I really liked samsung keyboard, specially with the theme I downloaded but actually I had to remove it and download swiftkey because ever since I updated to 5.1.1 I have a problem, I have 2 languages on my keyboard, Hebrew and English but when I am typing a message in Hebrew in messages, whatsapp or everything else, once you send it the keyboard is back to English and it is so annoying. Also always when I open the keyboard it's English no matter what it was before.
It looks like ****tiest ram management has screwed up the phone

Hi,
I have read several old threads about this topic, but in non was a satisfing answer. So I decided to pose the Question more direct.
Under Cyanogen 4.2.2 it makes no difference what so ever what I select as system language the Keyboard is always qwerty and the wordsuggestions "english".
So is there a way to change it, that I don't get, without loading and Market Keyboard.

Well, I had the same problem. I just installed TouchPal which is a free, great default keyboard replacement.

The Gingerbread keyboard does this nifty prediction and autocorrecting, but only in English. I swear I remember this working in an early Oxygen ROM, but now I'm using CM7RC4 and it's.. not. I can swipe the spacebar to change languages and get the "proprietary" norwegian ÆØÅ, but no prediction or autocorrecting.
I've tried other keyboard apps but I'm never quite happy with them.
Since this worked in Oxygen, surely there's something I can do to get it back. Any ideas?
I installed "Keyboard from android 2.3+" and Norwegian language pack from market. Kinda redundant, but it all works now. ^^
Is there any way to make the stock android keyboard work with Romanian? It doesn't have Romanian characters, no spell check, but LG keyboard, sense keyboard and all 3 party keyboards have them...
Any way to make it?
Anyway to have romanian language and dictionary on stock Android keyboard?
There is no Romanian stock keyboard. Google didn't bother to implement one.

Hi,
recently my One S had received the update to 4.04. After that my keyboard is QWERTZ instead of QWERTY. I tried to change language settings but I have only "English (Swiss) English (Austria) English (Germany) and none of those have QWERTY keyboard. How can I do?
[I have alredy posted this in a wrong section]
Same problem
This problem has affected me also. Apparantly it looks like we must both have a german hardware keyboard in our phones. First option seems to be to root the phone and change the hardware as per this existing link, but hopefully someone can tell us another way to do this without rooting?

I have installed swift keyboard for now which resolves it but I don't like it as much as the built in keyboard. Would be nice to be able to go back to qwerty without rooting phone. Anyone that can help?
Hello guys.I have mi 10t lite.Until today I was using TouchPal 2015 keyboard, which has t9 layout instead of the qwerty which gboard has.Tonight I've updated my phone to the newest miui version.(bad decision). So my good old keyboard stopped working. Is there a workaround?I want either a new keyboard with Phonepad layout,or simply to make this old good app to work with this new updates.Any info would be much appreciated..
Same issue here
Go to Themes on MIUI and search for "font", then change System Font for the Phone. it will restart the phone. Then install Touchpal version "TouchPalv5-5.6.7.4" (which is the best for me, without ads). u can use it
I decided to go back to Android 12 on my S20 FE and after a few other smaller updates since, it has been more stable and the battery life is actually better. I still miss my Touchpal keyboard though. Any ideas what I can do to get it going? I also keep a copy of 5.6.7.4 on my phone. Thanks.
I have a Poco X 3 Pro with ArrowOS ROM installed. since android 12 the send button in touchpal doesn't respond anymore. Is there a solution to fix this?
Check out 'Old T9 Keyboard'. It is a good T9 keyboard that I have been using for some time now.
It has predictive text, multi language support and some cool themes.
