[Q] Remove carrier homepage - General Questions and Answers

Hi
I'm just wondering if there is a way to remove the carrier homepage on the internet app, I have removed the carrier boot screen and carrier apps on there but this homepage still stays on there after a phone reset. I want to remove it from the rom if possible. I know I can just easily set it to a new homepage when the phone is reset, but I just wondered if its possible to remove it /replace it completely.

remove carrier branding
did you ever work out how to do this ?
i am trying to do the same thing on a samsung s4 (19505), previously with vodaphone australia, i HATE the stubborn internet homepage which i can't seem to remove.
i have rooted it and was considering re-flashing the firmware, but to make matters worse i have a mac, not PC and i don't think odin works with mac ?
any help would be appreciated
cheers

[Q] HTC apps missing from marketplace??!

I bought the HTC Titan from AT&T and unlocked it for use here in Toronto (Canada) on Telus Mobility. On intial set up I had access to the HTC apps.. I think even the Telus exclusive apps showed up later which was cool. Anyway.. the phone went bonkers and I had to hard reset.
Now I have no access to HTC apps at all. If I try to get them through the HTC hub it says they are unavailable to my region. Wrong! I had the HD7 before this and had access to them as well.
I've done a few more hard resets.. One time I even had access to the US only apps when I shouldn't have. But no matter what I can't get back the HTC apps in the Marketplace. I tried messing with my region settings in settings.. no change.
Could this have anything to do with me already syncing with Zune last night.. possibly causing a region issue? Perhaps I should do a hard reset without the sim card in and try to access the marketplace via wi-fi only?
Any suggestions??
iam testing...
I did some testing as well last night..
Seems the only way to resolve the issue was perfroming a hard reset without any sim card installed AND by installing apps by wi-fi.

Hi it's being factory reset . Any way beside the one you mention
Can't think of anything if it has been factory reset and the SIM removed
Was FRP Lock not enabled?
If it was, and they don't know much about the S7, they might be locked out of the phone too
Your carrier should be able to block the phone from the network using the IMEI so it is useless as a phone to them even if they do get back in

Need help with SIM Network Lock (SM-J700M)

Alright, so, last weekend I got a new Samsung Galaxy J7 with Android 6.0.1. The first thing I did was rooting it. It was all going fine until I accidentally unticked the "OEM Unlock" option on Developer Mode, so when I rebooted it, it had an FRP Lock.
I used a Latin American firmware to be able to boot it again. At boot, there was this "entel" logo, and this seemed to have changed my IMEI because my phone always said Network Unavailable. I didn't check the IMEI prior to rooting it, but I noticed the printed one and the one shown on the phone weren't the same... but this isn't the real problem.
Originally, the phone was unlocked (no specific carrier/operator holding it), and I somehow "fixed" the Network Unavailable thing by erasing the efs folder on root... well, it was a longer process than just deleting it, I backed up the folder and copied some files (some might know what I'm talking about). After that, the IMEI was the same than the printed one, but, my phone is now network SIM locked!
I have to input a code to unlock it. I did some googling and apparently only the carrier can give it to you, so I tried 3 different carrier SIM cards to see if any of them were the carrier's, but none of them worked as accepted,and I don't know what carrier could it be... I'm even worried it may be a Latin American one (from Chile or Argentina maybe since that's where the firmware used was from) and I won't be able to get it.
I know there are websites to get a code, but I don't want to pay so much and risk getting scammed.
I tried to see if "entel" was a carrier to unlock it, but it didn't help.
Also, when I try to choose a network on Mobile Networks settings, the only available one is AT&T (which I don't use/have a SIM of), but when I accessed their website to unlock, it said my IMEI wasn't registered as theirs apparently.
Then, I also tried using Samsung's Smart Switch application on PC with the Device Initialization option, but when I try to use the firmware from that I get a SW REV. Check Fail.
I might be wrong, but I feel that since messing with the system files/root was what changed it, maybe I can fix it the same way with no unlock code or carrier help.
So, does anyone have advice, or know some other way to reset it? Or do I really have to go get it fixed/unlocked somewhere?

(I accidentally posted this in an unrelated discussion so sorry if it appears twice!)

[HELP] Debrand/Remove Useless Carrier Stuff

Hey, I'm trying to desanitize my device from the useless carrier stuff. My objectives are the following:
- Stop recommending carrier related apps;
- Stop Chrome from opening the carrier page (or even suggest the link as homepage) every time I open it;
- Remove the carrier logo when turning on/off;
- Overall, totally yeet any "default" thing that's not from LG.
I've found a "carrier" folder on the root which had a bootanimation.zip that was the carrier logo, deleting it or replacing didn't work, it just gets restored after reboot. I also tried to flash a "unbranded" rom, but didn't work.
To be really fair, I don't even know where to start, since every carrier removal script/guide are from somewhat known ones. The one I'm having trouble with is called "Vivo", a Brazilian one.
My device is a LG G8S. If someone have any clue of how to help me I will be really really thankful.
So, I've managed to remove the Carrier logo animation by deleting the bootanimation.zip located on data/shared/cust/. But I still didn't manage to solve the rest, I'll attach a short recording to show some examples of what I want to completely delete. I'm not sure if flashing a EU "Brandless" ROM will fix that because I've flashed a supposed brandless one from my country (iirc: G810EAW10a_06_OPEN_SCA_DS_OP_0726.kdz) and it didn't change a thing.
