Sandisk Ultra Micro SD Card errors - General Questions and Answers

Hi Guys,
I am hoping someone maybe able to help me with my SD Card.
Its a 64gb Sandisk Ultra Micro SD Card which I used in my Asus TF700.
I formatted it to run the the CHROMI-x ROM as data2sd, but have now installed sbdags's new ROM and so no longer need the partitions on the sd card and so have tried to remove them initially with gparted - but I get an error along the lines of i/o error in gparted no matter what I try to do (either format or delete partitions etc).
I have also tried to used Diskpart, and mini tool and I cannot see the ext4 partition at all with these (just the 16gb FAT32).
Any ideas on how I may save the card please would be appreciated.

CWM won't mount mirco sd care :(

I have tried two differen micro sd cards both in fat32 with quick and long format, and they worked previously. Any ideas...trying to update my Prime
Have you tried formating with this program:
SD Formatter from the SD Association.
can't post the link. But you can google it.
I had the same problem with CWM and my SD card. Used that Program and it started working.

Cant Flash via CWM

Hi there everyone, I just picked up my Transformer today, and while Im not new to the whole flashing business (done it lots on my Galaxy S) I cant seem to get this working on the tablet. Ive managed to get it rooted and CWM loaded, but every time I try to flash a zip from my sd card its lot letting me mount the sd card.
Was hoping someone would be able to help me out
CWM only read files from the Removable micro sd card and not internal sd card.
Also the removable micro sd need to be in a fat32 format

Are certain microSD cards not compatible? I've currently got one in FAT32 format and it cannot read that either.
Some people have reported problems with using a MicroSD when formatted as Fat32 through windows. Try using an SD card formatting tool. Apparently when formatting an SD Card through windows it doesn't format it correctly.
Also some people say they had to try a few card before one could be read.

HELP! EXT2 partitioned microSD card cannot be read by laptop

Hi there. I'm using a Xiaomi Redmi 1S with 16GB SD card. Previously I had partitioned my SD card with 2nd partition set to FAT type, which I used to link apps to SD card using Link2SD. My SD card could be read fine by my laptop when I plugged it in to my laptop with a USB connector (i.e. I could open both my internal storage as well as external SD card storage). Recently I had to reformat the SD card due to some issues with my phone, and I hence deleted the old partition and created a new 2nd partition in EXT2 format instead. The 2nd partition is readable on my phone and works with Link2SD to link apps to SD card like before, however when I plug into my laptop, I cannot see the SD card storage. I can only see the internal memory storage. Please advise how to fix this, if possible without reformatting, as I am unable to move files to and from the SD card storage if I can't see it. Thank you!

Can't move apps to SD card (Links2SD not supported on this phone?)

I've been trying to move apps to my SD card using Links2SD, but apparently this phone doesn't support moving apps to the SD card. Is there a way to do this?
I also tried "linking" apps to the SD card (even though I'm not quite sure I understand what that means), but I'm getting an error saying I don't have a second SD partition. If this is my last hope, how do I create a new SD partition?
Running Resurrection Remix on 6.0.1.
Thanks!
Edit: found this thread on creating a second partition, but I'm wondering if it's possible to do it on the phone since I don't have a card reader.
I think you can use TWRP to partition the SD card... A ext2/3/4 partition is required to use Link2SD on any device
Note that you cannot use the card as adopted storage. Always set the first partition as FAT32 and the second as ext4, or the card cannot be read in some Windows PC's, I would recommend a minimum 32GB card and at least U1/UHS-1 speed rating for acceptable performance.

[Link2SD] SD card not recognized right

Hello,
I have a problem with Link2SD which I hope someone knows an answer for. My setup looks like this:
Hardware
Galaxy A3 (2017) - SM-A320FL
SanDisk Ultra MicroSD (64 GB)
Software:
Android 8.0.0 (A320FLXXS3CRK1)
Newest TWRP for my phone
Newest Magisk
Universal Init.d Injector v2.2 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/mod-universal-init-d-injector-wip-t3692105)
How I setup the partitions of the microSD
First Partition as FAT32 (Primary) with a drive letter assigned. Second Partition ext4 (also Primary) without a drive letter. MiniTool Partition Wizard was used for this process.
Also tried a few variations of the above like making the second partition ext2 or setting the first partition to active but in the end it all made no difference
Now the strange part ....
The partitions are properly detected when I connect the microSD to the PC using a card reader.
The first partition is also detected as external memory by android and I can use it like every other SD with one partition
Link2SD is also able to detect the second partition, mount it at start and link apps to it
The problem is that my PC wont detect the sd card when I connect the phone to it. When I reformat the SD back to one partition the SD card is detected without a problem (explorer showing the internal memory aswell the external memory)
[*]Sometimes the card is also shown as not detected in the default samsung file explorer even tho the apps moved to the sdCard are stil working
Does anyone have a clue what is happening here or what I am doing wrong?
Dear user
I am having the same troubles with my a320fl when attempting to use 64gb sd card partitioned with fat32 and ext2/ex4.
Once I enter the card in the phone and restart it doesn't register on the phone.
I hope someone else can help us!
I have the same problem, also with a 64GB Samsung Evo, could this be an A3 issue?
