenshot:

It's known issue. Some of people have problems with AOSP SMS app. If you read the whole thread with Omar's ROM you can find something about it. Nobody knows why does this problem appears.

Thanks for the information, I'll look further into it.

Has anyone got to the bottom of this yet? I have just installed Omar's latest ROM (3rd June) and I cannot receive texts. I tried installing shaftenberg's 'no limit' messaging mod instead but I cannot find the app - my old shortcut says app not installed and I cannot find it in launcher. The messaging.apk definitely exist because I can find it in root explorer or titanium backup. I know Omar gas hidden it somehow but nit sure how.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I really don't want to go back to the stock jb with moto blur. Thanks

You should have new shortcut in the list of apps. And try to search mms.apk or mmsdependencies.apk in your file explorer, that should be messaging .apk.

need an alternative to stock camera

I want replace my stock camera with any third party camera app
plz help me
plz suggest me an app that can able to replace my stock camera app. and also tell me how to do it. an app which has no FC problem

Try camera360. its a nice app. my personal favourite.
Also don't try to make people help you by telling them that you'll give em money. Here at xda we have come to help, not to become bill gates. Hope you'll keep that in mind the next time.

and sadly I am on 4.2 (a.k.a. jelly bean)

I really love "ProCapture" --> at least one of the BEST camera apps. ATM its 75% off. LINK

There is an app in the app store called Nexus 7 (official), for all devices that is the same as the original KitKat camera app, can't hurt to give it a go.:thumbup:

[Q] [ROM] [K.K 4.4.3] [Mahdi] Problems With SMS & Calls After Update on Nexus 5

Hi,
After updating my Nexus 5 Mahdi Rom to latest release , all incoming calls & incoming SMS have been abruptly stopped..
I am able to make call & send SMS, but i am not receiving any SMS ( text messages ) and no one is able to call me ( all incoming calls are blocked )..
Does anyone else the same issue ?
Can u please help me out & also suggest what other better ROMS can i use a an alternative to Mahdi ROM ??

Yes that's true because it is an Advanced surface and to accesses the default dialer. The app will facilitate you in the dialer your SMS, email, contacts, messages, talk on the phone. Once a connection is established engages the app on the dialer system .....
But that does not matter !!
