Began uploading, at around 10% at the time of writing this. I wonder about flashing it myself to see if anything is changed. If anyone knows if Saudi Arabia's N9005 needs another PIT file, now would be a good time to tell us.
Because among the first ODX firmwares were the German and Dutch T-Mobile branded ones, and they needed a PIT to flash properly. xD
ETA 45 minutes.

Saudi, and the whole Middle East fall under EMEA, and most manufacturers tend to divide continents through that regulation rather then actual continent itself.
It's XXU and that's how all the European roms begin with. I'd say your good to go as nearly all European roms have the same PIT (excluding branded firmwares as you said).
Whether it is branded, that remains to be seen. Someone from Saudi could inform us well if the users there dominate in Unlocked or Carrier phones.

Firmware uploaded, updated OP with the link. Is there any way I can edit the title of the thread to add a MEGA tag, too?
Edit: never mind, even if my profile says "Senior Member" I still gotta learn a few things around here. xD

Odin flashed it with all green and said PASS!!
But general stability and battery life, can't tell you those without using the thing for a couple of days at least.
Also, don't you think that without experimenting a little XDA wouldn't have been where it is now? Every time I flash, even though I've taken backups and whatnot, I've embraced the possibility that it might be the last thing I've done to the phone.
Phone just finished loading, I'm setting it up and seeing what's different. It's safe to flash.

Hi, many of us I guess are waiting to know if this release has fixed the bluetooth issues!!! How are your tests going?

What bluetooth issues? I'm on BOD6 and didn't notice any issues with my headphones, car or bluetooth speaker.
I'm also going to try this version soon.

Just read posts in any Lollipop thread for Note 3 and you will see people in trouble with Bluetooth
It might be that already the branded version you have sorted out partially those issues
Basically the problem is that using smart bands or smart watches the connection sometimes is lost and it is a mess to get them connected again
Even with my Plantronics earphone sometimes I need to keep trying many times to connect as it doesn't start
These problems are with the only unbranded Lollipop release that is the Polish one

I'm flashing this Saudi Arabia version as well, ad I understand from you that the bluetooth problems seem to have been fixed! Did I understand correctly?

You can always pick any branded version BOD6 or this one and uncompress all files.
Replace cache and hidden files with any of the unbranded roms (I use the less debloated ITV).
Re-tar all files and then MD5.
Then just install as usual via Odin, it won't trip knox as it's official.

No i wanted to say that im waiting for feedback too

Anyone knows which modem version is in N9005XXUGBOEA? Will it work well in Europe?

Fantastic!
The first tests are very positive. I went far from the phone a couple of times with my Gear Fit and the Note realized immediately the disconnection (it was not like that with the previuos version)
When I was back close to the phone immediately the smart band Gear Fit connected again both times.
Same test and same success with the Plantronics earphone, so indeed it seems that this new Lollipop version is managing correctly the bluetooth connections!
Also the gallery speed and the Chrome browser speed seem to have been improved

I don't know which modem version is there, I can only say that at the very moment it seems to work properly in Italy (TIM) where I am based... connecting correctly in 4G/LTE
This version shows again 4G as the icon, instead LTE at it was in the last version. But this is just a graphic difference. The internet speed is very very good

That's what they said about KitKat, yet it introduced the Android OS, Android Kernel and Mediaserver battery drains... And the new SD permissions that is a nightmare for anyone without Root.... And a bootloader that made it impossible to roll back.
That's what they said about the S3 update last year that caused te device to freeze over 50 times a day (the SDSfix caused it).
That's what they said about several updates that were recalled because of fatal errors...
So pardon our reluctance to trust in that principle.

Strange: I've NO battery-drains at all, even with Gear 2 connected and 25 notifications active! My battery-usage is between 0,5-1,5%/hr!
SD-permissions is NOT the fault of Samsung: you'll have to blame Google about that!
Developers of apps were in-time informed about this change, but if they don't update their apps!

That wasn't the point. They were introduced with the updates, regardless of who caused them.
I don't have the drain issues either, but there are more than enough people here who do to warrant it an issue. Idle mine drains 1% in 10 hours. (Also, what is the point of 25 notifications? You can't see past 8 without scrolling a massive way down... And they don't fit in the small bar, either... )
I know it was Google's doing. I have about 35 posts telling people exactly that. I never said it was Samsung's fault.
Most app devs are simply too lazy. (Particularly the ones in this country.. Have you seen the RTLnieuws app? Good grief... And the Skyradio app is a direct iOS port that can't even run in the background..) Take OfficeSuite. one of the largest, most popular and most expensive Office apps... And still no updates permission. They're blatantly ignoring it!

[Q] SPO2 sensor and S-health

First let me state that yes I know this was slightly touched on over here http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/help/spo2-sensor-t3096690
This is from the S6 edge forum so I prefer not to post there as these are two different devices as per se.
Has any one been able to use the SPO2 sensor on the S6 and if so what region FW are you using?
Thanks in advance

It could be that items such as SPO2 meters are regulated as medical devices and require a prescription in your country, so Samsung disables it.

I flashed German 1&1 firmware and everything is working 100 % including SpO2 stress.
a few other things also started to work like my smart lock.
I guess they break things just enough to frustrate the user but keep the device working. sad indeed.

Simple solution, not the best but it works. Flash a country firmware that supports it. there are a few issues with flashing firmwares but there are workarounds, just search the forum. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/stock-firmware-official-stock-firmware-t3086387/page7

EE WiFi Calling

Is there anyone that is on EE with the S6 and uses WiFi calling?
I've been using it for almost a week now and I'm finding it hit and miss, the symbol comes and goes and some texts don't send even though I'm apparently connected via WiFi calling....my broadband is stable so I know that's not the cause.
Thanks
There's issues on the 5.0.2 firmware with it, they've apparently released 5.1.1 which fixes this, but no one seems to be able to download it...

Spoke to someone today who said they were doing 10k IMEIs per day, which works out at just over 7 days for the amount of branded EE S6/Edges they have. But again, EE are pretty crap at communication / rolling things out so don't hold me to it.

I updated about 4 hours ago, with a device that has never been reseted, and been through 3 major updates (+500 mb) without a reset. No negative consequences have happened at any of the updates, UI is smoother all around, and standby battery has improved a lot. Even though I have both, WhatsApp and Kik open in the background, the battery has decreased only 4% in the past two and a half hours with me using the phone once a while. This is incredible, and the device has not heated up once in use, I can't even tell that the phone is on by feel, because it doesn't produce any heat.
I did read that many people did have issues with the update in India, where it was released first, but I have not had any issues, only big improvements. I've also noticed that the India update changelog did not list the things that mine did, so maybe they did changes to the update? I've also been trying to "use my phone like it's meant to be used", this includes no accessibility service hacks or gutting TouchWiz from the inside with a package disabler. I feel like changing how the system is meant to work is only going to make it worse, since a LOT of people were involved in making the S8 run fast and smooth, the exact way it's meant to be used for the average customer. The user interfering in this by disabling packages will inevitably cause errors in cross-process communication, where system applications are trying to communicate with other system applications that have been disabled by the user.

Odin has nothing to do with the updates received through OTA.
Then the word "Odin" should be removed from the thread title because is misleading
Conversely, we may need another thread for discussing OTA updates, no Odin required!

Well, I had the update and can confirm my SD card is now much faster. I store my music and photos on it and now it's just as fast as reading from internal memory. I can't judge the Bluetooth part, don't use it much. I have my iPhone for that. I will test my memory speed but expect no issues.

I don't know if any of you have had the SD card mounting/unmounting problem, but do you think or does it fix that issue that has been ongoing in some of the Samsung community? I think it should fix it since it does seem to tweak it considerably. This is what myself and others are waiting for (in U.S). Please leave your carrier or country when you get the update, thank you!

Ok, I have it now too. Had to manually check for an update. However, I am not liking it for one HUGE reason. All sound, notifications, calls etc are so quiet I can not hear them anymore from across the room. I basically have to have my phone in my hand to hear it and even then, if I am watching TV or anything, it is drowned out. Currently searching for solutions.

Did you have to wipe the device before using Odin?

I actually didn't wipe before using Odin, but I used the regular CSC so the phone did wipe after the flash. One way or the other I wanted to wipe for a fresh start but I didn't realize that maybe I should wipe before flashing.

I recall this being a complaint awhile back with Oreo. I might hold off on the update until all these little annoyances are resolved.
I'm gonna give this a shot since I'm on Pie Beta already and T-Mobile hasn't roll it out to me yet.....WOW, 4.2GB
Finally...for Tmobile from ZRLG Beta

It's called "Final Frontier"
I used GxFonts to install it.
I was wondering if we could pinpoint exactly the advantages of the T-Mobile carrier Pie firmware for a T-Mobile user, as opposed to the U1 firmware? I know video calling, but I think I read somebody say something about RCS 1.0 and band 28 support? I guess I am trying to weigh those things against that wonderful built-in caller ID on U1 ?

Oh cool thanks. I don't use video calling and I'm not sure RCS even comes into play much yet?
I got my OTA update Saturday February 16th and so far it's great; dark mode, auto restart, gestures, and UI improvements are just a few things to mention. The only two things that are a annoying is the removal of recent apps being sorted as a list I personally don't understand why they took this out and really hope they add it back. Second is the icons, Is it just me or the icons seem bigger? I've tried resizing through display settings and changing the dpi in developer settings, but nothing. Other than that Samsung did a fantastic job on this update

This is a fresh firmware you have to flash using the modded Odin. There's no need to update to any other versions so as long as you're on a snap variant - you're good to go!
