Hey guys,
I have a device, Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-i9100 running a CM10 nightly. I have placed my custom boot animation named 'bootanimation.zip' into system/media & data/local. I don't know what happened or what I did wrongly, but now the CM10 boot animation is gone, and now it just says "android" for the boot animation... Which I guess is a new default boot animation?
In the link below, there is also a release of the boot animation that I have created. It supposed to be customized just for my device.
Can Anybody help me on this please???
Dup threads, closed.
This might be answered already but I cant find anything that I need with the search.
To avoid confusion, the boot logo and boot animation are both different.Boot logo is that Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 logo when you turn the device on and boot animation is that Samsung or whatever(Depends on which rom you use) animation on startup.
So what I need is I want to exctract the stock BOOT LOGO so I can edit it using photoshop. The replace the boot logo with the photshopped one.
But where can I find the Boot logo file so I can extract and replacing it.
Help is appriciated

Hello. I have a Galaxy Alpha sm-g850m. It's rooted and i have TWRP recovery. I was browsing the internet and I found that i can change the Boot image from my device, I thought it could be awesome.
I downloaded a .zip custom boot animation from the internet and I tried to install it with the TWRP(Intall>folder>.zip archive) But it say there is an error. I researched if my device isn't compatible with the custom boot animations but I still not find nothing.
Please Help me!!!!!! :'((((crying::good::good:

Hello,
Bootanimations are not flashable zips. They have to be moved to system/media with 777(rw-rw-rw) permisions and reboot.

Hello,
Great that you had a backup.
Also, you can visit here for flashing the stock bootanimation.

I have the rooted galaxy s6 and want a custom boot animation. Only problem is it never changes to the new boot animation!
I just found out about the bootsamsung.qmg file but am afraid to replace it with bootanimation.zip. I'm afraid doing that will put the s6 into a bootloop.
What exactly do I need to do to install a custom boot animation and to get it to actually run?
Please reply if you know. Thanks!
