So my note 3 just died (-_-) - Galaxy Note 3 General

So 18 months after i bought my note 3 it just died , doesn't Charge , doesn't power on nothing . So a INR 47000 ($750) Flagship phone doesn't even last 2 years , I'm simply amazed by this **** . Getting it fixed will obviously cost a lot around 11k INR ( $170) which I'm in no mood to spend after paying a hell lot . Why cant they make phone which can last a few years , My nokia E71 lasted 5 years without a hiccup , my htc still runs after 4 years , Never gonna suggest Samsung products again after being a big fan of them from so long , Share your sudden death syndrome experiences and how did you people deal with it?

Sounds like the port is broken and is probably the reason why it's not charging. Replacing the port shouldn't be difficult, look for Note 3 teardown on YouTube.
You find spare parts on eBay or similar.

nope its the dead mainboard tried it with different batteries and got it checked

Damn that sucks

Really sad that yours died, but ONE single case doesn't mean anything and it never will. I personally have no intention to use a phone for more than one year, but I have seen so many phones of my friends and relatives and colleagues, which are lasting for over three years now, and not only lasting, with a new battery those phones are as good as new! And yes, before you ask, those are all Samsung, Note 1, S3 mostly.
In any case, try a different brand indeed, see if that suits your luck, LG probably is a good option. Heard their devices are really really durable, and long lasting :|

Agree. It seems a case of bad luck.
During the last four years I recommended Samsung phones to family and friends and was responsible for a few dozen phones sold by Samsung (should have gotten at least one for free from them).
I personally own three Notes 3, one Note 1, one S2 and one S3, all running fine even after being handled by my young kids (2 and 4 years old) and a after few ugly drops.
What I always say about electronic equipment is "To have a failure all you need is a working device". It may happen to anyone at anytime with no apparent reason.

Actually sudden death syndrome is pretty common, but if it happens during warranty it's a no issue, the problem is once warranty has ended. This was a huge problem with note 2 surprised to see it made it to note 3 too. And I've to use phones for atleast 2-3 years since we pay a lot upfront while buying them

Hmm. The same person replied to that topic with different usernames, and that's it! If this were a known problem it would have been pointed out by the XDA people already! A few batches of phones might have the problem anyway, that still can no way generalise things.

by chance did you use a overclocked kernel?......., hey theyre great but they do raise the SOC temps quite significantly depending on usage.
I prefer to stay within reason and choose optimized kernels and roms(linaro compiled) over overheating kernels such as lean kernel.(2.7 Ghz)
arter97's for example is strict with staying at or below the official max frequencies. I dont spend my time either plugging and unplugging theusb 3.0 port especially since I own a Myde backup battery.

i never overclocked and usually used it with power saver mode which maxed out the speed at 1.4 GHZ and had also undervolted sightly , it was running perfectly well untll this moment . I never overclocked actually , exynos are notoriously unstable when overclocked at-least with this phone

I completely agree that you can't blame an entire product line for something just because it happens to you once. I know A LOT of people with Samsung devices (that including the S3, Note 2, and Note 3) and I've personally never heard of or seen this happen. I have two Note 3's right now and they have been put through the paces really hard from no telling how many ROM flashes, and I haven't had this issue. Nobody has said anything about it that's running either one of our ROM's, and there is no telling how many people are actually running DomPop on their Note 3 now.
I think you just got really unlucky and ended up with a bad seed from the bunch. That sucks and I hope you get it straightened out soon.

ATM I technically could upgrade to note 4 however visiting their threads it seem calibrating either MYDE or Zerolemon batteries is a pain in the butt. Has to do something with a battery gauge and the note 4 isnt very good at dealing with this, also the rom scene isnt as good as note 3's. They do not have the mighty "arter97" backing them up yet.
I think it's safe to say I'm gonna skip the note 4 and wait for the note 5, but I definetly will not buy any device containing the "snapdragon 810", It's a flop on epic proportions

S3 and Note 2 were plagued by SDS or Sudden Death Syndrome. I have seen a few of them, die for no reason. There was an app in the app store to check if your unit was affected.

Best way to sell phones once it's out of warranty and buy new one

[Q] How well has your phone aged?

I'm currently looking for a new smart phone, I haven't settled on a carrier yet. My question is how do the handsets from different brands age? This is a topic I'm having trouble getting an answer for and while a lot of different phones have their own dedicated forums I've yet to find one that talks about how the various models hold up after two years of use. When I bought my EVO 4g in 2010, at the time it's big competition was the iPhone 4. And I still maintain that out of the box it was a superior piece of equipment. However after a year that changed. It became slow and accumulated numerous glitches and the battery life took a nose-dive. This was even with custom roms and kernels. Sprint gave me a replacement handset which I can only assume was a refurbished model and that too quickly accumulated it's own long list of problems. So again my question is how has your handset held up after 6 months to a year of use? Obviously if it got wet or took a hard fall that's different. But what problems have you encountered through regular use over time?

I have the samsung captivate (the first in the galaxy series). Like you mentioned noticed over time that my phone seemed to slow down with time, Recently I put jellybean on my phone and have noticed an incredible improvement. I think it all comes down to what's available to you. I don't know that stock roms from carriers will offer the "fastest" versions of their os, as more often than not there's crapware on them and other generic slowdowns.
I can't speak for other phones but I went from liking my phone, to disliking it, to again enjoying my phone

I've had my Galaxy S2 (epic4gtouch whatever) from Sprint for a little bit over a year now. It was on stock software until August of this year and has been on The Universe ROM since then. My phone is just as quick and awesome as the first day I bought it. I've never dropped it or treated it badly, so maybe that has something to do with it. The battery still holds a good charge too, which is nice.
Thank you

On another note, HTC's are awful, Desire HD deteriorated within three months, replacement did the same and my original Wildfire lasted six months or so

Reasons NOT to upgrade to Galaxy Note 3

Thought I'd stay this thread because of all the threads supporting reasons TO upgrade to the new Note. I'll start with my reasons not to upgrade:
1. Doesn't seem like much of an improvement from my current phone GN2. In all of the videos I've seen (and I've seen a lot) the phone appears to perform at the same level as my phone. There are a few software additions but none seem too advanced for my hardware. Perhaps the hardware is much improved but are all improvement really warranted? I mean, I'm holding in my hand a QUAD-CORE device with 2gb of ram and I almost feel like this is a little overkill. I rarely notice lag, can run any app or game I throw at it, and have never noticed any pixilation.
2. Not big on unwarranted consumerism. Much of the reviews I've seen are reminiscent of the iPhone craze; products are always marketed as being Must-have items. And if you don't have the newest and shiniest item, you considered light years behind the masses... I just don't buy it. My last phone, the nexus s, was just barely starting to show its age with the jellybean update and for a few years now, most devices have far surpassed my old Nexus S.
Here is one of the only reviews that didn't insist that I run out and buy the Note. It was kinda refreshing to read after being completely inundated by what seemed to be a very aggressive marketing ploy:
http://www.idigitaltimes.com/articles/19803/20130906/samsung-galaxy-note-3-vs-2-buy.htm
Your thoughts please
If I had the Note 2, I would agree with you. I think skipping a generation is wise. If you have a 2 year contract, it won't cost much to upgrade at that point and you will see a much greater improvement in performance and features.
I am upgrading from the Note to the Note 3, I skipped the 2 for most of the reasons you cite, however, I did ROM my Note to get ICS then JB so I didn't have to wait for Samsung and my carrier to upgrade the OS.
For those on the fence, consider changing the ROM before upgrading.
I don't have a Note 2 but I know it's a great device. If I did own one it would be a tough decision to upgrade. I'll be coming from a GS2 which has served me well. If you plan on keeping a device for quite awhile, the Snapdragon 800 supports LTE Advanced but who knows when we will see that in the US. I would guess it will be within 2 years though
Ask yourself this. Is your note 2 rooted and rommed? if so it might run pretty good and i had one for several months and one of if not my favorite device to date. Now compare a rooted/rommed note 2 to a stock note 3. about the same you may say. Now imagine a rooted/rommed note 3? Blazing fast. I dont "NEED" the note 3 but i felt the note 2 is lacking when compared to the note 3 now. And the screen you can so see pixelation on the note 2 if you cant i just dont believe that. Note 3 with 4.3 out of the box, s800, 3 gb of ram, bigger screen with better ppi and resolution, better s pen. I could go on all night but i dont see a negative to the note 3 except maybe the price but its the same price point as note 2 was so not much to say there

Skipping a generation does seem much more reasonable than going from one to the next. It just seems like hardware advancement may be outpacing the software. I remember being in complete awe over the first dual-core device. If it weren't for motherboard giving out in my core 2duo Thinkpad, I think I'd still be rocking that today. And now quad core....

In two years time we'll likely have a new Note on the market. I'm still waiting for the NFC chip in my ancient Nexus S to gain widespread appeal.

Yes, I'm rooted. "Blazing fast" you say? How much time can you shave off from .5 seconds? And how much money is each tenth of a second worth? There's no denying the hardware improvements. I'm simply not convinced that there's enough advancement in utility to justify spending the money Samsung is asking me to spend. And perhaps I don't notice pixilation because I'm looking at the screen from reading distance. If that's the case, I stand corrected.
While I do agree with your points, the main reason I am upgrading to the n3 from my n2 is the bigger storage defaulted at 32gb minimum (25gb actual usage) better resolution and better s-pen support. I understand not everyone has the money to spend on upgrades every year, but for those that do might as well have the latest n greatest!

I have the Note1, when the 2 came out, I said that there wasn't much worth jumping, but the N1 to N3 jump
will be a better option. I agree, unless something "game changing" happens, it's usually better to skip a version.
Well, that is unless you are an iPhone drone...ANYTHING that comes out new, 3, 3S, 4, 4S, 5...heck it hasn't

I have a N2 (which I love) but mine's surely different than yours if yours performs like the one in GSMArena's unboxing video. The amount of lag on the N2 pinch-zooming to display multiple home pages is obvious vs. what's shown on the N3. Same thing for using S Note and Action Memo (formerly Pop Up Note). Now if you're rooted and running a non-TW ROM that may be a different story. If you are, that’s great. But believe it or not people actually do buy the Note for its marketed productivity and creation features. And those features will perform significantly better on the N3 because of the advanced h/w and improved s/w.
Not big on unwarranted consumerism.

That's a valid point. Replacing my N2 with a N3 is a want not a need. I could spout some random commentary about "increased productivity" but I'm getting a N3 because the differences are sufficient enough to me to warrant the investment; even though it's purely discretionary. You and others may feel differently and that’s perfectly fine. There’s nothing wrong with the N2.

That's kind of funny. So you think Samsung should say in their marketing “the N3 is a meh upgrade from the N2 that only people who are irresponsible with their finances or easily influenced should buy?" I'm in marketing and spend every business day figuring out how to separate people from their money. If you're looking for honesty, integrity, and conscience you're not going to find it in sales and marketing. At least not at a for-profit company.
Here are links to two different threads that detail some of the differences between the N2 and N3. Whether they are worthwhile or not is subjective and I wouldn't fault either camp (keep N2/upgrade to N3) for their decision. And theads like this are swell and "pro" threads are too; as long as people provide their opinions followed by "for/to me." I'm very pro and you're pretty down on the N3. Neither of us is right or wrong.

I have a galaxy S 2. I'm loving this upcoming upgrade for myself.
I don't know what everyone's layout/plan is, but I have 2 smartphones and 2 feature phones (both of which don't use upgrades). So I can get an upgrade every year at subsidy pricing. So every year I upgrade and sell the old to neutralize the cost of it (some cases making money). Waiting would cause the old phone to depreciate too much and make upgrading more expensive. So I don't really upgrade based on features, more to continue advancing with little to no cost (or rebate).
Fact of the matter is if History repeats itself like it always does
People will buy it or upgrade to N3 anyways even the ones here saying skip it.
Its not the ram cam... or CPU its the ir blaster that's a big selling point I believe.
I think the lg g2 is more appealing as crazy and that sounds .

I have the note 2 and plan to get the N3 as long as the bootloader is not locked or if it is wait to see if it can be cracked.
Why would I buy it since I have the N2 (and an s3 & s4) you ask? Simple answer is because I can, and I dont say that in arrogant way..its just not a big deal to me to buy a few devices per year.i may pick up the nexus 5 as well..who knows lol.
The 2 things ( and they are minor) I dislike are cosmetic. The back cover is awful and I dont like how the spen just sticks out. On the note 2 its curved and blends in with the back...it looks sleek.
Other than that all good.

+1 to that.
I say that skipping a generation is a great and very economical idea, save your money plus really see the difference when you do upgrade.
However, If you have the money and do not need to justify the upgrade, then I'M right there with you. The Note series is just perfect for me, from music, movies, drawing, photoshoping, roms and games. There is no question that I will be getting the N3 and the N4 the N5....... and so on.
Thanks to the OP for posting. It is always nice to see both sides.
i also have a Gnote and i didn't get a Gnote2 because i reasoned the same as the OP ... not much of a difference.
now the Gnote to the Gnote3 will be a HUGE upgrade this phone looks sick :highfive:

Love my HTC one .. but
- i want the bigger screen
- I want the s pen
- I love the design of the note 3
- I get bored easily with phones
- I got my HTC one free cause I work for a carrier.
- Samsung phone hold there value better than HTC phones
- I fear support dropping off for HTC since they are struggling as a company
- I upgrade as often as possible so that my previous device hasn't depreciated much and it's cheaper to upgrade.

I love my Note 2 but I upgrade every year. Before that I had a Verizon Nexus; 2 completely different devices so you really notice the improvement right away. But this year I don't feel as excited about going from a Note 2 to a Note 3 especially after buying a Note 10.1 a month ago. I picked up a LG G2 on Sunday and I find it very nice. Smaller but just as powerful as a Note 3. After carrying the Note 2 around since launch day going back to a smaller phone feels nice. And if you think about it there is only 0.1" difference between the 5.2" G2 vs the original Note 5.3" display. So your not giving up tons in screen size but it feels more comfortable. You do however give up the S-Pen.
I've only had 1 day with the G2 but there's not many options. Sure I can get the HTC One for $49 or the S4 for $100 but those phones are reaching their mid life crisis. The phone I really want is the Nexus 5 but not sure if I can give up my reliable service for prepaid.
Having owned several Exynos (fabbed by Samsung) based devices including the Note II I appreciate the stability where it's rare or non-existent to experience a random reboot, app suddenly exiting, etc. Can't say the same for my devices based on Qualcomm fabbed by TSMC. If Snapdragon is the only US option then I'll probably skip Note III, wait for Note IV and hope for return of Exynos. A fast unstable device is useless to me like the Snapdragon based Nexus 7 (2013) that I'm experiencing overheating instablity issues with.

Going from an HTC One or even a S4 is understandable. It's the people that already have Note 2. Especially since the Note 2 has a unlocked bootloader right now. There should be customs roms based on the Note 3 ported over to the Note 2 pretty soon I'd imagine.
I have the original Note and reasoned that I'd skip a generation so the Note 3 is on my shopping list, but I don't think I'll go for it, at least not initially. I never buy with a plan, use only prepaid because I actually don't call people, I complement it with a surfing plan, but they don't offer those for LTE yet. Besides, my Note I bought outside Japan so there was only Samsung bloatware on it, Japanese operators load their phones with so much crap it is laughable, hence if you can't root and install a standard Samsung ROM, I happen to be happy with Touchwiz, then I'd be happier with what I have.

[Q] Invite - to buy or not to buy?

Hi there.
A simple question, I got an invite to buy a Sandstone Black OnePlus One today. I'd probably take it in an instant if it weren't for the yellow band.
Tell me, are the new batches any better or is one of the software fixes working well enough to make it not so much of an issue?
I haven't had any issues. I think there is a vocal minority with the yellow band. The touch screen issues are absolutely fixed it the latest firmware versions (not in stock yet, but in franco kernel)
There really aren't that many phones around with a yellow band...
That is encouraging. It seems there are a lot of people who are pleased.
Have you had any issues with the signal when on 3G/LTE/WiFi/BT? That is the only other area I can say I am concerned. I have an SGS3 fight now and the lack of LTE support is killing me. Well that and how crushingly slow it can be to multitask at times, it is actually struggling with XDA right now lol
I guess with all hardware there are risks associated, I had a perfect S3 but I know of people who have had dead motherboards and a line down their camera so it is not uncommon with a £500 flagship to have glaring defects.
I get better reception with my opo than my note 3.
Anyway, for the price, it can't be beat.
I have not had any issues at all and have owned the one+ since July now. The sandstone case is the only thing which bothers me, it's very easy for it to show signs of wear.
I just got 2 one plus one last week
No problem here at all. Highly recommended.
Will never go back to my note 3 again
Sent from my A0001 using XDA Free mobile app
let me say, all three of my friends, including me bought the OPO around late august and ALL of us got the yellow band, BUT after a week or less than a week, for some reason it all disappeared on ALL of our phones.
Interesting that you say it went. Most people said it didn't, but the software trick might do it then. It might even be slightly region specific.
So, I may bite the bullet.
I bought mine mid august and it definitely still has a slight yellow band at the bottom. But it does not annoy me at all. You can only see it when the screen is white and even then it looks like an effect of the application rather than something wrong with the screen. When the screen is any other colour, you can't see it at all.
If this is your only reason for not buying it, then you should get it now. It's a non-issue for me (and most other people I think).
And even if it is a problem, look into the Android development forum as there's a app that creates a filter to make the yellow go away. It's a workaround to the problem.
asking for an invite of 64gb
can i get an invite please i really wanted to buy one but i haven't invited till now
Well, I bit the bullet and did it. Went for express delivery so should hopefully see it soon. Wish me luck!
Good decision. I also went from an S3 to a OPO just last week. Other than the size, which is borderline for me, it smashes the S3 out of the park. Honestly it is pretty much flawless - the screen is fantastic (with no band for me), the performance on another level, and the battery is ridiculous - couldn't be happier with it, and the price is the cheery on top
I confirm that Oneplus is a great piece of kit if you are one of the fortunate to get a device with no issues. The one thing I don't understand is how people can even compare this to a Note 3. I have both, of course the Note is mine and the Oneplus has been a surprise gift for my wife.
She still didn't make the full transition to the 1+ and I am impressed with the specs sheet, however the Note 3 is better in almost every way. The only thing that someone can say about Note 3 is that the CPU is 1 generation behind as the 1+ uses the new 801 vs the 800 which is basically a +/-300Mhz OC if I understood that correctly.
With the Note 3 you get a removable battery, a microsd card and the same amount of RAM and screen resolution. Furthermore you get the S pen which is actually a useful addition, Samsung support (invaluable if you have any issues with your new gadget), and a ton of high quality cases that will protect it from harm.
I'm not saying that 1+ is not a great smartphone for the price, however I don't get people switching from a Note 3 to 1+ and criticising Note 3. Is the Snapdragon 801 that much better?
Just my 2 euro cents, take it with a grain of salt

Nexus 5 or One Plus One ?

The One plus just launched 5 days back in India ( I know, its 5 months late). A friend of mine ordered the phone and it looks like an absolute peach!!
Don't get me wrong, I've turned down a swap for a new Iphone 6 with my phone, with there seems to be something about the One Plus!! I love my phone, but is the One Plus better ?
All its specs are better than the Nexus 5 on paper, but I wanna know if you guys have used them both and whats your view on it. If I sell my Nexus ( which turn 1 yr on 25 Dec), it'll get the same price as for a new One Plus, so do the economics of switching make sense?
Many Thanks

Hardware wise the OnePlus is the better one clearly, software wise (the relationship between OnePlus and Cyanogenmod is kinda cooling off) i think the Nexus 5 has the better firmware. Especialy if the Oppo software (color rom) may be implemented on the OPO in the future, though development may compensate that off course. Me personaly i prefer a phone that i can buy instead of hoping on a invite and i don`t know how complaints and defects are beeing handled by the chinese company. Check out the OnePlus One Forum here on XDA for more info.
Oneplus' warranty return process is a bit of a joke apparently. @Theshawty can attest to that. That said, he's had both and would probably say get the OPO. Not sure what it will be like for AOSP though.

I have a few friends who have invites with them, so that's not the issue. Like you pointed I am wary of how the customer service will be. Never had to use LG's service though, haven't had to send this to the shop!!
Any color on how the device is to use ? Usually the hardware specs are only 50% of the job done, phones usually pop up with small problems when using them everyday that you don't get in the instruction manual!!
Would be great to hear some guys who have used both
Stikc with da N5 bro
I own both, both are great phones but 1+ is a better phone. Stock CM11 software works like a champ. No issues. Bigger screen, great camera, very elegant big phone, 64g memory. You can also run experimental lollipop but in US/Canada everyone has a problem with VM notification, kinda works in Europe. Glitches remain. Overall - get One Plus.
Obviously between the two, the one plus one is the better buy (bang for the buck)

Ive had the OPO and decided to go back to my N5. The best thing i found about the OPO is the battery life, its an absolute beast, but i am not a fan of the software on it. I know its cyanogen mod, but theres so many bugs and glitches that it just doesn't do it for me as a daily driver. The other reason i sold it is because of the size. OPO might only seem like a tad bigger, but i hated not being able to use it with 1 hand.
Ended up selling it, going back to the N5. Not happy about the battery life, but its stable, comes from a reputable company and warranty is great. Thats another thing, if you need to RMA the product you'll fine quite the wait.

I had to make the same decision a few weeks back and decided to go with the N5, reasons:
(1) Phone size: The N5 feels better in my hand, OPO is too big (my hands are not small )
(2) OS: I wanted to go with stock Android, hence N5 easier choice, whereas you can flash stock Android also to OPO I assume
(3) OPO itself: OPO just launched and its their first phone, hence customer service etc. is not that great (you got XDA though for help), the phone itself is better than the N5 hardware wise
At the end I chose the N5 with the thought that I normally use any phone 2-3 years and I would estimate that the One Plus Two (or whatever name it will have) will launch some time end of next year/beginning of 2016, hence fits into this timeline.
btw: also thought about N6, but same issue with size (and price tag)

I'd say the OnePlus One IF (and only IF) you can get a fault free version. Their warranty return process (and the whole "support") is a joke.
It would be a side grade at best. However if you don't one hand your phone and want something bigger it might be worth the swap. More battery and more storage space (64GB version) are the advantages, the SoC is a tad faster but nothing you would notice as N5 is already as fluid as it gets.
Thanks guys, I think I'll wait for a bit and try to use my friends One Plus for a few days. But seems the general opinoin is to stick with the Nexus
I'm using OPO n it's amazing earlier used Nexus4. as many said already 5.5in may be a bit big in size but after using a day r two u'll love the display of 5.5 in.
I'm fully satisfied with OPO. Don't know guys who said OPO is too big what they say about Nexus6

Me. So far. 128gb/8g burgundy. Find it runs normally. Smooth, battery seems OK.
Famous last words
It speaks volumes about the S22 Exynos devices that there is a thread with the title, "Exynos users without problems?".
it's common , problems to be heard first ... but let's see how many users don't...
GSMArena released their review of the S22+, they said Exynos performs great but its inconsistent and they assume its software. Looking at everyone's phone they are on January patch, so I would hope there is a big one coming this week.

I had something similar with my N20U and S21U when they came out, S21U was horrible the first two days, and Samsung pushed about 4 updates in 15 days for that device

It will work out fine you'll see.. I'm waiting for mine on Saturday and I know I'll be facing some stuff when I starting it
Had mine 24 hours and it's brilliant, no lag, great battery life already (40% = 4 SOT) and still learning, S-Pen is very responsive, not felt any heat of the device even playing Mario Kart DS in an emulator it was chill.
I know people want Samsung to fail, it seems they spend a lot of time in Samsung forums searching for issues to highlight but XDA has become toxic. 50% of the people posting in S21U and S22U don't have the phone and just waste time hating on it and posting issues they found online about it with zero experience of it. This is not the XDA I used to spend time in talking about ROMs, modding phones or just ways to get more out of your phone. Now all I see is why that phone of this chipset is crap, how bad battery is, how manufacturers will rue the day they dropped SD Cards, and unlocking breaking the warranty is bad. I'm done with the toxicity, enjoy you trolls and I hope you all one day find your phone so that you too can be positive rather than tearing other peoples choices down.
I am going to request my account be deleted and enjoy the phone I chose.

or people constantly nagging on how the SPEN is on the "wrong" side lol. I feel this post because I remember joining this forum way back with really old devices just for the fun of rooting. it has now become a place for trolls, haters, marketing experts, etc. Would be sad to see someone from the old school leave.
To clarify this post reason is to understand what is really going on. I have been waiting for the phone day after day and I have definitely been influenced by what I read here. But I really believe that after the first upgrade everything will be adjusted...
I use it for 2 days. No problem yet. My biggest fear was recording the calls. But call recording works perfectly. Battery average, but I believe it will improve.

Yeah, I remember that.
Today I've received my 12/256. So far so good. No fingerprint glitch, no YouTube w/WQHD+ glitch
Having issues setting up Samsung pay+, I try to add my natwest card to it as my first card but it says its already added. I can't add natwest card to normal Samsung pay because natwest doesn't support it
Got my S22U/Exy/512gb on thursday, feels a bit sluggish in some applications, like in the early days of counterstrike, when you accidentally had software rendering activated instead of 3dfx/opengl/direct3d .... some of you might know what I mean here
some further bugs:
the screen turns completely black if I scroll up or down a website, that might not have been completely loaded or has some gifs or embededded videos in them. If you scroll fast, you might have turned the screen off so that you have to turn the device back on with a button or double-tap on the screen (even this might not work then) , if you scroll slower and the screen turns black, it might come back to normal if you stop the scrolling.
very strange behaviour, hope(and pretty sure ) samsung does update very soon.....
if not... i'm all in for a root and custom rom
Mine is laggy and my s-pen keeps jamming too!
Absolutely fine so far. I have the 512 GB one. The battery seems to be going a little bit faster than the S21 Ultra, but nothing too bad

Hi. I will get mine in a few hours What are you using for call recording? Built-in or an app?
Given that only a few users report this and the lines remind me of bad VRAM overclocks on desktop GPUs, I assume it has something to do with silicon lottery and that some RDNA chips are pushed too far. I think Samsung will release an update either bumping the voltage (probably not) or reduce its clocks slightly to fix it.
It is quite likely that it is hardware related since with software there should be more devices being affected at least in a particular use case. But nothing software wouldn't be able to fix. Please note that this only an assumption (!)
