Hi everyone, I hope someone can help with this.
I have the Galaxy S duos which has problems with connecting to data for both sims. I am trying to flash a later formware in the hope that it is more stable. I have the firmware, kies, odin and drivers.
The problem is that the phone will NOT go into download mode. When I press and hold the vol down/menu/power buttons I go into a Factory mode instead of download mode - the following options are available in this mode:
Full Test
Item Test
Test Report
Clear eMMC
Reboot
When I press and hold the vol down/power buttons I go into Recovery
Is there anything I can do to get into download mode??

I'm having the same issues and I need to update my csc is S7562CHNAME1

i don't think that u might be able to do anything without download mode.
i suggest contact your nearest service center

i think ur phone is not the orginal one!

i face the same problem . . . it connected to chinese box , it was a high copy phone
100% solution
just press and hold volume down+home+power at a time
and when device vibrate just leave all keys
then download mode will appear then just click on volume up
but its important to leave all key when device vibrate

I have the same problem with my phone , but when I checked the IMEI of the phone by site imei.info, I saw that the phone is a copy ...
Step 1 – Turn OFF your Galaxy S Duos.
Step 2 – Make sure your phone is unplugged from the USB cable.
Step 3 – Now press the following keys on your phone: Volume Up + Home + Power.
Hope this helps......bcz it works for me and all other, and might not work in some cases like......Replica version etc
its not original its china high copy if you choose lear emmc it will be format try it if its dont work with you search for a firmware to youre mobile .......

Right so i have this samsung galaxy tab 2 and the problem is that when i hold the power button it does nothing at all. When i press the power button and volume down, it brings me into odin mode. I have tried to get cwm and get cyanogen mod or something. What can i do? Thanks in advance!

but it is saying unauthorized device I tried the code *#7284# not working.
It is Rooted and I have Busy Box installed.
When I press Down + Home + Power it says Downloading ... Do Not Turn Off Target!!
I can not even make selection it stay long time like this.

Welcome to XDA.
When you press and hold volume down+home+power and it gets to the caution screen, you press volume up to enter download mode, then it takes you to the "Do not turn off target" screen. This is download mode, it is used to flash the device with stock firmware and other files.
If you want to connect to adb you have to be in recovery mode(volume up+home+power) or you have to be booted into system.

My phone stuck on safe mode and I am not able to disable it, tried many time (Restart Phone & Factory reset), but it didn't work.
So I decided to re install new firmware on it. I downloaded Odin but i face another problem.
I pressed the power + home + Volume down to get into the mode... Then i got the following message
It ask to press volume Up to start download, and volume down to cancel
but the device is not responding here, it stuck on this message and not responding to any button. and doesn't appear as "added" on Odin (The mobile hangs on this page)
The only option that works (I press power button again for long time, so it restarts)

I have a problem, today I install the combination file to my SM-J410F Samsung device but it not work I get %80 and failed and write something (like custom binary fused ) but after that I want to download another Stock firmware but I noticed that it cannot into download mode and when I Press Vol up + power it only show the Samsung logo and turn off, I try many times but it's something.....
I also use jig USB to force the device to download mode but it doesn't work.
Please help me it's very important to me. I Appropriate your bits of help.

You are hardware bricked, your Samsung has a hardware component that, once tripped, will not let the device boot.
You tripped the "fuse" by attempting to flash TWRP or some other custom software not approved by your manufacturer or carrier.
Next time, do better research before attempting to modify your device.

Its volume down+home+power if the device has a home button.
Or volume down+power if the device does not have a home button.
Or a USB jig
If none of these work to get the device booted into download mode, the only options left are a JTAG/Riff/Octobox service or replace the motherboard.

guys my problem is that my sm-j410f doesn't have home button but I tried many times with another VOL-, Vol +, power, I tested all possibility it doesn't work and also I use a JIG USB it's worked on two devices like galaxy s5, and galaxy s6 edge but when I use it form J4 Core if phone power off it cannot turn on even if I press power button , and if I power button when See Samsung logo and insert Jig USB it power off the device immediately,
this problem happens to me while I want to install Combination rom using Odin to my phone.
Guys, please help.
