Compact emergency charger to have on keychain - Galaxy S6 Accessories

Hello All,
Looking for a small compact charger, possibly with built in cable which is small enough to have in a pocket or on keychain. It does not have to have huge capacity, it's primary task should be to serve as an emergency charger when there is no socket around. Please give your suggestions.

I saw some product like this on Kickstarter - Fuel - it had microUSB port built in, but capacity is just 220mAh, i think for a modern phone is too small.

I just bought the Motorola Power Pack Micro for this purpose. It has an extra feature which is quite useful, it can connect to your phone via Bluetooth to help you find your phone with your key chain, or helps you find your key chain with your phone. It's not cheap though.

You mean this one: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/culcharge-the-smallest-wearable-3-in-1-powerbank ? Looks great. I really Like it!

So far in the thread my favourite is the Kiitag which I now hope to buy

I can't find any statement on the power capacity of the Kiitag 2. I really like the Culcharge, though. Might have to consider that one.

I found an article stating it is only 450MAh.

None of the crowdfunding devices are available to buy now and use. Not a real solution until they are.

Thank You So Much for posting about CulCharge 3-in-1 Power Bank. We are looking for beta-testers and reviewers of CulCharge. We will be posting more details soon, if you are interested - please post a comment in this thread.

I'm willing to test them out and review it

I've been looking for a portable charger that I can attach to my key chain. I have to charge my S6 every evening about 7pm and would love to try this out for you and give a review.

Looking forward to receiving my Plan V from the kickstarter campaign. Made a version of this myself a while ago, but it was nowhere near as pretty or compact.

Awesome. I saw that but was too skeptical to give it a shot. I'm glad someone did. I've tried other batteries that are the same size as stock, that claim to be larger capacity and they never seem to be the real deal.

Even if I get just the same amount of juice that the stock battery gives me , it's only $10... Plus it's not coming from China.

meh... why not? at that price i'll give it a try. i'll post my findings once i've received it and gone through a whole charging cycle with it.
oh... and to the guy who made the comment about it not coming from china:
Anker is a US registered trademark of LaptopMate, belonging to Fantasia Trading LLC., founded in San Jose in 2009. After years' wholehearted efforts, Fantasia has experienced dramatic growth and remains committed to sharing reliable, high-quality and user-friendly consumer electronics made in China with the whole world, for goodwill between people.
After seeing it was only 10 bucks I myself purchased one as well. I should receive it by Wednesday so like others on the thread, I'll check back after then.
But one as well...

Ditto. However, having a spare battery does come in handy in certain situations.
For those who travel a lot like me, it's very handy to have a spare oppose to an external charger. It's much easier to just pop a fresh battery in and not have to find a charger to stand next to a wall outlet to make calls...
I do admit though, the HTC cover is pretty funky...it's a first...very odd...

I travel a lot too so ill need a spare battery. It just worries me. I have three for my hd2 that I was using, but popping the battery cover off on the hd2 is simple. I feel like doing so on the sensation will eventually wear it out. Or ill break something. Total pain in the ass.

I'm interested in being apart in reviewing this product. but its not letting me sign up and share the link.
Interested and shared the link
Also interested and shared link, as well! I love portable charging devices. Makes things a lot easier
I am very interested in becoming a reviewer for the CulCharge PowerBank, I have signed up and shared the link. I read through the campaign and think this is a very innovative and life changing idea, having a powerbank right on my keys would be a life saver for me and a lot of others as well.
I'm interested. Pretty excited to help out!
Definitely interested in this. Looking forward to it.
I would LOVE to try this out. I was just telling my wife about it the other day. I have a larger power block that I take on trips, but having something that could just clip onto my keys would be great. I also love that it functions as a USB cable when I need to hook my phone to my computer.
My only concern is this: Will the micro USB attachment work if I have a case on my phone? It almost looks too short to deal with any significant case on the phone.
Hey, I'm interested.
Shared the link, let me know.
It's been about 10 minutes since I went through the steps and I'm still not seeing the confirmation email in my inbox or in my junk mail. What can I do if I don't receive it?
ETA: Never mind. It finally arrived. The internet is a strange and mysterious thing at times.

Very interested in reviewing the CulCharge emergency charger. I shared a link on Twitter and filled out the reviewer application form. Thank you for another great product for both Android and Apple. Of course, my primary interest is Android

I would also like to review this product. I am always on the go and would put it to the test.
I meet all of your requirements and would like to test, however, I do not use any of the social media sites require for sharing links. If you would still be interested in me having a tester, I would appreciate assisting. Thanks!
I've been a member for quite a while and use juice packs daily. I would love to give this pack a trial run

I don't fully meet your criteria, but if you were to make an exception I would gladly review it
Im interested to test
I am definitely interested. I love seeing new products that help further our phones usability.
Count me in, I like to test and fix phones
I would love to have the opportunity to be a reviewer. I shared the link via Twitter as well. Thank you!
I think I do qualify for a tester... let us see...
I would love to FULLY test out this charging device i shared the link on facebook with 3500 people.
and I would be willing to give it a thorough test, give feedback and a accurate review
I don't meet the criteria, but I'm looking for a possible exception, can't hurt to try.
I am interested in testing this product. It looks like it may be very beneficial.
I have a feeling this is spam to just get the word out about this product.
I am definitely interested in review the 3 in 1. Brief background about myself I have been in leadership roles for over the last 25 years from US Navy to high demand environments in sales leadership supervising over 600 people at one point. I have tested and pushed many products in my past and would love to be a part of this as a volunteer instead of work. It's actually exciting.

Google Sheet: USB Type C Recommendations and Other N5X/N6P Accessories

Fellow XDAers,
Some of you may already be aware of my Google Sheet with recommended USB Type C accessories (cables, adapters, power banks, chargers) and other N5X/N6P accessories (screen protectors, skins, cases). I created this as a source of information on USB Type C cables based upon Benson Leung's reviews (Google Pixel Engineer). This spreadsheet has morphed over time based on user feedback and input. I am actively maintaining this sheet with the latest information on USB Type C products and enhancements have been made to also include other types of accessories. Community input is extremely valuable and I would love to hear your comments on the sheet. Please let me know if you come across any products I have not included on the sheet or if information is inaccurate.
I will continue to maintain this sheet and post updates on XDA, my blog, and reddit.com/r/nexus6p and reddit.com/r/nexus5x.

First of all there are already 2 dedicated OP's with this spreadsheet inside of them. There is no need to create an additional one with just the sheet. We should all know this by now, but if a MOD wants to sticky just the sheet that's fine, but again we don't need 1000000 OP's for the same exact thing.

I reported this OP and recommended that either the spreadsheet gets a "sticky" or one of the OP's containing it. I just don't think it's helpful seeing a ton of these OP's when it could be streamlined so people can get the information they need faster without added confusion. I hope one of these OP's or the spreadsheet gets pinned up top so we can avoid seeing so many OP's discussing the same thing.

We will see what the MOD's do. I just hope they reduce the unnecessary OP's so we stop confusing people. I still believe that the sheet should be pinned or "stickied" in some manner as I stated so lets see what happens

Thanks for your input. I appreciate you raising this idea to the mods. I would love to have this stickied as I feel it is a great resource to the community. More importantly, I created this thread on XDA so I could get community input and feedback on the Google Sheet.
Over time, new products are added/removed/updated and it is difficult to keep up with all of the products. I keep up with forums, product reviews, my own reviews, etc. Having other eyes checking for mistakes is great but it is also good to hear new ideas from the community. The feedback I have received on reddit has been very beneficial so I was hoping to extend that to XDA!

I agree, that's why I flagged it so in some way or another the spreadsheet/ Type-C OP's in general can make their way to becoming 'stickied' I will try to recommend that this gets 'stickied' again if for some reason it falls through.
thanks OP, i found this very useful
The whole type c to type c is a pain because you cant even use the supplier in box cable to charge your phone via a laptop or usb car charger so these cables are essential
great work
Just received my Aukey charger from amazon using with Google USB A to C cable ...
Does not display charging rapidly
Any ideas ?
Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA Premium HD app

You should not be seeing rapid charging using an A to C Cable.
Then why are we recomending this charger ?
So we need a C to C Cable to Achieve Rapid charging ?
Thanks

Because it understands how much current it can allow instead of allowing 3A when it's rated for 2.0 and breaking or causing a house fire.
As of right now, correct. You will need C to C for rapid charging. USB A was never meant to allow 5V at 3A. I think A maxes at 2.4A.
Looks like Orzly is boasting "safe to use with Type C devices"
