How many Tesla Roms will be made?

I found a review: ytbe
Looks very clear and simple. If only want to use a few apps I think it will be great. The battery time is the question I try it today or tomorrow!

I'll give it a try

Why do we need to flash boot.img separately. I have s-off on my phone, is that step needed in my case.
But hey thanks for providing us with something fresh for our device, i really appreciate that.:good:

Well, I made that review and plan to make one for HTC One M7! Before that, I gotta say that It's really fast and smooth!

you can simply flash via recovery.
Recommended Recovery: TWRP 2.7.1.2 or newer, you may want Twrp from MdMower!

minimal gapps 5.1.1

Thank you for the great ROM
It is very fast and smooth but I am facing to problems
1- The battery life is somewhat bad, On intensive usage it last less that 3 hours
2- Whenever I restart the phone it doesnot boot; it either sometimes after 2-3 reboots reoptimize all apps on its own or mostly I have to wipe cache and dalvik cache and system and reinstall the ROM the the GAPPs; this problem is utterly annoying

Use minimal gapps 5.1.1 only..
Working fine for me.. And all the roms running on 5.1.1 have the battery issues.

Cannot Install Custom Kernel

This is a strange problem that I only started to have once I installed Team Nekkid 7.2 RC dated 3/29.
I can flash the ROM no problem, wipe dalvik and fix permissions and I'm good to go without any issues. But if I flash the ROM, then either morfic or faux kernel, then gapps, when I go to wipe dalvik, all I get is a quick screen flash with no option to actually wipe dalvik.
I go back and wipe the overall cache completely, fix permissions, the reboot. I am now stuck at the morfic boot animation until i pull battery.
If i try to install a Faux kernel, same thing happens with dalvik, but gets stuck at the blue LG screen.
Once i battery pull and get back to CWM, i wipe everything, reflash ROM and gapps, wipe dalvik and fix permissions no problem and boot up into whatever ROM i choose.
EDIT: Went back and flashed Bionix 1.4.1 and was able to flash a Faux kernel and wipe dalvik. Booting up this ROM now.
I also have NO problem with ICS ROMS/kernels.
When you say NO PROBLEMS with ICS ROMs, does that include Google Maps and the stock browser working perfectly??
Which ICS ROMs have you tried? How is battery life?
Thanks!
Flash kernel last, and redownload the kernels!

I did all of that. I flashed the kernel before and after gapps but end up with the same result.
I have a feeling there is an issue with the CWM since I am constantly flashing roms/kernels and have never had these problems before. I'm at work so I cant use the Nvidia tool to flash CWM so I have to wait until I get home.

I usually just follow the instructions precisely by the OP. (Wiping/formatting, flashing rom, gapps, restart + let 10 min stand if required by OP) I have not installed another kernel that what the ROM has included. Should I try that? If yes, which one? I currently have EGB AOSP ICS 4.0.4
[UPDATE] Ok I got it now. Just read your last message

Short answer: yes, install a different ROM
Long answer: go to the developing section of the G2X forums and find out the info with the countless threads.

I've tried 3 different ICS roms and read hundreds of posts and found nothing that would fix the maps and browser issues. I guess I have to wait a bit more for the devs to work on them. Maybe the lack of drivers is the problem.

Look for Owain's Unnoficial Build 55 thread, and use Firefox browser, that is the most complete ICS ROM and Firefox doesnt have the rotation problem.

I was just downloading that ROM
Thanks!
My main concern is Google Maps not working properly. I rely on it in my job a lot and can't have it blanking out on me like that.
I've tried the replacement solution for the stock browser - I installed Dolphin HD. I'll try Firefox, though. Haven't used that on a phone since I had the Nokia N900 - Ah, the good times when I still believed in Nokia
Thanks for your help!

If the maps shows up and then goes blank, simply close the map and re-open it.
I know the close/reopen "trick," but I thought there might be a ROM that just has the Gmaps working. If there's none I'll just wait. Is Owain's unofficial 55 based on 4.0.4 ? I'm also going through his thread now in hopes of finding it. I'll probably just flash and see then.

Hey i'm the creator of the NexGen Android ROM, and I think I know the problem. Its most likely the kernel, try this one and let me know, it should make it a LOT better.

ignore the Virus alert cause its false. I just scanned and everything is okay with AVG 2013.

I put Serenity kernel on my device and I couldnt start nexus s. In fact I turn on my phone and it comes to starting image (sign X and its loading to go into android) and i stays there. I left device for about 2-3 minutes and nothing happened.
So I decided to install HellyBean.
But thank you for your help and NextGen is excellent rom (except battery) and I look forward for newer version

Well, then you could flash another JB kernel
BTW, Good luck with HellyBean:good::fingers-crossed:
2-3 minutes? you're clearly not patient. You realize sometimes when you flash a new kernel it takes awhile to boot up? You should've given it at least 3-5mins for the first bootup.

2) TAG
There's nothing wrong with the ROM or kernel. My ROM is AOSP, so it not booting up has to do with your phone. If you look at the thread, no one else is having a boot up problem but you, so please don't blame the ROM right away. You gave it 2 minutes to boot up after flashing a new kernel and then gave up on it.
You asked for help about the ROM and I'm trying to give it to you, but it seems you're just looking for a way out of NGA.
Like I said, nothing to do with the ROM, I'm running it right now with the same kernel as you, perfectly.

As with most ROMs, when in doubt do a clean install. In your recovery wipe cache, dalvik cache, and user data. Then install the ROM.

I have found that once you flash a rom it is a good idea to reboot to help tighten up the rom. Usually after a few days, the rom seems to settle down and battery life seems to get better.
So after flashing, wait a while, reboot, let it sit for a while, after doing this several times you should be good to go. Always remember, backup before you flash.

I want to downgrade from cm11 to cm10 or cm9 as my cell is getting heat up during nominal use also (when in charging and discharging also). I installed subway surfer also it lags a lot. Please tell me the correct procedure?
Either I have to install ddf2 rom and then flash cm10 or
I can :-
1. reboot recovery (on cm11 rom itself)
2. wipe system,cache,dalvik
3. flash cm10
4.flash gapps
Kick start from ddlf.

Lineage OS...NO SOUND!!!

I just flashed the new Lineage OS 14.1-20170717 nightly on my OPO 2 nights ago. It worked fine for the past 2 days but now I am having some issues. It started to reboot in the middle of watching movies on different apps. Today something worse happened, it started to lose sound everywhere. no sound in YouTube, FB or any other app that I tried to play something in. I rebooted the phone and didn't fix the issue. I did it hard reboot by holding the power botton and it fixed it. I thought it was a one time thing only, but it happened again and now its happening every 5 minutes or so....HELP!!! anyone know anything about this?

You can use Titanium backup or a flashable zip package of the apps you frequently use.
