Hi All
Can you help me with my questions below?
I use H6+ but I believe questions 1 and 2 are regarding to EMIU 3 settings rather than specific device?
1. Does anyone know how to safely remove USB OTG?
2. Also on my Honor 6 plus the notification drawer is quite bright which makes some of the options (like music player buttons) nearly invisible is there a way to make it bit darker?
3. MHL – I heard H6 has it, does H6+ has is as well?
Thank you

Hello
Please note I will only be choosing the Samsung Galaxy S3 (Metallic Blue) but I might still choose the iPhone 5 (if it's worth it)
I have a iPhone 4 and I am contemplating going over to Android.
My first smart phone was a Nokia 5800 (well First one I customized had the N70 & N73)..... now I'm using the iPhone.
I understand that flashing fw to cfw was how one did custom roms on the Nokia's, and of course jail breaking is for the iPhone. So I figure rooting is for Android. ?? is it easier to root than to jailbreak ??
I would also like to know if these options are available for Android,
Custom tones for all tones (email, battery warning, alarm... etc.)
Multiple wallpapers for pages, custom page transitions.
page transition sounds (not on iPhone as far as I know, seen on pip-boy Android theme)
Hardware wise How does scrolling and touch feedback compare on Android compare to iPhone (specifically Galaxy S3 to iPhone 4) can it be done on Android ?
I listen to music in my car via an aux cable headphone input cable when I unplug the cable the player stops.... I love that feature, and the activator app that allows you to customize gestures and button presses for apps (like double press of the sleep button to skip a song)can it be done on Android ?
I know there are apps that allow you to hide icons on the home screens and lock screens on iPhone, can it be done on Android ?
Basically I understand that Android should be easier to customize than iPhone......
Lastly I would like to ask If the users that are on Android that have used iPhone's, And those that have gone from iPhone to Android, will I be happy ?
I love tinkering with tech...
How is the scratch resistance on the Galaxy S3 ?
Are screen protectors really needed ?, I have been using my iPhone 4 for
Almost a year and 7 months, hardly any scratches on the back - none on the front, and it lives in a pouch (no screen protectors)
That's all I can think of for now... Will add more questions soon
Another question.... I see on the screenshots thread that the "status bar (iphone) " barckground on the Android is black, can one make it clear (like on the iPhone) ? (or better yet move it's location.. say the bottom of the screen ?)
Oh and can one hide fonts ? and if you can, can you hide the shadows of the fonts ? (can be done on iPhone)
As stated above Please note I will only be choosing the Samsung Galaxy S3 (Metallic Blue) but I might still choose the iPhone 5 (if it's worth it)
Take a look at some of the custom roms already out for sgs3 and you will see just what can be done, google samsung s3 roms as a starting point.

hi everyone
i just recieved my oneplus one and i've noticed that the recent app interface was way too big for my taste : only 3 apps fit on a 5.5" display
do you know if there is a way either to get the android 5.0 style (with staking cards) or to make the recent apps smaller
thank you in advence
1. Change your DPI to something less (e.g. 480 to 380).
2. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jaydvl.idealthemes.light for Android L "cards" recent apps.
hello,
since 2 weeks i'm owner of a 6039k and i really like that device. the are only 2 things i can't find (and i thought it's more like a vanilla android ):
1. i have no equalizer-settings (except that jbl-sound on/off switch - but even with my jbl-earphones it sounds horrible). do have any idea how to enable the lollipop default equalizer? or can you recommend an equalizer for me (should be small/fast - i've tried some apps but they decreased the loudness very hard)
2. on my last samsung devices my contacts used to have a function of "auto-merging" similiar contacts. on idol i can merge single contacts, but i can't find any option like i had before. do you have any tipps?
thnx, peter

Hello guys,
As some of you may already know - Samsung announced their Galaxy Note 7 and it has an interesting power-saving feature. Namely, it can drop screen resolution from 1440x2560 to 720x1280 in order to save power. I'm curious if we can this thing on our Galaxy S7/Edge devices too. The main problem with simply doing that with root is that the system framework (and apps) are usually not suitable for DPI different than stock so Contacts, Camera etc etc etc get cut, badly aligned, misplaced... : ) Since Note 7 apparently has this function, this means that probably it's system apps + framework no longer suffer from such problems and can be used with a custom DPI too!
If my thoughts are correct - maybe we can get a feature like this on our devices (by porting the framework + system apps) and achieve this functionality?
Looks like they'll also need to disable whatever it is that reduces performance (in medium mode) and all network access (high mode). It's not just a resolution switch
.... Edit, I stand corrected - you can make your own preset

I'd argue we'll get the exact same features once the Note 7 is officially released; officially from Samsung and unofficially via XDA.
For me top 3 things (Pocophone F1)
+price. (Unbeatable)
+Snapdragon 845 (speed)
+ No hardware issues yet (no bleeding, no screen touch issue, no overheating)
bottom 3 things:
- ̶G̶a̶l̶l̶e̶r̶y̶ ̶(̶ ̶s̶t̶o̶c̶k̶)̶ ̶a̶p̶p̶!̶!̶!̶ ̶w̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶h̶e̶c̶k̶?̶?̶ ̶.̶.̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶s̶e̶e̶ ̶a̶l̶b̶u̶m̶s̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶e̶x̶t̶ ̶S̶D̶ ̶c̶a̶r̶d̶?̶ ̶H̶a̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶i̶n̶s̶t̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶3̶r̶d̶ ̶p̶a̶r̶t̶y̶ ̶a̶p̶p̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶d̶i̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶j̶o̶b̶ (edit : Gallery OK now seems I had too many albums and it took a day or so for it to scan and load all of them from SD card)
- it looks quite thick (and plasticky) doesn't it? (but in both hands is fine it is not a massive problem and it's not too heavy... I just wanted speed)
-no nfc
- no colour in LED indicator? (new)
bonus - cannot change minimum width dp at all from developer options. (icons still look slightly big for me)
.....
Interested to know other's top 3 and bottom 3 things about Pocophone F1....
Top 3:
1.Super fast SD845
2.Excellent camera
3.Excellent call sound quality and reception*
Bott 3
1.Headphones sound while playing music is low (I don't hear very well, mind you)
2.Small screen (subjective, I came from a Mi Max Prime)
3. No NFC or IRDA
1. Snapdragon 845 with that price
2. A great camera
3. Battery along with quick charge
Cons
1. Face recognition IR.. I mean what the F will i need IR face recognition even fingerprint is not safe, the safest protection i know would be PIN and pattern double protection..
I would love if they remove it and exchange it with some oled screen..
2. Still lots of OS MIUI bugs here and there.. battery percentage, video stabilization in third party app doesn't work, keyboard being lag and slow for a 845 Soc, sound quality, etc
3. The Design...notch, screen width being not compatible with some games
Hopefully MIUI will get better...
Battery percentage works in latest miui beta.
I know it is a little off-topic but

no idea. my stock gallery app only shows about 4 albums. But I have over 25 albums in my ex SD card. Seems the stock gallery is unable to scan and load all the other albums. But when I installed the A+ Gallery app from playstore then bingo all my albums shown clearly immediately like in my Samsung S7 Edge... I am on miui global ver 9.6.22.0 stable.
EDIT UPDATE: OK after 24 hours now seems the Gallery stock app is showing all my albums.. seems it took alot time for it to do all the scanning and recognizing photo albuns in my SD card. Strange.
Is data transfer speed from PC to poco f1 via USB type c port good?
As far as i ve tested its good around 30Mb/s
Yes, it's fast. Gar faster than my Mi Max.

Isn't that just for BT headsets? Doesn't seem to do anything on the jack.
