GALAXY S6 SM-G920F Problems - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just bought the mentioned phone and I'm experiencing some weird problems on it. For example, I disabled most of the google apps by going to the App menu > Edit and disabled them by pressing the "minus" on the icon. Now if I want to re-enable them in Settings > Applications by going to the Disabled Apps section, pressing Enable and it gives me the option to DISABLE it again? WTF? Seems like I can't enable any app I disabled now..
The second thing is, it's more of a question really.. If I long press the home button, it only makes a short vibration and does nothing at all, is that normal or should something pop-up?

I mean really!? Ok, when you've pressed the enable toogle and the toggle becomes "disable" it means the app is already enabled and it gives you the option to disable it again.
Long press of the home button brings you to google now app, you must have disabled it.

I don't understand the bold text I quoted from you.. What do you mean? I clearly stated that I've disabled an app, and if I press to enable it, it offers me to disable it.. which is, already disabled?!?!?
Sorry for the misunderstanding but I don't get it how could I disable a already disabled app?!?

I mean when the button has the word "disable" on it. It means it's already running and app is ready for use.. Vice versa, if it has the word "enable" on the button.

???
I have DISABLED an app, therefore the app is DISABLED. If I want to enable it, the button there clearly says "Enable" but when I try to do that, I get a pop up as I was trying to disable it, which it already is.. Why don't you get it? xD

Ohh I get it now, if you've disabled it and the app is already updated, and you're trying to enable it again. Just click the pop up to disable it again, it just wants you to uninstall the updates and it reverts back to the apps factory version, and press the enable toggle again, the app will be enabled. You just have to reupdate the app again. In the touchwiz home you can directly disable an app but in the applications manager when you try to disable apps you have to uninstall the updates. Since disabling through the home launcher is just a shortcut.
Just touchwiz things.

It's normal, if you're not rooted. It's not really a bug, it's just a feature of touchwiz. My stock S5 and S4 has this, too.

Oh okay then.. I thought I got some faulty phone Any news on when is the ram management fix coming? Seems like my ram is staying at 80-90% at all times.. even when I'm not running any apps..
Also, do you recommend disabling the apps you don't use? For example I have disabled most of the google apps on there, since I'm not prone to use them..

No On/Off option for Advanced Calling

I have it enabled on my account but there's only one default option in settings > advanced calling. Anyone experienced something similar? I tried resetting and power off and on to no avail.
Do you have any if the Verizon bloat frozen? I had to unfreeze all apps to get it enabled, now I wish I hadn't, I can't get Google voice to work again!
Nope.
I have the same problem, I enabled it when I got my phone but now I cannot find an option to disable it. When I enter the 'Advanced Calling' menu it asks if I want to activate but I have already done so. It goes through its routine and tells me I have it enabled already but it wont give me an option to turn it off.

Are you on stock or custom rom and have you seen the second option (underneath Activate Advanced Calling) to enable/disable before?

I am on stock *OC3 with some of the verizon bloat frozen, with root. Could the frozen apps have something to do with it? No I do not have a second option underneath.
This is what I see when I click 'Activate' even though its already been activated. When I reboot, I see the same thing all over again.
I am not sure, try unfreezing all the Verizon apps and see if it works.
I am on Clean Rom Lite 1.1 but other users have not experienced the same problem so it may just be something on my line/account.

Australian generic ROM looks like your left picture for my small apps, and swiping does the same swipe down small apps gone, swipe back up they appear again
I already figured it out and its a bug when you use an app that is related in "Accessibility". I am using Greenify and instead of using Google Now on tap, when I long press it, I want my screen to lock, then after I enable it, the overlapping will appear, and when I disable it , it will return to original position
Happens with me too when I use "lastpass". Turn off the accessibility option for Lastpass, and it fixes it. I think it would be considered a bug for the build.

Yes that worked. But then Pebble Time won't work. I do use the small apps quite a lot. Eghhh?
t is definitely caused by the accessibility service for Geeenify or any other system optimizing apps for me also. Disabling the accessibility service for them will solve the problem .... i tried it worked out !!
I can suggest that the overlapping problem comes also with tasker when the accessibility service is activated. Disabling the tasker service can resolve the problem but it sacrifices some importatnt tasker fontions. I tryed factory reinstallation but it can't resolve this issue. I have also grenify installed on my xperia z5. There is the same problem with microapps. Really disappointed with this update. The fingerprint funtionalyty is changed also, when you lock your phone with the external program like tasker you can't activate the phone with your fingerprint sensor, the phone asks for a password.

Anyone managed to get to system ui tuner?

The instructions to enable system ui tuner on the web don't appear to be working...holding down the sprocket on the toggle screen till it spins doesn't enable the menu...anyone else know how to get to it?
Also still looking for a way (non xposed) to assign long hold of back button to kill foreground app.
Should say system UI tuner added to settings after holding for about 5 seconds.

It should..I agree...thats what all the suggestions say and I can see the wheel spin....but it's not in the list. Are you saying it worked for you? If so I may need to go back to a fresh install and try this again.

For me also it worked.
I finally got the thing to appear and I'm still not certain how...I think marshmallow is much more picky about the touchscreen and the glass screen protector I have on it....taps are not being interpreted right all the time....anyway thanks for confirming. Ironically by the time I enabled the menu I had already enabled xposed and found ways to set all the things I woul d have been able to do from system ui.

Help "All apps associated with this action have been turned off, blocked....

Good Morning all:
I keep getting a notice that states "All apps associated with this action have been turned off, blocked or not installed" every time I go back to the home screen or when I depress the home button from the lockscreen. Another issue I have noticed is for my Microsoft OneDrive in my Playstore list. It said to Uninstall or Enable. I uninstalled it and now it only shows "Enable". I press "Enable" but it won't do anything. I went to the "Settings" then "Apps" and I changed the view to "Disabled" and nothing shows.
Any ideas on what I have done wrong.
Thanks for all your help.
Been using any Package disabler apps? Package Disabler Pro ?
Sounds like you've disabled something you shouldn't

Yep, and I can't for the life of me remember how to undo my mistake... I don't see any disabler in my apps list and this is what confuses me.
Problem solved, thanks to *Detection* jogging my memory.

What's the fix
After same problem (with diff app) with my S9, I FINALLY figured out what happened/how to fix. I had downloaded disabler AND an xml file that disabled bloatware/"unnecessary" system stuff listed therein. Turns out that the xml contained stuff that matters if you use smartwatch, some NFC, etc. Only I'd set disabler to *hide system files*, which was where I ultimately found/enabled solution. I ain't mad at the disabler (killed off those damned text stickers), just a humbler and wiser user. Good luck.
okay so I had disabled the cricket wifimanager and that cause my home button to be disabled

Accessibility services keep resetting

Hi,
I tried to remap my Jovi button using the button remapper app but it stops working after a while. I have it locked in recent apps, set up as an exception in battery saver, I even ADB uninstalled the i Manager app but without success. Then I figured out my accessibility keeps resetting from on to off for all apps (not just the button remapper). Do you have any ideas how to stop it from doing so?
P.S. I don't think factory reset will help as this was the problem from the very beginning, before any modifications were made.
Thanks a lot!
I've had the exact same issues but have no idea why it's happening.
Also, from the sounds of things, a number of other people have had similar problems in the thread explaining how to re-map the button.
Same issue here. Except with Nova Launcher. Accessibility keeps turning off.
still no soultion for this issue? im getting frust already. huh

I fond a solution for the accessibility issue
STEPS
1. Open the app enable accessibility
2. Go to the recent apps menu and block it (with the lock)
3. Then reboot and DO NOT CLOSE IT BEFORE U REBOOT
4. When you boot up you will see in the recent apps menu the app will be not there and your good to go
