Disabling double tap to wake? - LG G Flex 2

Is it possible to disable the double tap to wake feature? It keeps waking up in my pocket when I walk.
H955 5.1.1 not rooted.
Thanks in advance.

It can be done via shortcut master but it needs root
Search "knockon" in apps and then choose
com.lge.Touch.KnockonSetting and use it as favorite. Then run it and it opens a menu where you can enable-disable.(both double tap to wake and double tap to sleep)
I dont know a way to get this setting without root so you need to downgrade in order to get rooted. Normaly the setting should have been in gestures menu

Found a way to do it without root.
Just download an app called 'Activity launcher' and find 'knockon' under 'setting'.
Seems it does a lot more than just disabling knock on feature.

[Q] No smart lock?

I updated from KitKat to lollipop via OTA and am using a pin number as my lock screen. However I have no option to enable smart lock. Anyone know how to fix this?
PS. I won't be reflashing lollipop if I can't fix this

I noticed it didn't appear immediately after the upgrade to Google Play Services 6.5. Have you tried a reboot?

Any resolution on this? I got sick of waiting for my 2013 nexus 7 to get lollipop so I did a sideload. Everything works fine I just don't have any smart lock options. I've tried uninstalling updates to play services then updating via google play, rebooting, then sideloading the current version of play services and rebooting and I still have no smart lock option...
Just seen this. No rotation

If you've got lollipop installed, but don't have the Smart Lock option under Settings > Security, you've probably not enabled it as a Trust Agent. Go to Settings > Security > Trust agents (down at the bottom) and you should see Smart Lock (google) with an on/off switch next to it. It needs to be set to on for you to see the Smart Lock option. Once it's set, you can use the a device (bluetooth or NFC), your location or your face as a method of bypassing the lockscreen without entering the PIN. Hope that helps...

Disable security like PIN and Pattern?

My niece has a phone but she keeps forgetting the PIN or combination. What would be the options or instructions to disable those features and leave the Swipe option only?

settings > lockscreen > security (?)
"all i can really do , is stay out of my own way and let the will of heaven be done"
I mean disable those features so she can't choose it again in the future that Swipe is the only screen lock option to choose.

sorry , not that i'm aware of. hopefully someone else will chyme in

There are several ways to do, I don't know which one you prefer, the easierst would be to download the 'SMS bypass' (Cerberus or any other similar app can also do it but for just one feature SMS bypass is all what we want) which needs to be running in the background, that allows sending an reset sms from another phone e.g. '1234 reset'. After that your phone will be restarted and the pass will be reset to 1234.
But I not recommend to entirely disabled it generally because this would be an open door for other attacks.
I wouldnt mind. Its just a tablet full of games and ebooks. If theres a way to remove those features.

If she keeps turning it back on she may be just messing with you on purpose. -_- may be you should talk to her about that.
Not aware of any way to achieve that. Maybe you should choose "face recognition" as access module? She won't forget that credential

Updated - DTTW worse

I installed the update and DTTW doesn't work to turn it off from my home screen. However if I go to another screen it does work - ridiculous.
It does work to turn it on.
So for me it's worse than it was before the update, when it pretty much worked all the time and from any screen
Mine seems good.
Mine works perfect now. I don't think there was ever an issue with double tapping to turn off the phone. It was always waking it that was the issue, and now it's fixed. You're using the default launcher, right? Double tap to sleep only works with the default launcher.
Also, your thread title says DDTW (double tap to wake) is worse, but in the post you say it works fine.

Yes I'm using the default launcher. The initials were meant to refer to both wake and sleep double taps. As I said, double tapping to sleep on my home screen does not work but on other screens it does.

You have to double tap an area that's not covered in widgets.

New Verizon update booked my fingerprint unlock

Title says it all, Verizon update at the beginning of September left me unable to use fingerprint unlock. I know it is a software problem because I can still use my fingerprint for web sign in and purchases. When you try to unlock it says "use pin instead of fingerprint due to security policy" anyone got any ideas?
do you use another app to lock your device such as a double tap gesture in nova? if so that is why I had same issue and disabled the gesture and all works fine now. You can test it lock with the button and it asks for fingerprint there you go.

Double tap to wake doesn't work on android auto?

Anyone using Android auto? I've noticed that when using it, the new double tap to wake feature doesn't seem to work. I tried all the different screen on settings in the app, but it still does it.

It works for me ....do you have it enable in gestures ?
Yep, doesn't work for me either in Android Auto. Double tap and lift both enabled in Moves and working except in Android auto. Was wanting the double tap as my phone mount obscures the power button.
