I came from Lg G3. There was a build.prompt tweak which allowed split window mode for everything.
Its possible here somehow?

Does anyone know how to change which apps are shortcuts on the lock screen? Currently, I can drag the lock ring right to unlock, up for phone, left for camera, and down for text messaging. I'd like to replace the down shortcut with Google Voice.
I am running the JB soak test with root.
Thank you!

I asked the same question at androidforums in the Photon Q section there. From the answers I received (or lack thereof), my guess is that they can't be changed without changing the lock screen altogether. Apps like GoLocker (which I believe requires GoLauncher EX also be installed) or WidgetLocker (a paid app) will do the trick, but if there is a way to do it with an out-of-the-box phone, I have yet to find it.
Since I'm here, I'm wondering, does the Photon Q have the ability to turnt he lock screen off? as in, you can set the phone's home screen or whatever you were last doing to come up when you hit the power button to turn the screen back on, instead fo going tot he lock screen. I would assume that ability is retained, but since Moto apparently changed the lock screen, I wonder if they removed that function thoughtlessly, as some are known to do.

yes you can set the phone up in JB to have no lock screen. Hit power button and return to last screen viewed.:good:
LG VS920 Spectrum, ICS.
Recently, after booting from regular or Safe Mode, the phone does not get to the PIN lock screen. Instead there's a rectangular screen in the middle surrounded by black space. That middle screen consists of 3 sets of screens that are accessed by swiping up or down.
One screen set consists of different clocks that can be accessed by swiping right or left of each image.
Another screen consists of a Notifications status screen. There is no left-right swiping for that screen.
Another screen consists of the music player interface that plays tunes via the player controls. There is no left-right swiping for that screen.
A phone call screen pops up when someone calls and we can accept the call and talk.
However, we can't consistently get to the PIN lock screen or the regular phone interface to access apps. We've tried removing the battery and booting in Safe Mode, but none of that makes a difference. However, the lock screen occasionally appears if we keep making attempts to move the phone to different positions.
After removing the lock screen we can pull down notifications but still can't get to the Home screen by pressing the Home button. I was intermittently able to access the phone screens long enough to take some screenshots of the offending window that is blocking the Home screen.

Any ideas on how we can get the phone back to normal operation will be appreciated. Thanks.
[Solved]
I think the problem was due to the Pouch Mode feature, which allows some app features such as notifications to appear after pulling the phone out of a pocket or pouch.
Connectivity -> Pouch Mode was enabled. The pre-Home screen problem went away after I disabled it.
Also I have the same problem
I'm trying to write a Tasker task that would, among other things, trigger one-handed mode on my S8+. Simulating the triple home button press doesn't work as it's too slow, and I don't want to use the swipe as it stupidly resets the size of the reduced screen to default (I prefer it a bit bigger). So now I'm trying to figure out what the activity is that launches when you put the phone in one-handed and trigger that directly. It does not appear to be something you can adjust through settings as I took a list of settings from adb before and after triggering the mode change and nothing was different. Any thoughts on locating this?
You can resize that window as well. Swipe from the edge of the screen as you normally do, then swipe towards the bottom of the screen without lifting your finger up.

Thanks, that might be useful. But can Tasker simulate that input of swiping up and then down without lifting?
Update: logcat shows a few interesting messages when one-handed mode is started. The first output is "SamsungPhoneWindowManager: toggleEasyOneHand() enabled=1". Then there's some stuff that seems to control the screen shrinking animation and set up the background for the non-usable screen space, and then there's a vibration call from a package called "com.sec.android.easyonehand".
I figure my best shot at doing what I'm trying to do is to either find a way to send that toggle command to the window manager directly or figure out the right activity to start in that system package. Unfortunately it looks like inspecting the package manifest is a no-go. Anyone have any thoughts on the next step?
Edit: was able to get the manifest after all. There's an intent filter action called "com.samsung.action.EASYONEHAND_SERVICE". I've tried calling that with an am start command in terminal emulator and I get "unable to resolve intent".
So you could not find a proper solution? Im interested in this too
Hello. I'm new here and I really need your help. Recently bought Huawei Mate 9 and I cannot use the screen recording feature. Whenever I click the icon on the status bar, my phone only goes back to the home page and is not showing the prompt to start recording the screen. I also tried the knuckle screen record and the Volume Up + Power button and same thing happens. My screen only goes back to home and does not show any prompt to start screen recording.

Have you turned off window animations in developer mode? Put them back on. At least to .5x
Where can I find that setting sir/maam. Still having this problem. Thanks so much for reply.
You have to enable the Developer options.
Settings > About phone > Build number
Once you’ve found the Build number section of the settings, tap on the section 7 times. After two taps, a small pop up notification should appear saying "you are now X steps away from being a developer" with a number that counts down with every additional tap.
The thing is if you don't know where developer mode is, it means you did not turn off animations in developer mode in the first place ?

Hi - I had this issue as well with my Mate 10 Pro and I found out a way to fix mine: Go to Settings > in the search bar type "Dropzone apps" > Dropzone apps
This sets the permission for individual apps to display over other apps. In "Dropzone apps", find "Screen Recording" and turn on the permission. This fixed my problem. Hope this helps you too!

hi,
I didnt find anywhere the answer: how to triggen android split screen mode?
I'm not talking about double screen accessory, i dont have it! Just regular split screen in half.
Normally on LG G7 it worked by pressing longer the switch task button.
Same question about one hand mode, how to trigger it?
thanks !!
I have been looking for the same feature! I wonder if it's a bug with the recent Android update on the LG v50?

I haven't these problems with my v50 korean kt 20o android 10 April patch. For the one hand mode function, do you have enabled it in settings? Do you have tried to factory reset?
