[Completed] [Q] Anyone seen one that works? - XDA Assist

I have been trying without success to identify a good adapter to allow for micro USB charge and 3.5mm stereo audio feed through an apple 30 pin female. There are many offers but none that work as promised by seller. If anyone has a recommendation I would be grateful. Most offers look like included image.
Thanks.

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. XDA really does not support Apple devices. But you could try our sister site here, http://iphone-developers.com/

[Q] OBD that works with Sensation

Has anyone gotten an OBD solution to work on the Sensation? I like the features of torque and would probably use this app. I just want to find an OBD reader that works on the Sensation. I've heard HTC and Samsung implemented the blue tooth stack in a funky way and not all devices work.
I use Torque on mine. It connects via bluetooth with no problems.
Welcome to XDA cavorn! I see that was your first post, so I'll take it easy on you.
Please read all forum rules, stickies, and announcements.
There is a Q&A section for the sensation, so questions like this should be asked in that forum. It's a good question too. I'm wondering that myself.
Again, welcome to XDA. I'm sure you'll find a lot of help here.

P.S. Don't forget to use the Search button early, and often.
Elm327 off of eBay. Works perfect.
Oh, hardware wise???
I bought a USB/Bluetooth unit from Scan Tools (scantool.net)
Works with my Laptop and Phone
Thanks guys. I have a scantool.net USB OBD reader and I haven't had any problems with it so if the bluetooth one works on the sensation I'll pick one up.

Where to find a blue tooth developer?

Hello fellow xda member, I'm currently working on an invention and its pretty simple. A blue tooth speaker. Heres my issue, can someone please tell me where to go to either buy a premade bluetooth board that would work for this or somewhere ( a forum or site) where I can have the actual firmware and schematics designed. Essentially I have two options.
1.Find somewhere that sells an off the shelf bluetooth board for a speaker.
2.Find out who to talk to about having my own designed.
I apologize for probably using the wrong terms but I hope I got across what im looking for. Someone to build me schematics and the firmware that i can take to a manufacturer to have one made.
Thank you guys so much in advance, this forum is always a great help.
No body? Any help is greatly appreciated.

USB OTG and iPod docks

Has anyone checked this out? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2220108 It's a project started by another XDA member in which he reverse-engineered the 30-pin dock connector to provide functionality to our android devices.
Now my question to the guys here in this forum would be: are there any roms that support power over OTG? I have yet to have a purpose for OTG until I saw this which leaves me in the dark on the topic.
This is such a great project, let's see if we can get behind him and get support out! :highfive:

[Completed] Digital audio out over airplay (allstream)..

Hey guys
I'm currently experimenting with my htc and an Soundmate audio reciever to get an optical audio signal that a can connect to my audio processor I have installed in my car.
I'm using the allshare app to get the audiostream over airplay to the soundmate reciever.
It works well and I'm pleased with the solution.
But I have one question thou..
Does anyone know if the signal is transmitted before being encoded in the phones Dac or if it takes the bitstream after and sends it over the airplay?
Sorry for my bad English but I hope you understand my question
Regards

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
Your English is great for me, I just haven't used allshare so the concepts are a bit hard to grapple.
Please go ahead an create an account, so you can post in other forums. From there, you can ask your question in the > HTC One (M7) > One (M7) Accessories > Samsung allshare cast dongle thread (if I understand correctly).
Hope this helps, and good luck!
Thanks for trying to help.
I think my previous post was missing some valuable info
I might mention that with allshare I mean an app from the playstore that simulates/converts to "airplay language" so it is possible to connect and stream from your Android unit to Apple airplay devices.
In other words not samsung allshare, allthoug it's similar technologys and I understand the mix up; )
Thanks anyway

[Completed] Nexus 5 with a USB 3.0 monitor?

Forgive me if the question is outright silly...
I am looking for a portable FullHD monitor to use with my Nexus 5. While I do have and use Slimport->HDMI dongle, most portable monitors now provide only USB 3.0 (DisplayLink) interface. Hence the question: is there any chance the two could work together? I realize that Nexus would not be able to provide the power needed, so I would require something in between, like a dock or a powered USB hub, but could it possibly work? Slimport seems to be related to DisplayLink, yet I have not seen any Slimport->DisplayPort adapters.
