[Q] No service, IMEI, Baseband, Battery Level

So I've searched around, upgraded Kernel/ROM with Bionix/Dragon, downgraded to try the LG flashtool and just about every other method I came across in my last 2 days of searching this site (which has been great fun, don't get me wrong!)
Anyways, My brother had the phone, worked, then stopped working so I thought I'd put the powers of the internet to good use.
The phone won't register a IMEI when you dial or through the LG Tool.
It has no connection to T Mobile (tried airplane mode, resetting APN ect.)
Shows "unknown baseband"
Shows ? inside the battery symbol
Also, the LG tool/KDZ both fail to update the baseband.
I found the factory firmware BIN(s) but noone has seem to been able to find a way to flash it/them to the G2x.
My brother had taken it to Tmobile and they couldn't figure out what was wrong and had redirected him to a repair shop.
I should also point out that the battery water indicator went red (although still holds plenty of charge) but the phone water indicator is still white.

Happened to me with CM7. All I did was update the ROM, which, oddly, fixed all my problems. Try reinstalling, I know it shouldn't affect baseband ect. but it worked for me Report back.
P.S. I'm pretty sure updating the baseband using LG's tools only works on official ROMs.
EDIT: Were you on the official rom?

I believe CM7 was the first ROM I tried. Was very buggy (like it was angry haha)
The LG Tool does only work for official roms, I had reverted everything back (Froyo/recovery) just like from the factory (at least as far as I could tell!)
Being that the only thing I haven't "wiped" is the baseband (only accessible by the LG Tool) I have a hunch the problem is there, but I don't know Android at ALL haha, so im wondering why im not even getting an IMEI number to register anywhere other then when I look on the back of the phone!

Have you tried installing another ROM? IMEI has never registered properly for me, no clue why, but my provider says they're seeing the right number so all is good.

I went from 2.2.2 to 2.3.3 (Froyo?) the to CM7 then to Bionix now back on 2.3.3 (which for some reason keeps refreshing the dashboard randomly)

Still nothing, which is to bad because I really like the phone!
If anyone wants to toss in any ideas, feel free to, I could very well have looked over something simple.

I would keep giving it a try but if worse comes to worse can't you flash a new baseband.
Have you tried fauxs hybrid gb rom?

Haven't tried the Faux rom yet, will do next.
I tried flashing the baseband to the July update but the LG Tool kept erroring out (which I might try again as well since apparently its buggy as hell)

Also try reinstalling the drivers for the phone or try another usb port.
Sometimes the drivers just trip the system

You need to try the procedure that has a thread dedicted to it for peoples phones that got bricked by the lg tool when they updated to gingerbread it tells you how to nv flash 2.3.3 and you will end up with the samething you have no baseband ect.then follow the dirictions exactly and if you can not get the lg tool to work flash the turn off the modem and flash the kdz he talks about for wind mobile that will put you on froyo 2.2.2 and after that use the lg update tool and it will put you back to gingerbread with everything working if you can not get tools to work try on a diffrent windows xp machine

However I keep getting stuck at 4% saying there is a communication error. I have tried to go into download mode / SW upgrade mode but Windows 7 does not detect the phone. I keep getting this error:

I am having a mare and hope someone can help please.
I want to flash this rom but have had to revert back to Froyo and can't seem to flash GB or GB baseband onto my phone. The KDZ installer either has an error unpacking file or when I get past that, just won't work (I think this is because of the LG version 9 that I've read about - I have now been able to revert it to 8 and still not working).
Also, installed ROM manager from Market and it didn't have an option for the LG O3D so couldn't use it.
Sorry if I sound like a complete NOOB, flashed GB and other stuff before on the KDZ installer but it doesn't like me any more and I can't seem to do it either way. I really want to install this ROM.

I had the exact same problem all i did was re download the kdz file again it worked something must of happened while downloading data got broken all you have to do is download a fresh copy and your on your way..

I think the problem might be a corrupted KDZ file but I can't get another to download please help someone as the LG site link just freezes up.

I want to update my GW620 to Gingerbread but first and most problem is

and phone is restarting automatically on that stage.
I have also checked it with LG-Utils-kp500_ks360 provided in
cyanogenroms Tools section but the same error also occuring in 4%
of total task.
Please suggest me some option that by which ways we can upgrade my
GW620 to Gingerbread.

Help Downgrading LG GW620!!!

Hi All,
I have a GW620 wich I want to upgrade to 2.3
Problem is, somehow I can't downgrade my firmware. It's stuck.
Am using Windows 7 Home Premium x32 and all the apps I use I open it with Administrator privileges..
Also have .net 3.5 and xsxml 4.0 (or something like that, don't know the exact name anymore)
Can't enable root permission via the hidden menu, and all fastboot combinations I have tried fail (and i've tried it really MANY times at all possible timings).
I can get ADB to work and boot to emergency mode but that still won't do.
A full factory reset doesn't help either..
I have the V20D_00 firmware. Is it completely locked or something? Anyone can help me wit this one?

Got it working now.
Found a version v20d_00 with fastboot, and that version did install without a problem.
For future readers I have uploaded the kdz. Also found a version for v20g_00 so uploaded that one also. Have tested them both and they are working.

LG p700 L7 stuck in emergency mode brick ?

I have the same problem. At the time of cwm installing, my phone rebooted on emergency mode yellow screen and cant open anymore. I use vol+ + power and the computer recognize my phone. I diasbled LGE modem and try to install v10A, V10C, v10g and v10h firmware every time it cant finish correctly and say

I connect my phone with vol+ and power buttun clicking and install usb drivers after that I disable lg modem and open update tool and costumer support recıver my phone, enter imei say ok , go to update program after waiting it says " pdater not possible due to fatal error, while the LG Mobile Phone Software Update"
I used a lot of buttun combinations to go cwm but it always stuck in yellow screen emergency mode. I need your helps however I will be carzy, I have a big headache

I connect my phone with vol+ and power buttun clicking and install usb drivers after that I disable lg modem and open update tool and costumer support recıver my phone, enter imei say ok , go to update program after waiting it says " pdater not possible due to fatal error, while the LG Mobile Phone Software Update"
I used a lot of buttun combinations to go cwm but it always stuck in yellow screen emergency mode. I need your helps however I will be carzy, I have a big headache

1. Reinstall drivers
2. Use uptestex_mod2_marwin.exe (no 2nd one)
