Hey guys, I'm wondering is the keyboard of Z4 tablet can click and drag while in Microsoft Excel? Anyone got the keyboard already? Thanks in advanced!

Now I don't know for sure, but having used another tablet with keyboard and touchpad (Asus TF700T), I imagine that the touchpad will not add any special features you can't already do with your finger on the touchscreen. If you have a Bluetooth or USB mouse (and, in the latter case, a USB OTG adapter), you can see how the tablet reacts to mouse/touchpad inputs.
Basically, Android adds a mouse pointer (which is basically just a position indicator that the underlying apps don't know/care about), and clicking and dragging is exactly the same as tapping and dragging with your finger. Also, the touchpad on my TF700T had two-finger scrolling, which imitated dragging on the screen from where the mouse pointer was, I could even unlock my pattern lock using two-finger scrolling on the touchpad.
So, if you can "click and drag" in Excel using your finger, you should be able to do it with the touchpad as well. Just don't expect the keyboard/touchpad to implement new features or use cases, because it probably won't.
the short answer to this one is "Yes". There are no mouse button as such but by double tspping or pressing on the touchpad, it does the same thing as a left mouse button does. On the Sony keyboard if you hold the touchpd down with one finger and drag with another, it works.

drag anything with two finger on the touchpad.

I know that this post is almost 1 year old, but the BKB50 keyboard's touchpad can click. I mean, if you press on it, it clicks.

Any bluetooth mouse should work I believe. I think you can have 2 devices paired at the same time too.
I use a Dell Bluetooth Mouse with a Bluetooth keyboard all the time. They work very well together. Now with Onlive Desktop, I have a very productive business tool with my Touchpad.
I bought my mouse used for $9.00 here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002G9J3MO/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details
Good luck!
I'm using a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000. Yes you can use a bluetooth mouse and keyboard at the same time. Pretty much any bluetooth keyboard and mouse will work as long as they use are HID compliant which almost all are.
Hell I'm using a Mac mighty mouse for it and it works

Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse 5000, Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard 6000. Work great together on Ubuntu (haven't tried in Android, but there's no reason they wouldn't work).
I bought this mouse off amazon and it DOES NOT work with the touchpad. With cm7 it would work but be extremely flighty. With cm9 it will pair but will not function...I also was looking for a mouse to use with the touchpad....specifically for splashtop. Also the mouse paired hid.

It doesn't have the best review rating on Amazon, only 2.5 stars. It's probably just a bad BT mouse in general. If you bought from Amazon or a Fulfilled by Amazon seller, they have a really good defective return policy that won't cost you anything to ship back/return if its been less than 30 days. They let you print off a prepaid (by them) return shipping label.
You may have to pay a bit more for a better brand if that one won't work. I've never had an issue with Microsoft or Logitech mice. Dell, HP and possibly other OEMs usually have rebranded Logitech stuff so they are good as well.
Blueputdroid on my Droid 4 works perfectly.
I get high fives from my tech-inclined friends for doing citrix remote desktop from my touch pad using Firefox running on Ubuntu 12.04 running on cm9 with the Droid 4 serving as Bluetooth keyboard, mouse and wifi hotspot. It is a sight to behold.
If you have an android phone you might consider this.

Alright guys so I got a mouse but It won't pair. I explained in another thread why, but it pretty much won't connect and if it does the mouse movement doesn't do anything even though I see the cursor on the screen. It works great on my galaxy nexus though. :/

I tried my iMac magic mouse and bluetooth slim keyboard but none of them do anything (could be a hid thing)... they do pair, and the keyboard I can register and pair when I type the passcode. Has anyone tried these?
Also, for those using Splashtop, does it support the keyboard and mouse? Its such a hassle to click/drag or open the keyboard to type.
Am using an old BTM-100 Anycom BT Mouse. Works very smooth.

Haven't tried with webOS, but with CM9, both my logitech BT mouse and keyboard work like a charm
I have the Razer Orochi and it works fine.
Sort of mouse related....I have the Logitech Mediaboard Pro for the PS3 (keyboard + trackpad) and it's worked well so far.
Using a Bluetooth mouse made this tablet even more awesome.

how could I do this for unrooted phone to Cm9 touchpad use?
I am using the official Motorola keyboard and mouse. Both work great, though the keyboard needed special instructions.

How do i get an xbox 360 gamepad to work with shadowgun or dead trigger. My character just spins around and stuff like that. i can't even play the game. The controller works fine as it works with onlive. It's hard to even assign the controls as it automatically becomes joystick 3+ or something like that. Thanks for the help.

Not quite sure how it works with the xbox controller, but if its recognized by the game as a gamepad then you can assign the buttons on the settings of each game.

i tried it but the character still spins around. I can't even assign buttons on shadowgun with ease because it automatically becomes a certain button.

What you are saying is that when you try to assign a button it automatically sets it? so when trying to set several buttons you get the same mapping?
If that's what is happening maybe your controller is malfunctioning or the global mappings are wrong. Go into your tablets setting under input fins your controller make sure it has a check mark on the left side, then tap on the right side button to toggle the controllers specific settings. In there check the global mappings make sure that the buttons don't repeat themselves.
Hope that helps, I. don't have an xbox controller so I can't be much help.

Sorry, i didn't explain it that well really. It's like the analogue stick is malfunctioning so when i'm trying to assign a button, because the analogue stick is "malfunctioning", it automatically assigns the action to the analogue stick because it detects constant movement i think. The only thing i can do to get it to assign is to mash the button and what i want it to be assigned to constantly at the same time. The controller works fine. I don't know why it does that. Thanks for the help

Try cold booting and then reconnecting your controller. Is it wired or wireless btw? I hear some people are having problems with the wireless one. (You can also try pressing the stick to the bottom, that sometimes works with the xbox at least)
It's wireless. Thanks for the help

I've wondered.. would that be possible? I know that its possible to stream to an 1920x1080 monitor via MHL and i'm pretty sure i can somehow connect a mouse and a keyboard via bluetooth - or?
Which MHL Adapater and BT keyboard/mouse combo would you recommend? Does ANY BT keyboard/mouse combo work with our phone?

Hey bud,
I have a similair goal in mind and have begun gathering gear for my desktop replacement system lol. I have a monitor already. I just picked up the iHome bluetooth keyboard from my local store here. Dude, paired and connected in a snap. No extra work needed. All i do is turn bt on on the phone, turn the keyboard on and it immediattely defaults to the keyboard for text inpuut. I am in the process of researching how to remap the keys for optimized android functionality as this model is mapped out for iphone. but the media keys work well. volume up and down. pressing the play key automatically starts the media player and plays music. I am actually typing out this post on it right now in my car with my phone docked to my windshield lol. i love it. the arrow keys work in most apps to scroll through and select stuff. Now all i need is a mouse and mhl adapter. I gave up my pc when the hardrive croaked because my adroid phone does alll i need.
I started using android phones as a desktop replacement since i had my G2x. this phone is much easier to accomplish the task with. and with cloud storage we dont even need to use usbhost to latch on an external hardrive. Best of luck dude.

Logitech has a android specific keyboard. I think these have dedicated android keys for home, back and recent apps.

Impressive app. Allows for the control of the Xbox360 on the Android phone. Very responsive as long as you have connected the phone and your XboX on the same wifi network, otherwise it's pretty laggy. Using IE on the XboX becomes much more useful in that you can easily scroll and navigate the browser using your Android phone's keyboard and pad app that allows you to scroll horizontally and vertically. Still playing around with it.

Okay so hello, I am curious is there an app which you can set the buttons on our keyboard docks to emulate touch screen responses? Like say I want to play minecraft right? is there and app to assign say key "A" to a point on the screen so when key "A" is depressed it simulates you touching the screen in said spot? I apologize if there is already an app which allows you do do this, if there is could you give me general tips on useing said app? Thank you for your time and have a nice day
