So today, I was making a long checklist using the Google Keep app on my Nexus 5 when the screen suddenly went black. Nothing I did could make it go back to normal. Holding the power button brought up the "Power off" option, but even after I pressed it and rebooted, the problem persisted. I later tried to start the phone in recovery mode and clear the cache, but neither was able to solve the problem. I know the phone itself is working functionally because I got an LED notification light. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
nexus 5 turn dead after wipe data by recovery
Please help me,
Google nexus stuck on "google" logo so i went in recovery mode and wipe data for factory reset it was took 20-25 minutes after wipe done, i select reboot option and after this nothing happened. devices was not turn on so i tried battery charge by charger but nothing happened no notification light no screen after that i remove battery from device and charge it by battery booster but no results.
After this i tried all key combination to get in recovery again but there is no results. after this i connect device to computer so computer is searching for driver "LGE Android mobile" if i pressed the power button some seconds then computer search for driver of "qhusb" drive found.

hi guys,
i just god nexus from a second hand store. i want to hard reset it but it does't.
it is stuck in the screen where the little green guy with the triangle with an exclamation mark next to it. please help.
is there a way to load the factory rom manually?
(i know how to jailbrake and downgrade an iphone so this should not be so hard)
Hold volume down and press on once you see menu with recovery
press volume again and you will see option for clear storage - thats what you want
that is what i have done already. but why is the mobile preventing me from hard reset ?
I have been hanging around the XDA forums (as well as every other forum I could think of) and have been unable to solve my re-set problem.
I got my Nexus S about a week ago and decided to unlock it. That went well, no problem. Then I decided to root using Superboot - that did not go well. Now my phone is unresponsive, just sits on the Google name with an unlocked padlock on a black screen. I can get into fastboot mode by using the volume up and power button if I do this right after replacing the battery. I cannot seem to go anywhere else. Once I got into a menu that would let me install from sd card, but none of the options would install. I followed the following directions to see if I could do a hard reset:
Hard reset Nexus S using hardware buttons
This option is recommended if you are unable to access the options via the Android OS.
1. Turn the phone off by pressing and holding the Power button for about 2 seconds, the tapping Power off. Alternately, you can pull the and replace the battery.
2. Press and hold the Volume Down button while pressing and releasing the Power button.
3. Continue to hold the Volume Down button until you see a menu appear.
4. Now tap the Volume Down button to scroll down to the Clear Storage option.
5. Press the Power button to select Clear storage.
6. Press Volume Up to select Yes.
After a few minutes the hard reset process will be completed and you can reboot your phone to factory default settings.
I never get to the clear storage option, although I have tried data/factory reset and wipe cache. I can get to the android with the triangle and exclamation point but that will just sit for ever, and removing the battery at that point and then rebooting does not work. It just takes me back to the Google and the unlocked padlock. FWIW - my phone updated right before I unlocked it. I don't think it is bricked, but I sure can't get passed the Google name or the Triangle/android.
Thanks for any help.

I've the same problem now - did you ever resolve yours?
Here is how
Power off by removing battery
Hold vol up not down and power,
release power and you get Fastboot mode
vol down to recovery and click power
You get the screen with Android + triangle
Click up and Power again for few seconds
you will get the 'Android Sys recovery'
However if you have my problem 'error in loading the built in SDcard memory this wont help.
The only way i managed to get it to work some times although not now, is to reboot the mobile while it is connected to a PC, and load the PC at the same time.
However this time i am stuck at Google screen
hi guys

Got a weird problem with my Photon Q
Occasionally the phone will freeze up and reset - tried narrowing this down to a possible app crash but it doesnt seem to be any offenders
Occasionally the phone will freeze and turn off - after this it will respond to no inputs (power button has no effect, plugging it into the computer or wall charger will not lightup the charging light)
Battery life seems to be ok - nothing drastically different than normal
Once the phone is dead the only way to get it to turn on again is to hold volume up and the power button which gets me to the screen with the little android laying on his back with the exclamation point
At this point I do a soft reset (power button plus volume down) and the phone resets and turns on.
Hardware issue? Would a factory reset possibly fix this? I was thinking about a custom rom anyways.......
I have same situation with one with my phone, but was with "sim modded phone " and that was a fault of bad conneciton with mb and sim slot ( i add capacitor and problem was gone )
regards
My phone has been stuck in a boot loop all night. I tried doing a factory wipe but that didn't change anything. I get stuck on the second Motorola "M" boot screen, and then my phone will just reset. Any help is appreciated!

I did, but still no luck. I wiped the data and cache a few times, no luck. It just freezes on the animated Motorola logo screen.

You seem to have thread jacked, but I would suggest using RSD Lite to restore a completely stock setup.

I tried wiping the cache, which worked for me one of the times I got stuck. On the recovery screen (with the little android dude on his back), press vol up and down together. It will bring up a menu that will give you the option to wipe your cache. I don't know if this will have any adverse affects, but since I was desperate to get my phone back up, I tried it. Good luck!
Suspected problem: Bootloop
It all started when I connect my phone (Garmin-Asus A10 (v5.0.82 (updated with GarminAsusPhoneUpdater_Telenor_v2.0.3.exe of denmark))) on laptop through USB cable, the USB slot looks slightly damaged already upon looking at it, after connecting the expected to be happen is that the back-light will turn on, but what happen is that the phone has no response from it, I try to press the power button still no response, I removed the battery and bring it back and try to turn on again the logo appears (without vibrate which is supposed to be present in turning on my phone) then disappear after 7-10 secs.
It's already stock on the logo as I turn it on, the moment I pressed the power button the logo appears for about 7-10 secs then it disappear, also when I removed the battery and put it back the logo appears without pressing anything and disappear again after 7-10 secs.
I try to wipe the data through Volume Up + Volume Down + Power Button the ** WIPE USERDATA ** appears but then after a few secs it disappear again which is supposed to last for about a minutes.
And also I still can go to the **USB POLLING MODE ** through Volume Up + Power Button but seems like there is nothing to do with that thing.
I know it will be easy to fix this with the use of Garmin-Asus phone updater but it requires the phone storage which is so impossible to access at this point.
Hope you guys can help me with this, I badly need that phone.

Updates:
I can already open the phone and go to the home screen and menus... etc., but only when I close/cover the 1st metal/copper of the battery (back view (- to +))., but then I get an error saying that "The installed battery is not compatible with this device"
Upon doing this the phone is keep on rebooting, even if I already turn it off it keeps on turning on by itself, also I can't use any network at this point.
I already formatted the phone using master clear & **WIPE USERDATE** (Volume up + power button) still got the same problem.
And also updated with 006-B1243-00.update (The last .update file I used to update my phone (V5.0.82 DN)), upon rebooting after verifying the .update file it just blink twice then the update stops already at that point.
Updates 2:
Physically there is nothing wrong with the phone, I can still use the phone but as I mention already "only when I close/cover the 1st metal/copper of the battery (back view (- to +))." everything works fine except for the error "The installed battery is not compatible with this device" the red with "X" battery (Screenshot-1434948958913)
Also I notice something from my storage the "System Volume Information" (Screenshot-1434949331146, Screenshot-1434949336619, & Screenshot-1434949345666), I'm pretty sure that I haven't seen yet that before, I deleted the folder still it comes back.
Also once I connected my garmin phone to my computer the USB connected thing (Screenshot-1434949876071) don't disappear just until I restarted the phone.
Thanks in Advance.
Hi! I need help. My phone just died on me while I was browsing the net. Now it won't turn on, and it doesn't even respond to the charger.
I tried holding the power button, volume down button and the first time I went for the shut down option. And then, tried turning it on, it turned only to show the google logo and then display goes black again.
Next I tried the recovery mode, pressed power button, volume up, still no response.
I have no idea what is happening and what to do.
It's nexus 5 forum. Not 5x. Move the thread.
try powering off the phone, booting in fastboot and flash latest factory image with full wipe. Might help
My tablet was in my bed and I went out. When I came back, it's in infinite loop. Other times this has already occurred and I fixed it.
So, yesterday, I tried to do this. But when I selected "Wipe Cache Partition" in boot menu, the process was taking too long and seemed to be freezed. So I pressed the Power Button and turned off the tablet. After I tried to turn on the device again, but anything happens. No boot, no Download Mode, on the Android Menu. Nothing.
I already put it to charge, tried to connect to PC, but nothing happens (the PC not recognize anything). No screen signal or noise. When I put it to charge or connect to PC, the device warm up to bit.
I already opened the device, checked the battery status, with a multimeter, and did a manual charger. But still, nothing happened. (The battery is OK)
Is there anything that I can do?
I need my device and some files. In my city haven't a place to Advanced HDD Recovery, and the Samsung's Technical Assistance is in the capital.

Do you see any light coming from the screen when booting? The screen could have failed or the light. You can try to take a flashlight and put it on the screen to see if you see any boot animation when you turn it on. It sounds more like a hardware issue.
Have you tried to plug the tablet into a computer? You maybe able to recover the data that way. Samsung might be able to repair or recover the device, but if it is out of warranty you may have to pay for the service.

I don't see anything! I'd plugged into a PC, nothing happens! I think only at Samsung Technical Assistant... But I dont have warranty anymore, so have to pay for this!
